So I feel extra special knowing I am bringing in clothing into this lovely family owned business. I have so many ideas on modifying my garments. And speaking with the team such as with Carlos and revisioning a different way to wear clothing, makes me feel connected. They always seem as excited to work on my projects as I am to fitting them in a 1-3 week window! Please! Buy that top you thought you couldn't fit, buy those pants that drops too long. Never regret walking pass a nice piece, they will guide you thru their services on making it suit your needs with an add of flare. At that point, Jordan said he would only refund $30 of the $35. When I inquired why, he explained that he had already spent time marking the buttons (60 seconds) and replied: "My time is money. I'm tired of you people coming in here and then changing your mind." I'm not sure who "you people" refers to, but that comment felt unnecessary and off-putting. Sadly, I've been going to him for almost 10 years and he does decent work. Maybe he was just having a bad day. He did ultimately return the full $35, and I left without saying anything. That said, based on this experience, I don't plan to return--and I'd be hesitant to recommend this shop to "my people" (we all kind look alike) or others.

I popped in, they pinned it in under 10 minutes and the dress was ready within a week. It fit like a dream, and they were able to make a slight tweak to the back to hide the cat gouge entirely. In total I paid $110. Other girls in the wedding paid maybe $60 or $70 outside of the city but they also had to argue with little old women or chase down home seamstresses. For the professionalism alone and not having to worry about this dress not being ready or whatever, I'd pay the $110 again. They did give me my dress back in a different bag than the one I sent it in with. I didn't say anything to them because it didn't matter to me, but if it matters to you, let them know, or keep your bag.

He said he could do it in a few days, but I ended up going without my primary coat for a week because he kept lengthening the time. Then when I finally came in to pick it up, he had forgotten to re-attach the button. He did so on the spot, and a few weeks later, the button popped off again and I lost it forever. Not a one star review because he did lengthen the sleeves and patch the jacket, but I needed it back sooner than I got it.
