This is a great place to stay in Porto. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is due to the almost non existent wifi - we stayed 3 days and no wifi for 2 days. If you don't care about wifi then it's 5 stars (and hopefully this is something they will remedy).
Anyway, we had a room on the top floor (#7), with nice views. Room is clean and comfortable, spacious with a seating area (on lower floors you get a balcony but top floor is walled in). No fridge or electric kettle in room, however one floor down there is a shared kettle and tea bags.
Good breakfast with tasty pastries (best croissants!) and good quality cold cuts, and soft boiled eggs (in our two weeks in Portugal this is the only hotel that had soft boiled eggs!)
Staff is friendly and helpful - I messaged with questions and they always answered promptly. They also give you an overview of sights when you arrive.
Location is convenient, can walk to anywhere and there are a couple of small grocery stores a block or two away. 10-15 min walk from train station on cobble stoned shopping street Flores).
Building is secure with keypad entry for guests.
Note that there are no elevators and with high ceilings the top floor is a bit of climb up. Then again the whole city of Porto is hilly so climbing is unavoidable here. And if facing the front higher floor is less noisy in the evenings - there are bands playing nearby usually till 10 pm. read more
