The best poke spot I have tried so far that comes close to authentic poke. The portion is filling and worth the money. The fish is fresh and pairs well with the flower wonton chips and crab/seaweed salad. The marinades on the poke are yummy as well. I got full pretty fast and still had a ton left over. I ordered takeout and I wish I was closer but I am now recommending everyone to come by. read more

I highly recommend this place! It's hard to find good Hawaiian style Poke. This place satisfies my craving for poke every time, hands down. Good quality fish, and I really like all their side toppings. Imitation crab salad, seaweed salad, sunomono--all solid! Their rice is also cooked perfect, and marinades are consistent every time. Spice level on the spicy mayo salmon is good. My only two gripes: Firstly, I wish they had more options outside of just salmon and tuna (ex: tako, yellowtail). However, I'd rather a place nail every limited option they have, rather than be mediocre with a wider selection. Secondly, I find it odd is their shoyu tuna is a bit spicy even though shoyu isn't traditionally spicy; they sprinkle a red powder on it. On DoorDash, you can't ask them to withhold the spice powder. I'm fine with spice--but be aware if you are not. read more

Soo this place is not a food court. I thought it was and was excited to see different places. Its actually a ghost kitchen.. there is no place to eat at. You order from a kiosk and wait for a text saying your food is ready, then pick it up form the counter. This place has alot of ubereats, doordashers, etc come here to pick the food up from the lockers theb deliver it. Ill give this plave a 3.5 because theres no description of what they put in their food. I loved the crab salad, it has alot of mayo. The cu cai salad was raddish with sesame sauce. It was refreshing. For this fish, i got nuc mam and honey wasabi because they dont have these at usual poke places. The nuc mam has peanuts in it. This one is a hit or miss. I was fine with it since it was different. The honey wasabi was really good until about the 5th piece. The taste kinda got boring and it ended up being tooo saucy. The wonton chips it comes with was amazing. I was worried there wouldnt be any because it said it was sold out. I wasnt sure what volcano was as it just said volcano but if i do come again ill probably try that one. I didnt get a picture of their menu items and i felt like someone was waiting to use it. Theres a decent amoutn of parking since most come and go since there is no dining area. read more

Loved this poke! It was super fresh and flavorful! I got the tuna with the spicy mayo and the cucumber salad and imitation crab salad. Both salads were super unique and different. The cucumber salad had long thin slices and a good crunch while the imitation crab was thin shreds packed with a delicious mayo- y flavor. My friend and I did not realize it was a ghost kitchen and the outside said Goop Kitchen. I do wish this quality of poke was backed by a restaurant where you can sit inside and enjoy the food and can ask questions etc. There is some 15 min parking out front and a small lot in back. We ordered inside on a screen and it was ready quickly in 10 min! Excited to add it to my list and try other flavors! Loved it!!! read more

A pretty solid poke spot! I got their nuc mam and honey wasabi sauce with tuna. I liked their honey wasabi sauce but I felt like it didn't have that true wasabi kick to it. I did like the flavor profile of it though! The nuc nam sauce was a bit more plain and I felt like they needed to add more sauce. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh. I would go back to try their other sauces! It's a ghost kitchen type situation so you have to order online. The wait time is kind of weird. It estimated 15 minutes for pick up and I got a text that my food was ready but I ended up having to wait an additional 20 minutes which is kinda lame. Parking is a bit challenging but theres residential streets nearby. read more

Nuc Poke or NUKE POKE?? THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB. Was near LA area and this place was perfect for delivery. Very convenient and the packaging was great. Came in a bag with both chopsticks and forks and napkins. I heard the chef is an ex-Tao restaurant chef who decided to do a modern elevated twist on poke mixing Hawaiian and Vietnamese flavors. The fish is super high quality and fresh. It is also mixed with the sauce and marinated to order! No more gummy rubbery poke. Super tender, solid, fresh fish texture with the crunch of peanuts crests a great contrast in textures. I tried the volcano sauce which was garlicky, a bit spicy and really flavorful. Paired with the Furikaka rice was an awesome combo. I also tried the honey wasabi salmon. Sweet, spicy, fragrant, and creamy. This creamy texture and crunchy peanuts made for a great mouth sensation haha. The wasabi honey was a really good pairing as well. The dish plating was also great. Super fancy and pretty. My eyes were definitely fed before my belly haha got me salivating. It is a ghost kitchen for now but I heard the chef is looking to expand to a brick and mortar! Can't wait!! This place was really hard to find. I thought it was a restaurant but it's really just a place where you pick up multiple orders like for Doordash. there should be clearer signs that lists where the restaurant is. The food itself was okay too. The tuna and salmon definitely needs more sauce. I got the soy sauce and nuoc mam flavors and felt like i needed more. The rice was the perfect texture though. I wish the portions for the seaweed salad and crab salad were bigger because those were both amazing! overall, i would try other places before trying this one. read more

I ordered off of ubereats. I enjoyed the flavor of the fish sauce. The rice is sticky sushi rice with seasoning on top. There are two crackers that come with it, I wish there were more. I got the crab salad and cucumber. read more

One of the best poke spots in Los Angeles by a mile, and it tasted like I was back in Oahu. Food (5/5): I ordered a large bowl: Salmon with Lava Sauce, Tuna with Shoyu Sauce, Imitation Crab Salad, and Sunomono Salad. Both fish were very fresh. The imitation crab salad was one of the best surprises. Usually most poke places have that scoop of imitation crab like a ball of ice cream, but this one hit different with the masago on top. Service (1/5): This is a ghost kitchen. While I don't mind ordering on a tablet at all, this tablet in particular was slow. You can also only add tips in increments of 15%, 18%, and 20% without an option for a custom tip. Also, enter on the parking lot side, because if you order from the street side, you will need to pick it up from the parking lot side anyways. There aren't any clear directions indicating this Ambiance (1/5): Doesn't really matter since it's a ghost kitchen. The food itself makes up for the logistically comical ordering system. Would definitely pick-up poke from here again. read more

Unique viet fusion poke! I've ordered a couple times and enjoyed the food. The fish felt fresh and had unique viet marinades. The marinade is light but feels balanced. Noting that this place is a ghost kitchen! There is no seating, you can only do takeout - I recommend ordering through doordash or ubereats. The vibes there were weird when I picked up. Hope one day they can have their own storefront instead. read more

This place is soooooo good I ordered from here twice in 3 days LOL. I love that you can add nuoc mam as a sauce, and it tastes reaaaally good with tuna. I've been here several times and keep coming back for the honey wasabi poke. The flavor is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, and it pairs really well with the fresh fish. Thought this would be closer to Hawaiian poke where the fish is marinaded in sauces for hours. That could be true but the end result is nowhere close to the same. Was also excited at the prospect that this has Vietnamese influences. I love Viet food. This place tries but execution is poor. Bottom line, fish was not fresh nor at a quality that matches other poke places. The flavors were one dimensional and lacking despite bombastic descriptions on their menu. Crab salad side was the best thing of my meal. Looks great in a photo but possibly the worst poke I've had. Such a let down. read more

As a Viet girly, I knew I had to try the nuoc mam sauce with my poke as this was so unique. I loved it! The flavor was amazing and at first I was worried about it tasting too much like fish sauce and not pairing well, but the flavors matched together perfectly. I really liked the onions with it too. I also got the tuna with shoyu sauce and this was yummy as well. The cucumber salad was a perfect side and I especially loved the dressing it came with. I also really liked that it came with wonton chips! Definitely coming back to get the nuoc mam poke and try more things!! read more

I'm usually not a fan of overly-sauced poke, so I was a bit hesitant to try this spot. I decided to give it a try anyway, and I'm quite impressed with how well-balanced all the flavors were. First off, the serving sizes are very generous. I decided to try the Honey Wasabi Salmon and the Volcano Tuna. The salmon was great as the honey provided a slight sweetness to each bite and the wasabi flavor wasn't too overpowering, which I very much enjoyed. The Volcano Tuna was also a great choice, packing a pleasant kick of heat. I also liked the addition of the crispy wonton chips included. They added a much needed crunch that complimented the poke. I would highly recommend ordering an extra side of them. When you combine everything, it creates a perfectly well-balanced meal in both flavor and texture. One of the worst poke places I've ever tried. My plate was drenched with sauce, where the whole bottom layer was filled with liquid. The rice, already soggy, soaked it up making it basically porridge. Also, note that this place is a ghost kitchen and you have to park and order from the back of the building. There's no sign that states this "restaurant", but you'll know you're at the right place if it says "Goop Kitchen". read more

One of the freshest poke spots I've tried!!!! I got the 1/2 lb nuoc mam poke and I loved how they incorporated Vietnamese fusion flavors into the poke!! Strange and unexpected experience, but delicious and fresh food. This is like a "ghost kitchen" type of place where multiple cuisines or "restaurants" are picked up from in lockers with a code on your phone. When I paid with Apple Pay on my phone, without realizing, I didn't scroll down the page far enough to adjust the automatic tip that was applied. I just wonder what the tip was for?? I had 0 engagement with any humans. Very strange. But... the food was really good. Everything was fresh and delicious, and there was a generous portion of fish. Really great poke -- simple, fresh, quality, hawaiian style-- is hard to come by out here. This place nails it. I got the Nuc nom tuna with cucumber salad and seaweed salad. Everything was so yummy. They also included a cute tiny heart-shaped Rice Krispie with my order which was a cute touch. I absolutely will order from here again. read more

Fresh and delicious Vietnamese fusion style poke! I especially love their honey wasabi sauce that went really well on the salmon. Their tuna was so fresh, and not chewy or stringy at all. I love the Japanese sushi style rice. Their Japanese Mont Blanc cakes for dessert were delicious, especially the black sesame one. read more

I ordered for pickup through DoorDash and went to the place at the listed time. When I got there, the order said it was 'delayed' and I had to wait an extra 20 minutes to even pick up the food. I don't understand how a pickup order of poke gets delayed for that long, and it put a bad taste in my mouth. However, the food was really tasty, especially the honey wasabi salmon. read more

This is Hawaiian-Viet fusion done right! Excellent quality and delicious sauces. We had family in town and decided to order a few 1lb portions to share. Everyone went back for seconds and even thirds for some! Honey Wasabi & Nuc Mam were my favorites but we were very happy with all of them. The chip was a nice add. This is THE spot! My husband and I ordered a little bit of everything to try: Salmon Honey Wasabi (his favorite because the wasabi wasn't overpowering and was a good balance of flavor), Tuna Shoyu (my favorite fish because it was a good burst of flavor/soy saucy), Tuna Volcano (spicy with a hint of siracha), Imitation crab salad (my favorite side, I can eat a whole tub of this!! So addicting and smooth. It tastes exactly like how it looks/what you're imagining), Crispy Cu Cai Salad & Cucumber Salad (refreshing and added texture to the meal), Rice (must order, I was going to cook my own rice at home but sushi rice just hits different) and Wonton chips. Overall I liked the texture of everything! I did delivery (about 20mins from my house) and everything was still fresh and not fishy at all. Food: This was my first time eating a dish that contained raw fish. Dishes like that haven't crossed my mind before, so before trying out Nuc Poke, I didn't have high expectations. However, once I took my first bite, I was blown away by the combination of flavors that I was experiencing. The first bite of the salmon with honey wasabi was incredible. It was a great combination of sweet without being overpowered by the wasabi. My favorite part was definitely when I stacked the salmon, salad, and rice onto one of the wonton crackers. All the flavors blended and complimented each other perfectly. The second bowl was had with seaweed salad and shoyu sauce on the salmon. The shoyu sauce was also highly enjoyable. It added what I can only describe as a slightly sweet flavor which paired great with the seaweed and cucumbers. The cucumbers added a nice little crunch into each bite. As with the first bowl, I also highly recommend eating the items on top of the wonton crackers for a fun and tasty experience. For my drink, I went with an order of coconut water that gave a refreshing taste in between each bite. Service: Don't let the idea of a "ghost kitchen" shy you away from ordering from this location. The food is clearly made with great care and an eye for detail. Upon opening the box, the food already captures your attention with its presentable appearance. Overall, the dishes are well worth it, and I definitely see myself ordering from here again. I hope you give this place a try next time you are looking for a place to eat. read more

Wow! This place is new and unique and very delicious. It is not your typical pokey store. Their volcano mix is served with tuna and a kick of a special spicy sauce. For around $18, the meal came with two eggs and what I can only describe as rubbery pork. While the eggs were decent, the meat was a huge letdown. It had an off-putting texture that made me question whether it was an older or inferior cut. The taste was overwhelmingly salty--more like salted pork than the sweet, rich flavor I was expecting from caramelized pork. To top it off, I spent over $40 something dollars for my meal and for Postmates delivery to the South Bay, which makes this disappointment even harder to swallow. I'm not sure I'd order from Be U again unless someone else is footing the bill. I really wanted to enjoy this meal, but sadly, it fell short of my expectations. If you're craving Vietnamese food, you might want to explore other options.

The service was amazing -- our rolls and other food items came out quickly, the waitress was friendly, they were attentive making sure to give us more ginger when they saw we were running low even without asking. The place was super cute inside and had a nice dinner spot feel to it. We also got a lot of food for a pretty reasonable price, we got several rolls, ramen, appetizers, etc and it was around $150 dollars for 5 people. Would definitely come again and wish it was closer!

The one I really wanted to try was the sukiyaki, but unfortunately, it was sold out. They also have a few small tables outside, which is nice if you want to sit and eat. Now Sogo took the top place for my favorite! Stopped by Friday for lunch and it was pretty calm so I was able to chat more with the friendly staff. I started off with some Naguryama "Crane Castle" sake in a carafe and it was delicious. One of the best sake I've ever had and this place has a fantastic array of sake available! For food I went with the baked crab crispy rice first and this was amazing. The only place I've found doing a "crab" crispy rice and it was spot on. The rice was so crispy without being oily or chewy. Then I went with the six roll set (subbing the spicy tuna with a toro scallion) and although each roll was absolutely wonderful, my top three would have to be the toro, albacore kari kari, and crab. Each roll has a great amount of warm rice that is so fluffy and flavored well without overpowering the fish. The fish isn't cold either so there isn't a drastic temperature change. My ONLY complaint is that one or two of the rolls had seaweed that instantly got soft and chewy so it was hard to bite through. I'm not sure if these pieces of seaweed were left open when they were about to be used? Did they get moisture? It didn't ruin my experience but I definitely noticed it. BUT I will say what I appreciated is the small strip of seaweed that is tucked on the bottom to keep all the filling in the handroll and not spill out as you bite! I added a salmon, unagi, and lobster hand rolls as well to really get a good sense of the menu. The salmon itself was good but I think the sauce they used (maybe a yuzu based?) was a bit too much and overpowered it. The lobster and unagie however were perfect! The unagi was warm, crispy, buttery while the lobster was rich and delicious. Absolutely great lunch and a place that I am happy to return to.
