    Octopus salad
    Stephanie M.

Hollywood Farmers Market Purchase I'm an octopus lover, and this is the most Amazing octopus salad I've had thus by far! The seasonings compliment each other and are paired very well. Yes , $18 is a little too much for me, HOWEVER, I'm glad I was able to support small Business and try them out. Definitely worth $18! This is perfect for a home wine date, some candles burning and this immaculate delicious octopus salad night with my hubby! Love it!

Tonight's menu! Octopus for me please!!

Another great meal. Honestly can't go wrong with anything at this stand. Tonight we ordered 2 pork skewers, 2 jidori chicken skewers, 2 octopus skewers, side of sweet potato and potato salad. The meats are awesome and from order to mouth is prob only 10 minutes. The octopus had a little olive tapenade on it which gave the mollusk a briny finish. The pork and chicken are both so good they were gone in no time. The sweet potato was a huge hit with the 3 of us. It was served open-faced with a pistachio pesto. Rich creamy mouthfuls of sweetness partnered perfectly with the nutty bright tastebud dance partner. The potato salad is my go to it's so darn good. Light but packed with flavor. The staff is always warm and remembers you even after it's been a few weeks. Top notch place!! They take Apple Pay!

Pretty much everything on their menu except for chicken and pork dishes. Delicious!!! Best food out there. (Kombucha is from another vendor)

My 10 year old son loved this place. We got the octopus, pork and veggie skewers. They were delicious. We are definitely going back.

For around $10, you're getting a burrito that's practically the size of your face and packed with flavor. The carne asada is the star of the show. It has an amazing char, is perfectly seasoned and tastes fresh every single time. The atmosphere is great too. Good music, friendly staff, and a hardworking crew that always seems to have a smile on their faces. They have a self serve toppings bar with plenty of options, and while some people may be hesitant about that at a taco stand, everything is always clean and well maintained. I've eaten here many times and have never had an issue. The sauces are absolutely fire. The guacamole sauce, spicy green salsa and red hot sauce all bring something different to the table. Nothing tastes old or like it's been sitting around. Everything tastes fresh and is made with care. This has become our go to spot. We've tried a lot of taco stands and food trucks throughout Los Angeles, and honestly, nothing else has come close.

You could see the freshness of al pastor on their vertical rotating grill and the meat seemed leaner as well. They cut a new batch of al pastor and then they chop it to smaller pieces than you're normally used to seeing and somehow, those smaller pieces preserved all the delicious meat juice inside. The al pastor was very tender, juicy, well-marinated and had the sweet and savory notes in a perfect balance and the guys adding some fresh, ripe pineapple on top was a nice touch! I got served my burrito open-faced, I added the salsa, pickled onion and chopped fresh onions and then sent it back to the crew for the final wrapping. Just a great, tasty burrito that absorbed really well. The quality could really be seen and felt and the $10 price tag was unbeatable. The customer service was very friendly and there is plenty of parking right behind the taco stand on the CVS plaza. Will definitely come again!

The shrimp was plump and flavorful. What amped up the flavor was the salsa on top which was super flavorful and fresh and not too salty for me. I also liked the creamy avocado on top. Everything held together well and it wasn't too messy to eat. I would keep coming back here for these alone. This is a food truck, but they actually have a designated indoor seating with ample tables and chairs and even bathrooms! Parking is street parking. I would highly recommend this spot among LA's best tacos spots.

Mariscos Jaliscos is a simple, humble and easy going food truck that easily beats any sit in boujee restaurant. Their menu is simple and easy to understand. Mariscos Jalisco is best known for their Fried shrimp tacos however, they have one of the best aguachiles I've tasted hands down. Their shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing with the right crunchiness and soft fried shrimp inside. The sauce that comes with these tacos are jam packed with flavor adding to the overall flavors/texture of the shrimp taco. Hurts to say it but this might be my new favorite shrimp taco in ELA/Boyle Heights area. The service here is quick and friendly. I went on a Friday afternoon and did not find busy crowds at this food truck. Street parking is available and the times that i've visited other food trucks nearby i was able to find quick parking. Its a busy street so you will find people coming in and out of parking spots most of the time. I enjoyed my experience here at Mariscos Jalisco and will be coming back very soon. The place is Alejandra's, and the creation is some of the best quesadillas you can get in LA. Coming up to the stand, you eye the menu and make your order, $8 dollars each or $10 for a dual topping type. There is potentially a bit of a wait due to every meal being freshly made on order, but it is a good and worthwhile wait, the staff, clientele, and food being most hospitable. At your order, purple dough is flattened to a blue corn tortilla, each tortilla freshly pressed and grilled in front of you. You watch it sizzle and rise brown, flip over, and continue its cycle to grow crisp. Topping highlights for me include squash blossoms and pork, which is chicharrones with a surprising crisp and crunch better than almost any other I've had, the ring of each bite echoing autumn leaves crunching under my feet, its condensed jerky flavour hemorrhaging in the still present sweetness of a meat once juicy. The stand provides a salsa bar with red and green sauces available, and other vegatative essentials- onion, cilantro, and pepper- serve as a lush and fresh forestry for the surprisingly substantial spice of the salsa to lick upon; piled upon the mountain of food and flavour, the green and red splatters evoked the Hollywood Hills, the red salsa smokey and particularly burning like the fires of last year. It's an addicting taste well worth the visit and short walk to sit and enjoy the meal in Echo Park. I'm excited to come back and try more ingredients for sure, very likely two or three quesadillas at a time to help expedite the process, as it can't be helped. 6.4/10
