Not to mention I can now squat 100lbs which is the strongest I've ever been in my entire life. I can fit into my clothes from high school better than I did back then (and I did cross-country)! Ive had trainers before but never stayed with them for more than a month. I was always looking for fast results, which never lasted. With Alex I've been training for the past year... he always accommodates when I want to switch it up (add boxing or some abs) and he also holds me accountable. I've maintained my results and completely changed my relationship to fitness and my eating habits. I really look forward to our training sessions and always leave more motivated not just in my fitness goals but in my life in general. Alex is more than a trainer but a friend, a life coach, a mentor. Im so lucky I found him on Yelp searching for a Calabasas trainer and that he trains me in Sherman Oaks to accommodate my crazy schedule. (P.S. Alex is the only person I would ever post my before & after photos for - in case you're not convinced that he's an amazing trainer / miracle worker).

Monique responded to me promptly and we discussed my goals and my current fitness level.  I told her I needed a person who would do house calls.  Monique has developed a really pleasant rapport with me and she also relates to me on a personal level.  She is a great motivator and she counters all my excuses in a reasonable, logical way.  Monique has also suggested some lifestyle changes, which I have followed.  I was suprised to see they really did make a difference in my overall health.   I actually now look forward to my sessions, and a large part of it is because of Monique, her calming influence, and her humor.  It's like having a friend visit me and it's very therapeutic.  She has an extensive knowledge of her field and applications.  No two workouts with her are the same, and she has used Pilates, weight training, yoga, cardio, and introduced new concepts to me if I can handle them.  Monique is super responsive to my needs and always is in touch with me.  She gently challenges me to go outside my comfort level.  She is unbelieveably accomodating  if I need to make an ocassional change in schedule, and I've never skipped a workout with her because she gives me great motivation and support.  I really recommend Monique Forman.   You really need to work with her to see how greatly you can benefit.  She's amazing!

We originally worked with Cheryl, who was professional, experienced, and genuinely helpful throughout the planning process. When we arrived for our final food tasting, we learned she was out on leave and that Rabya and Angie would be taking over. This transition was never communicated to us. Both were consistently difficult to reach; emails and calls went unanswered for days at a time- and every request, no matter how minor, was met with a flat refusal and no alternative offered. Rabya and Angie made what should have been an exciting time genuinely stressful, and no bride or couple should have to navigate that in the final stretch of wedding planning. On the day itself, the bar was not set up on time, leaving guests standing in line for over 20 minutes. We paid for the platinum package and expected adequate staffing; instead, guests had to seek out servers themselves to get appetizers at their tables. It was understaffed and disorganized in ways that were noticeable and embarrassing. The aftermath was worse. We returned the next day to retrieve our items (wedding gifts, a wedding dress stored in a locker, and our wedding cake) and found no one available to assist. We called Rabya and Angie: no answer. We came back Monday: still no help from either of them. When we finally reached someone by email, we were told our entire wedding cake had been thrown away. Our wedding dress was being held, we were informed, only "as a courtesy" as though we should be grateful they hadn't discarded that too. Cheryl set a standard that Rabya and Angie were unable to meet on any level. The venue itself is beautiful, and that makes this review all the more disappointing to write. But I would strongly warn any couple against working with Rabya and Angie. The gap between what was promised and what was delivered on one of the most important days of our lives was significant.

I think a lot people would probably look Revision's monthly fees and believe it competes with a big…read morebox facility like Equinox in the luxury gym market. However, this assumption could not be more erroneous. Equinox is a $250 a month "luxury" gym with over 20 year old equipment, and amenities that you have to pay extra for. In my past experience, they struggled to have towels ready half the time I requested one, and the cleanliness has gone downhill over the last few years. In contrast, Revision is in a class of its own as a cutting-edge and innovative wellness center, that just so happens to have a state of the art gym. In addition, the facility is immaculate (you can practically eat off the floors), with a great layout that ensures that everything is easy to find and stays organized. The best thing about Revision is that all of its amenities (cold plunge/infrared sauna, Ceragem massage bed, cryotherapy, compression therapy, red light therapy, meditation pods, etc.), can be utilized on an unlimited basis monthly. If you go to a typical spa or wellness center and purchase 1 or 2 amenities, the costs can easily total more than Revision's fees for a single month. In other words, the membership pays for itself very quickly regardless of whether or not you choose to utilize the gym component of the center. If you do decide to use the gym, the environment is supportive and non-intimidating, and there is a variety of diverse equipment to use (pendulum squat, smith machine, free weights, and cardio equipment that blows away anything you would find at a big box store like 24 hr. Fitness, Gold's Gym, or even Equinox). In terms of atmosphere, I've been searching a long time for a gym that feels like an actual community, as opposed to a meat market embedded within a warehouse of equipment, as most gyms within the area turn out to be. Within my first week or two there, Carolyn, one of the owners, came up to me and asked "Do you have any problems, complaints, or issues. We like to address them immediately." For me, those were magic words that I rarely hear from any business owner, regardless of the industry. It's a great feeling when your input is not only valued, but actually solicited. In addition, both owners (Dusty and Carolyn) are completely on top of catering to members individual needs. For example, I asked for a trap bar and a free-motion/dual cable machine, and they made it happen without me having to engage in any follow-up, which has been non-existent in my experience at other gyms. In the past, whenever I had an issue at a different gym such as Gold's or 24 hr., I would get the passive aggressive "we'll look into it," in response to a request of mine, but of course they never did. Instead, I would literally have to nag the front desk staff or management ad nauseam about the issue, and still not have success. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that most gyms only care about the bottom line (total patrons), and don't want to hear your complaints or input because you're just another number. People want to feel like they matter and have a voice that is heard. At Revision, you have a voice and you matter.
