I hired Helping Hands Movers through U-Haul's local labor service. It was an excellent crew, and…read morethey surpassed my expectations. I had two U-Haul PODS to load a 1000 square foot townhouse. When I hired Helping Hands Movers I booked the two hour minimum with two movers through U-Haul. I was hoping they would be able to load my furniture in that time frame. They were able to load the entire house in a little over an hour. They took great care with my furniture and wrapped everything as they were placing it into the PODS. I had already wrapped paper and padding around many of the furniture items, and I appreciated the extra care they took. The fee for the two hours was amazingly low considering all their work and effort in a short period of time. I would book them again or recommend them to anyone.

We hired them through U-Haul, and only needed a few hours with 2 people. We are in our sixties and have moved several times. We had already emptied out most of the storage unit, and just needed help with about 5 pieces of heavier items. We had a truck reserved for the morning, and planned to have Helping Hands load, unload, and take those few pieces upstairs in our new home. The day before, the coordinator called and insisted we didn't have a big enough truck (we did) and we needed more people and time (we didn't). First, he said we needed 3 people for at least 6 hours; then he said they had another job for the afternoon and couldn't give us 3 hours. Then he said he wouldn't do the job because it "didn't meet his expectations." This was on a Thursday at 4:00 PM. We needed someone for Friday morning, as the truck was already reserved. Then on Saturday morning, the coordinator called and said they were on their way to help move (wrong number?) We had 2 friends who volunteered to come. We had the 5 heavy pieces and much of the rest of the unit loaded, unloaded and put into place within 2 1/2 hours. I would NEVER recommend this company for any service.

They give me a bid that was really too low for the job. The three guys showed up and hauled that beast up the steps and dropped it off at my son's apartment. They did a fabulous job, very professional. And I gave them a tip to make up for the low bid for lugging the ultra heavy couch up basement steps. Good guys, great job. Thank you for a job well done!!
