Gary with cal coast is by far the best in the business. He will get you your vehicles back and get them back in a timely manner.

It left our family in such a sad state for about a good year. They towed away my son's car when he was on his very last payment. My son, he was about 30 at the time, trusted him. And they had a very good rapport, but I guess the guy got greedy.terrrrrible!!! It also happened to another gentleman.I know. I wouldn't even give it one star

Perfect for young buyers, people who want to pay cash, people on a tight budget. Sadly, the previous owner or manager, Chuck I think his name was, passed away last year. Since then, I have notice a drop in quality and increase in prices to the cars they sell. Last year I bought a beater car for my daughter. It was nothing but trouble. Today we went back to the dealership to try and find another car at a fair price. Not only were the cars above KBB, but the cars were not in very good shape. Examples: cars that squealed and shimmied driving around the neighborhood, a car that clunked when shifted in to reverse. Out of the 3 cars were drove, all 3 would need new brakes. As I returned the 1st car, another gentleman dropped some keys off and said, "this car should have been left at the junkyard." The staff I have encountered have always been nice and helpful to me. I would give them 5 stars. Ultimately, we bought another car from a local dealer down the road. Here's the deal-- if you are poor and just need to get by, then you should go by and check them out. BUT understand something- these cars are ALL as-is. Once you sign your name, that car (and all of it's problems) are yours. They TOTALLY allow you to drive it, take it to your mechanic, etc.... Also know that they do NOT do financing. YOU must pay 1/2 down on the car and finance the rest yourself. SO..... research the cars on the lot BEFORE you go in. I don't feel like they are shady, I think their attitude is "this is our inventory, it's as-is, take it or leave it."

It did not need a new filter because I had put one in at the previous oil change and then drove it for only 3 months before storing it again! They not only charged me for a filter, they did a Maintenance Service on it , which included rotating the tires. I did not ask them to do this, nor was it on the pre-service agreement. The bill came to $150.52! Later, I spoke to the mechanic at a dealership regarding another car, and he said that this was ILLEGAL. He also told me that Beach Front Auto "has a reputation". I wish I had known this before taking another car there for a smog. I took another car there for a smog. It "failed" the smog test, at Beach Front Auto, due to an engine light being on. They did NOT attempt to do the oil change seeing that light on, so how could it have failed the test?! -BUT that did not stop them from charging me for a "failed" oil change of $49.00 AND a "diagnostic evaluation" of $148.00 wherein all they did was hook up the hand-held device and it provided 4 codes. THAT'S NOT diagnostic. A diagnosis would be the reason behind the codes. The woman at the desk, who I assume is one of the owners, said there will be extra to find out what the codes even mean. When I took this car into the dealer, they saw only 1 code which was addressed and the car passed smog there. This is when I found out about the reputation of Beach Front Auto. Go at your own risk. These are crooks in my opinion.
