    Goat duo $8
    Arshad H.

I saw this taco stand at Smorgasburg with no line and was intrigued by the name. All the tacos they prepare at the stand are goat based. Initially I thought the tacos were pricey but my mind changed after trying them. Goat duo ($8) - I didn't realize they had a trio option, otherwise I would have wanted to try their 3rd taco (diablito). The 2 tacos that came with my order, birria and cabrito were incredible in terms of taste and are served on corn tortillas. Each was so flavorful and tender. Overall I was impressed with the tacos here and would definitely order from here again if I was in the area. I'm really surprised they didn't have a line, because these are some of the better tasting tacos out there.

We were at smorgasburg and found this food booth. We tried the taco trio for $15 since we wanted to try once of each taco. Fish taco 5/5 Birria taco 5/5 Plantain taco 5/5 All tacos were delicious and eating up super fast! One of top 3 spots at the food event. Recommend to give this place a try!

The goat mafia! Located inside the smorgasbord on Sundays in dtla. I went on the goat tour for $17. The quesadillas here are incredible! Love the sauce it came with! The birria tacos were great and filling. Food cooked fresh so takes a little but worth wait.

Tried them at Smorgasburg and I have to say, it was very good. But in my opinion, a bit overpriced. $5 for a taco.. Jeez! It'd be one thing if their taco is out of this world, outrageously good but if it's only slightly better than a $2 taco from so many of the other taquerias in LA.. Glad I tried it but not exactly going to be running back each time I come across their stall.

One birria and one carne asada taco

These guys were at Rosemallows a couple weeks ago - I'm a huge fan of the drinks there, so whenever I see a particularly interesting-looking vendor, it's a great excuse to drop by! I obviously can't speak to any other setup than the one they had at Rosemallows, but I'd *absolutely* come back anytime they were there! For one thing, pretty unheard of for tacos this good, there was literally no wait - they had their stand set up right outside, so rather than having to go through a waiter, you paid them directly and had tacos almost instantly. Actually, the first order took about 2 minutes, the second one actually was basically instant. (Though they said sometimes they can get swamped, if it's too busy - I was there relatively early. Still, they clearly knew what they were doing.) Secondly... the tacos. When I was there, they had asada and birria, so I clearly had to try one of each (they're $3, but they're pretty big, and I'm a sucker for fresh tortillas). The asada, I could tell used high quality meat, but apart from the tortillas (which were legit), it wasn't particularly *special* - I wouldn't bother with those again. The birria, though, was like... life-changingly good. The meat is so tender, it basically melts when you bite into it, the sauce is bursting with flavor, the perfect amount of spice, great pickled peppers and onions, and *surprisingly* cheesy. After eating the first two tacos, I immediately ordered a third one (birria, obviously), then had to take one home with me! (Why not - when I could order and get food faster from them than from a McDonalds? :D) Hope they make it back to Long Beach again soon!

I heard about this from a LA Harbor College promo vid. It looked really cool so I had to try it out myself. AMBIANCE: Ambiance may change as they're currently a vendor I went to their booth on a Smorgasburg LA Sunday. The vibes of Smorgasburg are a city vibe - LA traffic, structure (free for 2 hours) or street parking, a whole bunch of people and a balance between these LA bourgie shops and local grit and grind produce markets. Plenty of vendors, blended with the street scent and foods. FOOD: Got the Taco Trio and twas a triple threat: Birria Quesataco (Recommend) Well marinated birria with a savory crispy from the cheese. With little blessings of chiles and other spices. Chivadilla (Recommend) This made me a fan of beets. A beauty of what goat cheese can do with beets. A good balance of sweet and delicious. Hog-Lisco (Recommend) Oooi! What a treat! Delicious meat with a good kick of their mango habanero sauce. Add some chicharron to that and it activates more savory flavors with a mild crunch to it. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Met Juan Garcia and the team. Down to Earth and professional people. I appreciate them. TL; DR OVERALL: 5 Stars! Whoa! Essence of comfort flavors with subtle twists to it that makes it your not so everyday tia's tacos. I know there are a million taco places in LA but for something different you have to try them out. Definitely coming back for more! Tips: * They are a catering business thus they move around. Follow them on social media! * https://www.lataco.com/inside-the-revolutionary-recipes-of-compton-goat-mafia/

Birria queso taco (no cheese on my order)

Delicious goat birria taco. After learing about TGM on Roy Choi's Broken Bread tv series, wifey and I dashed out to Smorgasburg. Luckily it was on a Sunday. The meat is super tender and very flavorful. The cosume sauce is already poured onto the taco. Fresh hand made tortilla is made on premise so you can taste that unique hamd made masa. Also taco has a generous portion of birria. $4 per Birria taco is bit more than the average taco but the quality meat, flavor and generous portion justify the pricing for me. Taco is not deep fried compared to the usual birria taco style but not a deal breaker. Still very tasty. Definitely will be back. Thanks for the delish tacos TGM.

If you are a fan of goat, lamp or mutton don't pass up ok this place. The meat is fatty and very tender. Lots or protein in each taco. The other item I ordered looks like a quesodilla (i can't remember what it was called). It was sweet to my surprise and I believe to be filled with goat cheese.

    Birria tacos - so good!

Stopped by their stand at smorgasbord and got some amazing free range goat tacos. We came a little late while they were wrapping up but the grill was still hot so they were still able to serve us - and even insisting on giving us the tacos free of charge. Amazing food, amazing service, can't wait to come back l!

I loved #GoatMafiaGrill ... they catered my little nephew's birthday party in Perris and my entire family fell in love with the food. The service was great, and we got to keep a lot of the extra meat that was left over and we had seconds the next morning! QUALITY FOOD!!! #TacoCateringInCompton #DeliciousTacos

The best birria in Los Angeles County. This food truck has tacos de birria and de puerco. Also just the birria plate. The torta de lomo is to die for. I recommend this food truck to everyone. Follow them on Facebook. The Mafia Food Truck

As a Korean, I can tell you this is the real deal--it's so freaking delicious and exactly the type of food I grew up with. A few things to know before you order: No Storefront: This is a catering-only business, so there is no physical restaurant to visit. You just call them to place your order. The Right Number: Make sure you call the correct number! Their main lines are (323) 466-3737 or (323) 799-7909. Customizable Menus: While they have menu photos online that act as a guide, you can pick and choose exactly what you want. We ordered the Kalbi Jjim, various veggies, pancakes, and kimchi, and every single dish was a hit. Massive Portions: They are incredibly generous! We ordered for 10 people, but they gave us enough food to feed 40. You definitely get your money's worth. Easy Pickup: The process is super smooth. You just pull up to the street on Beverly Blvd, and they will load everything directly into your car for you. Pro Tip: Ask about getting a discount ;) Also when you arrive to pick up, give them a 15 minute window to assemble your order. They have a delivery option too. I will definitely be using them again for my next event!

We had so many guests come up to us during and after the wedding (even months later) saying the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding. Everything from the passed apps to the mains, desserts, and late night food was amazing. Food is a huge priority for us, and we wanted to make damn sure that our wedding food delivered, especially since so many of our friends and family know us as major foodies. We loved Hungry Bear's asian-fusion menu and even the salad was unreal (and I'm not a salad girl...get the Little Gem Salad y'all - it's both beautiful and delicious). We had opted for family style and had hangar steak and miso black cod for the mains (but seriously, you cannot go wrong with any of their choices) and a late night pho station. I'm salivating just reminiscing about the food. The drinks were just as good (feel free to reach out to the team with your favorite flavors/ spirit to brainstorm drink ideas or even give them a specific recipe). I opted for a yuzu gin cocktail as my signature drink, which was delightfully refreshing and very well made. On top of that, the service was next-level. The waiters and bartenders were all very kind, funny, and professional. The team made sure my husband and I were constantly taken care of--full water glasses, plates of food, cocktails, everything. One of my best friend has celiac disease, and a staff member came up and told her she was personally "in charge of her" for the night. She was blown away. I was blown away -- especially since we had our wedding at a "bring your everything" venue where everything was brought in to build a "kitchen" - Hungry Bear made sure that food safety/ cross-contamination was a non-issue. Amazing food, amazing drinks, and genuinely kind, fun, and professional servers and bartenders. Jennie, TJ, and the Hungry Bear team truly go above and beyond. We're already asking ourselves when we can have Hungry Bear cater our next event. Look no further and book your tasting today (trust me, and good luck narrowing down the tasting selections)! Highly, highly recommend.

OMG... as I'm writing this, I'm still craving the food we had that day from Chubby Fingers! After doing multiple tastings with other caterers, we chose them for their generous portions and amazing value at a very competitive price point. Why we chose them: Before choosing them, we actually met with several other caterers and even did tastings to compare our options. What really stood out about Chubby Fingers was how generous and abundant their offerings were at a very similar price point. The value honestly surprised us in the best way. The Experience (Catering Drop-off): We ended up doing a catering drop-off, and even with that setup, you could truly feel the care and thought they put into everything.
