    We made it!!

We saw this place on Bar Rescue and stopped in for a drink during our bike ride. Our drinks were served fast and were tasty. We would have got food, but they didn't have brunch available on that particular day (maybe it was because of the off season?) Overall it was a good experience!

Had a wonderful meal, drink and day at El K'rajo. Absolute gem of a spot on a beautiful beach with great food and drinks. The frozen mojito was one of my favorites ever. We had the octopus salad and shrimp and ribs. All were so good and fresh. The plantain fries were so good and something I have never had. The food is so well done. Janet and Eddie took great care of us. Service was great and they were so friendly. Can't wait to go back. Good for locals or out of town era.

Best Frozen Mojitos with a variety of flavors. 5 stars service and the best views in the area.

Stopped in n on a Thursday had the beach to ourselves for a while or at least till they opened. We were invited in before opening and treat well the whole time we were here for 5 hours wasting the day. We enjoyed the Mampo chicken, rice and beans and plantain fries. Epic views and amazing staff!

    Piña colada. Excellent!

I heard of this place on the tv show bar rescue. This place is great. Food and drinks spot on. Very friendly people and plus the owners doing what owners should do, give great hospitality. Great experience and will come back for sure when I'm in Puerto Rico.

Great staff, great service super friendly. Drinks are delicious and strong but not overpowering. Food is good as well. Coming back for more!

Super cool place on the beach! Food was good, the drinks were great, and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend the Mofongo Fritas and the Carne Frita. You have to try the house drink "Un K'rajo". You can choose to sit by the bar or outside on the beach.

What a treat! I first heard of this bar on Bar Rescue. I'm only in San Juan for two nights, but I can honestly say this has been an amazing place to come and relax. There are plenty of locals here! I can see why! The food is absolutely amazing for a beach bar! I've been here for four hours and have tried four cocktails (stopping now). I don't think you can get a bad cocktail at this place! The story behind their owners, what happened during the hurricane, how bar rescue change the place, and to see if thriving now is such a great thing... And I'm glad to be part of it. You won't regret coming here! It took only eight dollars in an Uber from my hotel located near the airport.

We got recommended here from our hotel concierge and she did not disappoint. This place is highly frequented by the neighborhood regulars but it's hard to hide such a delightful gem like this. So not surprisingly you have a steady stream of tourists who are constantly trickling in the entire time as well. The ambiance is a lot to do with the experience here. It is all outdoor seating with 5-6 different spots you can choose to sit. The seats and tables are set up in bare minimum style and they focus more on the food and the local chill vibe they flow through this place. Apparently, the food we ordered were mostly street food appetizers. This was mainly because they had so many delectable options in the app section that we ended up solely ordering a wild medley of their assorted apps. We tried their Risotto & Chorizo Croquettes, Stuffed Fried Plaintains (Spicy Crab, Beef, & Shrimp), Spicy Crab Eggrolls, & Fish Tacos. Everything was good but the Shrimp Stuffed Plaintains were the most delicious. The bonus to this place is that they rock upbeat electronic music like an upbeat lounge you'd come across in New York or LA. It doesn't hurt that you are seconds away from an unoccupied beach front where you can dig your toes in the soft sand and the cool water splashes up to your ankles all afternoon long. It is a mini paradise spot that you must check out.

We parked and sat ourselves and were quickly told the kitchen would not open for an hour - that explains why there were no customers. That was okay and there is nothing wrong with sipping on a few mojitos while the stove warms up. The drinks were good and our waitress was fantastic and very helpful. We ordered several food items to try and enjoyed each one. By the time we left, the place was packed. Contra Viento y Mearea is now on my list.
