I mean yes l understand that there other kids but he told me that even if he was the only one raising his hand she would not choose him and wait till another student raise their hand, then she would choose them! Not my son who raised his hand for like 2 minutes. Also, here they switch and my sons LA, l believe it was Ms.Fox and she would not call him! The teachers are kind and very knowledgeable about what it takes to help students learn to the best of their ability. I saw students paying attention and actually LEARNING! I think it was the way the teachers kept their students' interests and the level of engagement in the classroom. I am particularly impressed with the friendliness of the staff- they are very approachable and I think that is important in a school community. I am excited to have found this school. ALSO I want to emphasize how much I love that this is a public charter school. Their curriculum is slightly different than a "traditional" public school. The teachers are given freedom to teach in more creative ways (I think that why the kids seemed more involved) - I looked at a great number of schools, but this one really impressed me. The teachers are also not very good at their jobs. They can be rude and dismissive which makes kids feel like they do not care. Kids need teachers who're patient kind and want to help them learn but that is not what they get at this school. The whole school has a feeling to it. Kids and parents have said that they do not feel supported and that people are often mean to each other. School should be a place where kids feel happy and excited to learn. That is not what happens at this school. Because of all these problems parents should think carefully before sending their kids to this school. It could be really bad for kids to go to a school that's so stressful and negative. There are other schools that are much better where kids can feel safe and supported and that is where they will do their best. In the end this school is not a place for kids to learn. The mean principal, the teachers and the bad atmosphere make it a place that kids will not thrive in. Your child deserves a better school.
