Tapas style eats. Sitting at the tables, the service can be spotty. But at the bar they are more on top of things. The food is brought up from the downstairs kitchen. The birria tacos were delicious. Loved the ropa vieja bites, they were delectable bites exploding with flavor. The onion was huge for only $10. The batter was seasoned well, the sauce was really good, but between two people were defeated in our attempt to finish it. We got a quarter of the way theough and tapped out. The steak skewers were ok. Not that great, not terrible though. They were ice cold by the time they got up to us, maybe if they were warm it could have been better. They have live music at times too which can really liven up the joint. I think it's the perfect spot for light drinks and eats after an evening at the casino or day at the pool. read more

The bar here is pretty good with fast service and late-night snacks and food. One of the more reasonable prices you can find on-site and the latest as well besides room services. We had a few specialty cocktails along with an order of sampling of appetizers and one main to share. Everything was delicious, we especially liked the tuna on plantains dish we got. It can be fairly relaxed, to loud and crazy depending on the day of the week and if there is a band or performance. Overall, a great place to sit and have a drink or snack. read more

Lovely to sit here (especially when there is no dj). Jose is a wonderful bartender and server and is knowledgeable about all the rums. We had shrimp with garlic (yummy) and steamed dumplings (too chewy on the outside) but great dipping sauce. Espresso martinis are amazing. As well as mezcal old fashioned and a premium rum tasting of 3 rums. Prices for liquor are high (as expected) and food prices are reasonable. Happy to be here. Great spot at Rio Mar hotel. read more

I wanted to leave a review in the hotel website but they don't have a section for doing that. I live in Rio Mar so I wanted to stay inside the resort. I went for a couple of drinks and something light to eat. First I ordered the shrimp ceviche. Trust me, the pictures are deceiving. The size of the ceviche is not bigger than a 8-year old kid's fist. I knew it was small, so I ordered the root vegetable chips to go with the ceviche. They never came. I asked for a spoon, three times, it never came. Then the server asked me if I wanted something on the house, so I ordered the Birria Tacos. After almost an hour, they never came. In fact, the person next to me at the bar ordered the Birria tacos also and they came 15 minutes after she ordered them. The servers were blaming the kitchen, but I am not convinced that was the case. The manager came and apologized and offered a free drink. I took it to go, but frankly, the whole bill should have been comped. Awful service. These people don't care. read more

This bar has a cool and fun vibe. It looks and feels chic, but not too pretentious though. A DJ is getting the ambiance geared up for the NYE night. Some light bites are available here as well. Nice cocktails for sure too. Prices are all a bit higher here, but then again every spot in the resort is higher than some. read more

This was my first time & first meal in Puerto Rico, and boy was it a heck of a first meal. I stopped by because I couldn't get a last minute reservation at the hotel restaurant. This bar was close to the lobby and they had some empty tables so I decided to give it a try. First of all before I say anything about the food, let me tell you about my awesome, amazing waiter, who actually is not a waiter he's a bartender who was helping out that particular evening. His name is José. His recommendations, his customer service, his pleasant personality and demeanor, and the way he gave us fun facts and answered all of our drink questions, it was simply amazing. Whenever I eat at this place during my stay I'm going to ask for Jose. He was such a joy and he really was the perfect ending to my first day in Puerto Rico. Prior to my trip, I was watching a television show and they were talking about birria tacos. They looked so delicious and I told myself I must try those tacos. When I saw them on the menu, it was a sign. I also ordered a mango faujito (a virgin mojito). Another great decision. When I tell you these tacos were so delicious, so full of flavor, the short rib was tender, the taco shells had a slight crispness on the outside & were stuffed with meat. When I dipped them in that au jus, it was heaven. If that was my last meal, I'd die a happy woman. I couldn't believe how yummy it was. I want to tell you about this mango faujito. I almost drank the whole thing after the first few sips. I love mango! This drink was sweet with a touch tart topped off with all that refreshing mint. Definitely adding this to my drink repertoire when I get back home. read more

A+++ ambiance, service, food and cocktails!!! Located right in the main lobby at Wyndham Grand / Margaritaville main lobby, it tucks itself away nicel and gives a great ambiance to enjoy cocktails and/ or dinner. Night one we ordered espresso martinis from Christopher, an experienced mixologist who made us a specialty cocktail afterward that matched our flavor pallets perfectly. Night two we grabbed their 40oz margarita and ordered a couple of sushi rolls, which we had seen the first night and they looked amazing. Well, they did not disappoint, as it was some of the freshest sushi I've ever tasted, absolutely delicious. There's a full tapas/entree menu we haven't tried yet, and will try and sample while still here. Drinks are pricy, food is actually reasonably priced compared to the quality you receive and being inside the hotel/resort. read more

This place is located inside the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar resort which you probably know already. It is one of many restaurants, its main appeal being the copious TV screens for sports watching as well as the late night hours, it's open until midnight. The last reason I mentioned above is the reason we chose to dine here one of the nights of our stay. There were plenty of tables available and TNF was playing as entertainment. I had participated in my fair share of imbibing already on that particular day (it's vacation....stop judging) so I went a little light with one of their beers. My GF ordered a cocktail which was tasty enough that she proceeded to order a second. I will, at this illogical portion of the review, comment on our AMAZING server. Call me drunk off of vacation bliss, but she just seemed like a very warm person, and I appreciated her energy. She also provided prompt service and double-checked the orders we placed for accuracy. We ordered a few smaller items: one of the pizza flatbreads, the burrata salad, and mashed potatoes. The burrata salad was BOMB. The burrata was creamy and the halfed cherry tomatoes added a nice touch. The pizza was disappointing because it was very small and considering the price, this was a bit of a rip off. I'd recommend against ordering this. The mashed potatoes were delicate and flavored to perfection. Again, a small-ish portion. This place has very good food and a nice ambiance. Be weary if you're on the hungrier side. read more

The pork baskets are the best thing we've had at the Grand Rio Del Mar- we haven't been super happy with most of the food here at the resort but these were so good we got them twice! The salad and tacos were also good but definitely too pricey for what you get read more

Great place to grab food and drinks. It's not cheap so try and go during happy hour to get buy one get one free margarita and beer. We've eaten here twice since we've been here probably will go back again before we leave. Convenient and fun with live music. Really tasty food. read more

It is a wonderful bar with excellent service and delicious food. The mac and cheese is amazing and they have lots of great cocktail options, and happy hour specials. Great bar with both indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly service with good food; the Avocado and Caprese Crostini was absolutely delicious. They also have a kids menu. Drink specials are also available at certain times including 2 for 1 on certain beers, wine or margaritas. read more
