I wish every business in Pittsburgh was run this well. They are super honest, fair, and they always go above and beyond to help.

Super honest, I trust them implicitly, and they respect my old Subaru, and it's little quirks. They always steer me right!

They did a great job on our truck. They got us in and out much faster than we expected. $2,000 less than pep-boys

I will note however Jim and Pals are pretty high in demand and the waiting list can be high at times.

TL:DR: Go here! Excellent service, great communication, and fair pricing. Everything one looks for…read morein a service shop when having an issue with their car. I have had a few opportunities to use Midas since moving to Bridgeville/Oakdale, as my cars are fairly reliable. In this case, they were doing a vehicle inspection and code diagnosis on a low-milage but almost 10 year old car. This Midas performed the inspection, provided clear text message updates (with photos) of what they were seeing. I received this 15 - 20 mins before a call from the service manager who went over the findings with me. The car had a specific computer issue but had shown up as an emergency light. They easily could have recommended an expensive (and unnecessary service). Instead, I had an almost 10 min call with the service manager who explained the issue, noted the existence of an extended service warranty and recommended that the work be done at the dealership due to the software/hardware issue. This is not a one-of approach to business. They have done previous work and clearly discuss what is needed/required for safety and what is optional but recommended and why. This level of communication is so helpful in making informed decisions on cars. I really appreciated the honest communication and will be bringing both my vehicles here for maintenance as a result.

I hate to talk smack on a locally-owned family business, but I am still a little incensed from my last visit there, where I had a nail in my tire, and they charged me thirty bucks to fix it (for reference, I had a small tractor tire repaired here a year or so ago, and they charged $4.00 (Thanks Perry). Most places charge $12-15 for a plug. There was a new guy there last time who I had never seen before, so I guess since he is new, he decided to charge me double to impress the bosses (I didn't say anything that day, because I am generally a mild-mannered guy, but I've been bothered ever since, especially because my check tire light keeps going off, and I had to put air in my tires three times since the repair. Also, the new guy told me after the service, that my tires were getting "feathered" or some term like that, which I'd never heard before. I asked what it meant, and he said it was probably from not rotating the tires enough (Admittedly, I have had them rotated a few times, but not too frequently). Well, I bought those tires here, and they offer free tire rotations on tires purchased here, so why didn't he offer to rotate them for me? Anyways, I think I am done with Calabro, I am tired of the poor service and high costs. Sorry Jeanine, Perry, Butch, and all the rest of the staff ... No more Cheers for you! P.S. I just remembered, my wife's car had a slow leak also, from the last time it was repaired at Calabro. She took it some place near where she works, and it was plugged for ten bucks!
