I've ordered from here twice for carryout, and it was an ok experience. The first time I visited, I ordered the Catfish basket, which was a good amount of fish for the price. When I took it home, it seemed a bit overcooked and dried out on the outside; however, the inside was as expected. I gave them a second chance and ordered the same thing again, noting the state of the chicken. The server told me that's how it was prepared. I wasn't upset about the first time, but I was looking for it to be a little lighter and softer. Still, I ordered it again, and it came the same way. If you know you rung it up wrong, correct it. If you are ringing up orders and over charging people, fix it. Don't wait for them to tell you and then you act like you don't care. He told me that I ordered the A1 that cost $33, but he charged me $35. Now $2, isn't going to hurt me because I give more at the traffic lights, but it's the principle and bad customer service. You are the first person everyone sees and talks to on the phone. Disappointing, but it will not keep me from returning. This is the best boil in the city. My grandmother and I ordered the family boil, which was honestly enough to feed approx 4 ppl (especially if you get an appetizer). And it's a very good deal if you compare it to the cost of creating your own boil (especially if you want a variety of protein options and sides). It came with crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, boiled eggs, potatoes, corn, and sausage. Everything tasted amazing and fresh, we kept it simple for the sauce and just did the garlic butter mild. And that ended up being a wonderful reminder that sometimes keeping it simple is the best way to go. The restaurant itself is deceptively big, from the outside it's very hard to tell that there is so much room inside. The restaurant is big enough to host 2-3 large/semi private groups and have them all in separate areas. They also have drink specials for the different days of the week if you find yourself needing to quench your thirst. Honestly, if I'm knit picking, the worst thing about this visit was the parking lot as it's a bit tight, so if you're trying to park/leave at the same time as someone else it becomes a bit of a dance. read more

We came to celebrate my niece's birthday, and when one additional guest arrived, manager Jacob refused to let them sit with us despite there being five open seats at our table. If people are paying separately , don't waste your time because they put everything on ONE bill. We spent $500 there, and his attitude was some of the rudest customer service I have ever experienced. Every time my family and I go we have some type of issue. The service sucks. The way they speak to guest is awful. We've been numerous times and out of 15-20 only one is allergic to seafood they have always allowed us to have that one person bring in outside food due to we spend money and this last time they refused to accommodate and lied about the previous times. I've been here several times and have highly recommended not only this location but their location on 161. Tonight I drove 20 minutes to eat here and upon walking in was greeted with this sign. The mandates were lifted weeks ago and even when they were active these signs weren't up. Not only will I not promote or support a restaurant that forcing masks, but charging people for rules you want to enforce for a mask that can be taken off when I sit down is ridiculous. I'll just head up the Tussing to one of the other boils and won't be back. Very poor management decision that will hurt your business! Do not come here with a large party. I called ahead to make sure we were able to bring a small cake and asked if we needed to make a reservation or let them know in advance we were coming they said yes to the cake and no to the reservation. When we arrived we were not able to be seated until every one was there. I felt like that was awkward because some of the older guest of the party wanted to come early and have some cocktails. We were not able to split the check more than two ways and the signs on the wall included petty theft laws. Although the server was a nice kid, he was very inexperienced, slow, and not very attentive. We had to ask for butter and refills and wait long periods for it to arrive. Also ordering any additional drinks from the bar was not even going to happen. I expect gratuity added on large parties and 18% was not too much . A good seafood boil is one of my favorite meals. Spending years living in Louisiana a crawfish boil is a social event. Living in Ohio now I do a seafood boil a couple times a year. I was out and about on the east side and saw this place. I've got some time to kill and the parking lot is empty. I walk inside and the bartender asks if I want to sit at the bar. I assume because it's dead she knew this might be her only chance to make a tip. I got a shock top. It was in a clean glass but it wasn't very cold. Ordered my food. About 5 minutes later it was delivered. That was my first clue that dinner was going to suck. It takes 30 minutes to cook a boil. 1st the potatoes onions and sausage. After 20 minutes you throw in the corn and crab. 5 minutes later the shrimp and mussels and turn the heat off. Throw it in a large roasting pan and dig in. My food was delivered in a plastic see through bag. The only thing I can figure is the food was pre bagged and just waiting on the customer to pick the type of butter sauce. Everything was over cooked. The seafood was rubber. The corn was obviously frozen and gritty. Almost like field corn not sweet corn. The potatoes literally crumbled when I picked them up. I don't know what artificial chemical was used for the butter sauce it reminded me of a dyed warm mayonnaise. Not "I can't believe it's not butter" but closer to babyshit mustard. The flavor was supposed to be garlic but it reminded me of movie theater butter as it was heavy on the salt. I ate it as I was hungry. I think it was supposed to be a total of 3lbs of seafood. The shrimp were big but I had to devein and peel them myself. I thought that was kinda tacky as the restaurant prices themself as an upscale place. As if they had been over cooked or cooked in old grease. Told the waitress and she said she would tell the manager. She said they were making me new ones but just warmed the same ones up and topped them off with more powered sugar and she said "they're all put in the same amount of time". I reminded her I've had them a few times and they were never this dark/overcooked/burnt. I know they were the same ones because we flipped each of them over because we were really debating about eating them at first. Therefore we saw their shapes. These were the exact same ones. The manager never came around to us to speak or hear my concern/request. I did not feel heard. In fact, I feel played for a fool. Mediocre food mediocre service. I was not taken care of. I won't be back. The booths move. You can feel every movement the person makes behind you. The table wasn't centered for both parties. My friend had to sit on the edge of her seat to reach the table comfortably. The floors need pressure washed with scolding hot water and bleach, it feels like there's a layer of slippery grease when you walk. Felix was our server, the place was busy and yet very over rated. I ordered the Blue lagoon drink. It was really good served its purpose. And ordered the A2 mild with garlic butter. Really good! Next time I'll be sure to have more eggs added to my order. The service was horrible. We counted at least 10 servers working on a Saturday night but service was VERY SLOW! It seem like it was every other person birthday. The birthday song and clapping was really loud! Service was slow because they had to keep singing the birthday song to ppl (lol) 30 minutes into us sitting and waiting me just placed our drink and food order. Drinks came within 15 minutes later. I have officially been to every Seafood Boil in Columbus and this one takes the cake!!!! The house sauce is amazinggggg and so flavorful, I honestly couldn't tell what was in it but it was delicious. I ordered a build your own bag as none of the Signature options were appealing to me. Also, you cannot substitute or make changes to anything that's in the Signature options, so if you don't eat something they offer in those, it's best to just Create your own. In my bag I got Snow Crab, Headless Shrimp and a Lobster Tail, all of which were good. This came with 3 corn and 3 potato, I added an order of boiled eggs to my bag and originally when the food came out, they forgot to add my eggs, but our server quickly went to retrieve them, the only issue with that was that they did not get time to soak in the mixture with the rest of my food. Otherwise, everything else came out perfectly. I think it's important to add that the gloves here were super flimsy and tore almost immediately, which may not be a big deal to some, but I'd double up unless you want your hands messy.
