Once they were open, it took a long time between us being given menus to finally getting our food- 50 minutes. They should've given us our side while we were waiting for the board. We ordered a side of salami and Swedish cheese and the hairy pig board. I enjoyed the side, but the board not so much. The board consisted of wild boar sausage with broche bun, wild boar taco, peppercorn fries, and wild boar lasagna. The board was quite heavy and salty. I didn't have enough stomach space to even try the taco. I did enjoy the fries, but it's not enough for me to want to return.

This place is tucked below street level and is very intimate and downright cozy with its low beam wood ceiling, wood tables in every cranny it can fit to accommodate guests, and a tiny little bar. You can find this place outside by the wooden sign with the boar on it, then simply peer down into the low window and if you see a hairy pig nomming on a sausage, congratulations! You're in the right place. We stopped in not long before closing time and that was probably the only reason we were able to get a much coveted table. The barkeep was nice and let us put in a quick order while also getting us drinks. Unfortunately for me, there were not very many gluten free tapa options on the menu, but there were a few naturally gf. The salami and sausages were thought to have gluten so I went with the smoked shell on shrimp, a cheese dip, and some salad with olives. I wasn't crazy about the smoked shrimp but the olives and cheese were good. The husband enjoyed a sausage in bun which he said was great. Overall we liked the vibe and I think if you can eat the locally sourced meats like my husband it's probably a pretty solid place. If you're gf or allergy you'll probably still be hungry at the end of the meal like I was.

In an area that is rapidly becoming more and more popular there has not really been that many options for a good cup of coffee. AB cafe have coffee from localish roaster Drop Coffee and also serve great pastries, sandwiches and salads. That coupled with nice friendly service, pretty nice 60s style furniture and free wifi makes for a great cafe. I particularly like the breakfast menus and often go for the large breakfast where one can select any three breakfast items (a variety of different sandwiches, yogurt, smoothies, baked egg etc) as well as any coffee or tea and a croissant. It is usually almost enough to feed two people so really great option. They also have a weekly dish, as well as salads, grilled sandwiches and some of the best baked cinnamon buns in town. It is well worth a trip to the suburbs so do visit!

Drinks are OK (I would have loved to have teas like mariage or betjeman). But even if the food is good, this is not why I think this place is amazing. It is because I think that they achieved to mix something utterly difficult: making French and Swedish cultures cohabitate but not mix. Taking the strong and pleasant aspect of each, at least from my French point of view, and letting them shine. The place is small, and the decoration not bragging its origin, so what I am describing will be much more found in details and behavior of the service. In one sentence, they are comforting because they know that they are doing a great job, with passion, and take pride of it without the need to play a role or brag about it. And they are caring. The interior decor is nice and the whole place has a quaint hip neighborhood feel to it. The staff was also lovely and helpful here! I adored the chicken, mayo and egg baguette that I ordered. Their other options included more sandwiches, soups, and salads. The soup that I saw ordered by a pal looked quite delightful and filling as well. The price I paid for lunch was also wonderful at 65:-. I have to wonder what the going rate for a subway sandwich is these days, because my baguette was a million times more delightful and also an economical sandwich style lunch option. I would definitely consider this place if your in the area. TIP- If you like the cups here you can buy them at the store next door. The owner's wife is the ceramist and makes them all. Food is freshly made on site and usually feels fresh. My clear favorite is the thaish salad (as they call it). Salad with chilies, noodles, beef and nuts. Fresh and just the right bit of spicy. Service at this location is friendly but at times terribly slow. I try to avoid peak hours or send a colleague to pick up the food. I have never actually eaten at the location but there are some tables but most people use it for take out. Coffee is also very affordable here so for those not that focused and quality of the coffee this is a good option.

Upon walking in, the owner will greet you at the cashier station. Order, pay and go find a seat. There is plenty of seating now and a gorgeous patio for warmer days. The two subway stations that get here best are Hötorget or T-centralen. There is no direct bus or taxi, as it is on Gamla Brogatan, which is a walking street. Any transport that passes those two stations will get you pretty close for walking. If you can wait a little after lunch rush, you get a peaceful spot to eat.
