Everything you'd expect from a true dive bar - smoky as hell, cheap beer, regular regulars - but nevertheless, friendly service and a good time. Expect a few stares though if you're a first timer. They do make an amazing bloody mary - my wife being a New Orleans native says the best around, and I can't disagree. A couple pool tables and darts - come here to drink (not eat, no food available) and chill with your buddies for a while.

From the atmosphere to the food to the staff to the neighborhood visitors, I can honestly say, this place is awesome. The food was amazing, the bartenders were sweet, there was karaoke going on that night, which was so much fun! The vibe felt more like we were hanging out and having a good time with friends rather than just going out to dinner/to a bar - in the best way possible. But when on vacation, calories be damned! I continually went for the "House Special" combination of 3 flavors as was suggested by the lovely girl in the window...picture Sha Na Na but less annoying and, well, pretty....hell, I can't even remeber what the 3 flavors were because they were so potent. On the third visit, my dang Lulinger friend with whom we were staying added a shot of WHATEVER to my glorious House Special and it was more alcohol forward than blissful yumminess....and at the bottom of the completely non-environmentally friendly but perfectly insulated styrofoam cup....GOODNIGHT IRENE! So if you're an alcoholic like me but want to relish in the beautiful flavors of a perfect Daiquiri, skip the extra shot as tempting as it may be. After an effortless google search we discovered that they had been open for forty minutes. Later I overheard that the rude daiquiri dispenserer lived a whopping two minutes away from her place of employment, amplifying the absurdness surrounding her tardiness. All could have been forgiven if it wasn't for the menu advertising the cup selection available for purchase, one option read "stainless steal". Grammar is next to godliness.

Whenever the jukebox did play, it was loud enough to enjoy the music without having to shout to be heard. There was no food available for sale, but we are told the owner sometimes brings in food for the games. They do have TVs with sports, but don't show pay per view events. Their game day special is said to be a $1 beer each time the Saints score. Our bartender Dara was sweet and very welcoming. We didn't see any beers on tap, but bottles weren't expensive. The place wasn't fancy at all, but it was clean. There was plenty of lot parking.
