My mother was gifted a blanket by her late sister over two decades ago. The blanket was so loved and used that it become frayed to irreparable. My mother instructed me to discard it because it was completely unusable. But I kept it, since I knew deep down it was an irreplaceable item to her/us. Binh tailored my wedding gown and did an absolutely incredible job, I cannot recommend her enough. I wanted a few relatively largely changes made to my Amsale gown, and Binh executed each expertly. She removed an entire lace layer from the gown and opened up the slit. This came out wonderful, and she was able to advise me on the best way to go about this process in order to make sure the dress was not too sheer. My gown was also quite a bit loose in several areas, and Binh did a wonderful job taking it in perfectly throughout the hip and legs, as well as in the waist and bust. I brought in my grandmother's wedding dress to be altered to wear for my own wedding. The dress wasn't in very good condition due to poor storage, and there were some very tricky lace repairs that All Fit did a nice job with. Unfortunately, that was about the end of my positive experience there. I wish Binh had been honest with me at the start of our work together that this kind of alteration of an older dress wasn't her speciality. Instead, she just seemed annoyed that she had to work with me at all. I watched her greet several other brides warmly and spend 15-30 minutes working with them, while I was lucky to get 5 or 10 minutes before being rushed out of my appointments. I picked up my dress the week before the wedding only to discover that it was still several inches too long. I called Binh and drove two hours to bring the dress back to her for a last minute fix. When I arrived, Binh insisted that I had told her not to change the length, and showed me a note she'd written at a previous meeting that the length was good. I don't know how that miscommunication happened, but I can't imagine that she saw me wear the dress with my intended shoes, saw that it was four or five inches too long, and thought that was acceptable. When I finally picked up the adjusted dress the day before the wedding, it was still somehow too long. I'm honestly not entire sure if it was shortened at all in the six days between when I dropped it off and picked it up. I was stepping on the front all day during my wedding, and even had to switch to a back up dress for the reception because I couldn't dance in my dress, even with the expensive bustle that Binh added. I'm really disappointed with my experience, and despite being extremely happy with all of the the other vendors for my wedding, really regret choosing All Fit. I'm sure All Fit provides a great service for fitting newer dresses, but I would never recommend bringing an older item here unless you want to be treated coldly and end up with a poorly fitted garment. read more

She was able to add another layer to the dress to both give the skirt a fuller look and seamlessly make my dress seem longer! The seamstress told me one number when I had her look at it, upon picking up the dressed charged me $200 dollars more then what she quoted me. She blamed it on her accent and said I must not of understood her. I understood her perfectly well and almost fought it until I realized she had my dress hostage. Lan and Nam are super sweet (no fuss, no attitude). If you want to try a new tailor at a great price then give them a try. They're newly opened for a few months so they're currently offering 25% off through the end of June. I brought in two dresses for some basic alterations and couldn't be more pleased. The yellow Theory dress (pictured) had straps taken up to reduce the gap at the arm hole. The navy Banana Republic maxi dress (also pictured) was shortened on the bottom. Both jobs were completed a few days early. I dropped off both items last Saturday and was promised one week but I received a call that they were ready on Wednesday. Both jobs were completed for a total of $30 after the 25% off promotion. I also snagged their pricing list for other alterations but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post it or if it's more for my own reference. This place was the worst! I'm new to Boston so I was trying to figure out where to go to get my wedding dress fitted. I saw this place so I booked a consultation and that's when it all went wrong. It took the woman 25 minutes and $80 total to tell me that alterations would cost me $1,000 (I understand this is a ritzy part of town so that's not even the part that upset me the most), but on top of that, she was rude! Before telling me the price for alterations, she was already telling me I couldn't afford additional alterations and that if I wanted to save some money on taking the sides in on my dress, I should "spend the money for alterations on eating more cheeseburgers instead". Not even kidding you. She then goes on to tell me about how she has gained weight over the years and for me not to worry, that once I get married and a few years go on I'll become "fat and happy". It was just obvious that she is struggling with her self esteem by putting me down, instead, but it was so unprofessional that I couldn't wait to get out of there. And as far as me becoming fat and happy - actually, no. I'm a vegetarian who leads an active lifestyle and I do my best to take care of myself in the best way that I can. Body shaming is NEVER an okay thing to do, and it's important to recognize how your own internal issues can become misplaced towards someone else. I really hope she can learn to love herself because to me, that's where those types of comments stem from. read more

If you have a wedding dress to be tailored, don't even think about anywhere else, because All Fit's got you covered. The staff is not only incredibly friendly, but incredibly talented- my dress could not have fit me more perfectly, and they were able to rejigger a complicated lace/crochet overlay and make it look like it had never been touched. They made some great suggestions ("let's make mom happy and keep a mini-train, and the next time you come in you can see what it looks like and we can trim it off if you don't like it"), and were honest about what would and would not work or look good (for example, if I made the dress any snugger any lower, I wouldn't be able to move and dance freely). These ladies really know their stuff, and I felt beautiful on my wedding day partly because of the work they did on my dress (and will post pictures shortly). Boston has a million tailors. They're all over - but the problem is, when you look through reviews, there tend to be many positive reviews (OMG best tailor EVER!! He did everything SO fast and saved my wedding!!!) and many negatives (She destroyed my favorite suit!! STAY AWAY!!!). So, you never really know where to go. They all charge generally the same amount, so price isn't a help either. After doing a bunch of homework, I landed on All Fit on Newbury St. to get a few jeans tailored. For $30 a pair (and they accept credit cards unlike some other shops), they keep the original hem, and do a MUCH cleaner/better job than other tailors in the area who have done similar work for me in the past. You don't feel rushed, the people are friendly, and the work is done on-time and done well. I've never been more impressed with a tailor. And to back that up, they have about 100 wedding dresses currently in progress in the shop. So the fact that so many people trust them is another positive sign. My Mother of the Bride dress did not fit correctly and I was skeptical about how the local tailor wanted to alter it. My daughter uses this tailor for alterations. Instead of altering the shoulders, they pulled up the waist and shortened the sleeves. The dress looked incredible on me! On the day of my wedding, my maid of honor was stemming one of my dresses and the stemmer created a massive stain On the dress. As I was panicking, my maid of honor called Binh from All Fit. Binh was not working that day but instructed my sister to have someone meet her and bring the dress and she would figure it out. In under 3 hours, Binh had cut out the piece that was stained and used a piece of my train that she had cut previously to replace the stained part. You could not tell, the dress looked absolutely perfect. I know All Fit is a little pricier than some of the other options but you literally cannot beat that kind of service. Both of my dresses came out absolutely perfect. The week of my wedding, one of my dresses was too big because I had lost too much weight and of course Binh had fixed it within 24 hours. I brought a bridesmaids dress here for tailoring. It was very large so the alterations were quoted at $475. I proceeded because I need the alterations done and do not have a lot of time to quote elsewhere. I mentioned the price to the dress store where I purchased the dress and they were shocked. I promptly called All Fit and asked them not to start the alterations yet. That's literally all I said. Next I know, the owner is calling me telling she's removed the pins. Now, I haven't canceled the work or been refunded and she's removing the pins. I do plan to take the dress elsewhere as other similarly talented tailors on the same street are $170. When I informed her I never canceled the service and would have been happy to pay her for the fitting she told me she couldn't leave the pins in because she was afraid I would sue her if I got poked. She then got angry when I told her how ridiculous this was and she exclaimed she wasn't going to let someone else "steal her work." This woman I know does good work, but her ego combined with her reactive personality make her undesirable to work with. As I mentioned, I was very happy to pay her for the fitting to save myself another trip to newbury street. The dress store was going to pick up the dress and bring it to the less expensive tailor so I didn't need an additional trip and fitting. She also has refused to refund me until I come into the store because she claimed she's unable to process a refund unless I'm in the store. I have disputed this with my credit card company to avoid dealing with this woman. Very unexpected and undesirable behavior coming from a high end business owner over spending 10 minutes pinning a dress and then behaving as though she's the only person capable of doing so. She actually insulted other local tailors saying "you get what you pay for". This woman has a high degree of arrogance and a bit of a temper. I hear her alterations are high end but all I got was a high end temper tantrum with a large dose of drama, but thankfully I'm only a bridesmaid and she didn't do this to the bride. I was very impressed by quick turn-around time at All Fit. I brought my Bridesmaid dress in for alterations Friday and it was ready for pick up on Monday! I felt as though my consultation was very rushed (though I was not looking to make any extreme changes to the dress). They quickly pinned and chalked the dress for hemming and that was that. I would have preferred to have a bit more communication, but, I suppose that may be why their turn-around is so quick! I'll take it. I paid $100 for the straps to be pulled up a half an inch and for the hemming at the bottom.
