I've given this place the benefit of the doubt the last few times I've been here. Read my review from 2016 to see some history. I hate to talk smack on a locally-owned family business, but I am still a little incensed from my last visit there, where I had a nail in my tire, and they charged me thirty bucks to fix it (for reference, I had a small tractor tire repaired here a year or so ago, and they charged $4.00 (Thanks Perry). Most places charge $12-15 for a plug. There was a new guy there last time who I had never seen before, so I guess since he is new, he decided to charge me double to impress the bosses (I didn't say anything that day, because I am generally a mild-mannered guy, but I've been bothered ever since, especially because my check tire light keeps going off, and I had to put air in my tires three times since the repair. Also, the new guy told me after the service, that my tires were getting "feathered" or some term like that, which I'd never heard before. I asked what it meant, and he said it was probably from not rotating the tires enough (Admittedly, I have had them rotated a few times, but not too frequently). Well, I bought those tires here, and they offer free tire rotations on tires purchased here, so why didn't he offer to rotate them for me? Anyways, I think I am done with Calabro, I am tired of the poor service and high costs. Sorry Jeanine, Perry, Butch, and all the rest of the staff ... No more Cheers for you! P.S. This place is amazing! Got a flat tire on my way to Erie . Stopped at several places nobody wanted to help! Calabro went above and beyond , listened , cared , helped and got me in an out quicker then expected ! The lady at counter was knowledgeable and listened and made a great impression! The other gentleman came out looked at tire and just cared and took care of us right away! This is uncommon now a days . Never again will I go to a corporate place this family owned companies really care more and we as customers need to realize and help them more! read more

I recently purchased 4 tires and had them mounted by Calabro The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and they mounted the tires in a very short period of time with no damage to my wheels .My car is a little finicky it's a Porsche 911 I had tires mounted at another shop several years back and they could not get the tire pressure monitoring system to work and scratched a wheel etc.Calabro did everything professionally and quickly They are simply outstanding I highly recommend this family owned business read more

If I could give 100 stars I would. We were 6 hours from home when the brakes went bad. After tying a half dozen places that were either short staffed or didn't have time, we stopped here. Glad I did. They got the part in and put new brakes and rotors on our car so we could get back to Virginia. And the price was extremely reasonable. My car was taken in on a Friday at 4:45pm, during the Covid crisis, with the shop closing at 5pm for the weekend. These guys stayed to give me 4 new tires, charged less than the other tire stores, and did it with a smile, leaving an hour late. They saved my life since I was heading out of town Sunday. Worst experience ever. Took my car in for inspection. They broke my radio and caused my power steering warning light to come on. When I took it back to have things fixed, they did nothing to fix the light or radio and told me it wasn't their responsibility. I even heard the manager laughing at me as I left. Even though they caused the issues, they refused to fix anything. What a scam. Use caution with this hack of a station. So a manager did follow up, but just continued the run around. Even though I clearly explained and proved the problems were caused inside their shop they declined any and all responsibility. It's a shame they didn't just take responsibility for their actions. If you choose to use this place you better hope nothing goes wrong. They are certainly more than willing to take your money, but in my case weren't willing to stand behind their work. read more

Removed parts instead of repairing per my request without asking my preference. Having been under the car myself before hand to identify the problem i knew what was needed and current condition. Afterwards when I spoke to the mechanic and the service manager working with me, their explanations didn't match. Wouldn't provide paper work of the work completed and told me not to worry about it get out. Leaving me with the feeling that the "unneeded part" is probably something I should have and they didn't want to be liable for removing it or provide any documentation of it being done at their establishment. read more

I called yesterday about a nail in my tire, they said I could bring my car in anytime and I didn't need an appointment. They were so friendly. Found nails in 2 tires and had be patched up and back on the road in under an hour and it was only about $60. Clean facility, comfortable waiting area and very friendly staff. read more

I've had some bad experiences with the cheap-franchise establishments, and some that were downright dangerous (looking at YOU, Mr T). The best of the best in Southwestern PA. Tires prices are spot on with the big internet tire monsters, and their customer service is on a whole different level. They got me the tires I wanted SAME DAY at the same price of a place who's name rhymes with "wire shack". I asked when I should make and appointment - they said they'd call when they arrived. They did, and I again asked about an appointment. "Just get here when you can". I rolled in an hour later - they had me re-shoed in under 30 minutes and out the door, which included time with the mechanic who did them and took the time to point out any signs of strange wear. There were none, but that's "just policy". In the age of eBay, sometimes Main Street still has a better answer. read more

I moved to the Pittsburgh area in 2005 and I went to two other auto shops before I found Calabro. My husband and I have been so pleased with them. There are three namesake siblings, Jack, Janine and Perry who work there, as well as Butch. Any one that has helped us has always been kind, patient and honest. Also, the mechanics also explain whatever work has to be done and I find them easy to talk to as well. I feel very comfortable taking my cars there, knowing the sales staff and the mechanics will speak plainly and openly at all times. And the times have been many. With a nine year old Nissan Murano and a two year old Chevy Malibu, I have had my share of visits, and if they could help they did so quickly and efficiently. If they couldn't, there were never any hard feelings or animosity. Just helpful suggestions. And that has kept me coming back. I take my two boys, ages 4 and 7 with me and they love it there too. Calabro Tire is the place to go with your car problems. I had a mystery with one of my vehicles, and the guys at Calabro were able to bring it back to gas-sipping, quiet running life. They identified my problems, gave me a tune up and re-timed my engine for me too. The service was great too. I scheduled when I wanted to drop off my car online, and had it towed to the site over night. Then, I was able to take the bus to a stop right down the street to pick it up in a few days. They bent over backwards to fit me into the schedule, and were flexible about when I could get there and have work done.
