My first time in PR and I wanted to try the roadside restaurant and mofongo. The food was great here and the drinks were awesome. They got a little busy but well worth the stop. The coconut mojito was fabulous. Open air restaurant with fun vibe. Drove by at night and it was still lively. The server was awesome he was attentive and we didn't have to tell him but once what we wanted.

For our last night in Puerto Rico we decided to go to Asador Boricua. We passed it so many times during our stay in Luquillo. We were looking for something low key with a nice atmosphere. This place more than fulfilled our expectations! Our sever was very attentive and friendly. The food was spectacular! So flavorful! One of the best meals we had on our trip! I ordered the Churassco Mufungo. The meat was by far the best quality we had on the trip. The mufungo was also hands down the best (and we ate a lot of mufungo)! I ordered a garlic butter sauce for my dish one the side. A lot of the mufungo offered at other places came with it, and needed it! This one did not need it! I felt foolish because I barely used the sauce, the dish was so delicious and moist! My husband ordered the Pernil al Caldero. He loved his dish as well. I hope this place does well, they deserve it! Highly recommend!!

Asador Boriqua in Puerto Rico is a culinary treasure! The food is absolutely delicious, with the same incredible menu and ownership that made El Ambique in Isla Verde a beloved spot until its closing. I loved it so much that, during my recent trip to Isla Verde, I happily drove 30 minutes--twice--to savor their dishes. The staff is exceptional, and the food is out of this world. It would be amazing if the owner reopened the former location in Isla Verde. El Ambique was truly like a "Cheers" for tourists and locals alike, and it feels like a big part of the community is missing now. Special shoutout to Jenny and Domino, my all-time favorite servers, who became like family over the years.

Excellent service and the food was outstanding. We ordered mofongo al ajillo and it was 10/10. Highly recommend!!

WOW WOW WOW WOW BEST FOOD IN PUERTO RICO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We came here after a wonderful hike, water slide, rope swing, and cliff diving in El Yunque rainforest. Staff are friendly and ambience is airy with natural breeze and light. The skirt steak was DELICIOUS - we ordered it medium rare and it was perfectly tender and juicy. The chimichuri sauce was made with fresh herbs and oil. We loved dipping the succulent skirt steak in the chimichuri sauce for a perfect bite. It came with 1 side and a yummy salad. The ribs were so tender and fell off the bone. You don't even need to chew. It melts in the mouth. The ribs were glazed with a smokey barbecue sauce. The whole dish was decorated with yummy bbq, chimichuri, and sriracha sauce which paired perfectly with the ribs. We finished the fantastic meal with decadent chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and chocolate drizzle. So good!!!

I was here as part of a tour I did in the rainforest. We stopped here for lunch/early dinner. They have a big open but covered patio which shades you from rain. The menu had all the Puerto Rican classics. The service is fast given how many tourists / tours were coming in and they kept up with their guests. I was seated at the bar and the bartender was very nice and accommodating with drinks and food.

Late night snack. Fish tacos, fish bites, salad and drinks.

My friends enjoyed a generous serving of wood-fired garlic knots as an appetizer and they loved their pizzas (not pictured). Although not advertised on the website, it seems that they carry a limited number of cauliflower crusts (recommend calling ahead if concerned about availability). The cauliflower crust pizza tasted great! Update: upon arrival, the waiter announced that they were out of mint for mojitos, BUT, he actually went to the grocery store during our meal to purchase mint. The mojitos were phenomenal! The service was outstanding. Check this place out!

My wife ordered the veggie omelette, which was clearly made fresh and nicely done. We also shared the French toast, which was soft and delicious, though slightly overdone on the bottom. That said, it didn't take away from the overall experience. Service was excellent--friendly, fast, and efficient--and there's plenty of comfortable indoor seating. Overall, a wonderful and tasty breakfast spot that we'd happily return to when in Río Grande.

We were staying across the street at the Surfing Turtle Inn and stopped in on our first morning because we needed a quick breakfast and coffee before our El Yunque excursion. The staff immediately stood out for their kindness and attentiveness. When they noticed we were in a hurry, they went above and beyond to get our order ready quickly without sacrificing quality. My husband ordered a cortadito and coffee cake, and I asked for an everything bagel with cream cheese, even though it wasn't on the menu. The staff was incredibly accommodating and happily made it for me. It was phenomenal. The bagel was perfectly toasted, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and honestly one of the best bagels I've ever had. The coffee cake was moist, light, and not overly sweet. The next morning, we considered trying somewhere new, but we kept talking about Coffee Therapy and found ourselves heading right back. Once again, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. This time, I ordered the avocado bagel with vegetables, and my husband got the Full Morning Therapy breakfast with French toast and eggs. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. In fact, the moment I finished my meal, I wanted another one, but my stomach told me otherwise! I enjoyed a latte while my husband happily ordered another cortadito. The food, coffee, and service were exceptional both times we visited. It has been one of the best breakfast experiences we've had in a long time. If you're in Luquillo, Coffee Therapy is an absolute must-visit. We will be thinking about those breakfasts long after our trip is over.
