He advised us to complete painting and touch up before the final light sanding and finishing coats were applied. When done and ready, we called Wally to schedule the completion. At first, he did call back but was tied up elsewhere. Eventually, he stopped returning calls and texts. We had to use another phone since he was not responding to my husband's phone(blocked?). Having finally reached him in January, he said he was too busy to call back in July or get another company, but offered no referral. We tried both. I got estimates between $18K and $8K. No one was willing to take on a job started elsewhere, with most of the work done. Wally did a good job installing and staining about 1500 sq ft of wood floor. I rated him based on reliability and not having the common courtesy of returning business calls.

They were fast at first, but once the cleanup ended, the "reconstruction" phase became a nightmare. The Trap: They demanded a 70% deposit before they would even give me a quote, a timeline, or a walkthrough. The Fees: When I refused to pay for an invisible plan, they charged me massive cancellation feejust to walk away. The contract signed during the mitigation process gives them the ability to conduct your reconstruction on their timeline. The Threats: They claimed they could sue me for "lost profits" because I wouldn't agree to their unreasonable terms. They are great at the emergency part, but they use predatory contracts to lock you into expensive repairs. Get everything in writing before you sign a single page with this company.
