House special banh mi, house special pho, shrimp spring rolls and Vietnamese iced coffee
    Katelyn F.

Ordering was quick and easy. Our meals were absolutely delicious! The banh mi bread was perfectly crusty and everything inside of it was fresh and tasty. My husband was very happy with his pho. The spring rolls were some of the best I've had anywhere - they are a must order.

Beef Stir Fry & Beef Brisket Pho

Delicious beef pho and stir fry, great flavor and proportions! Will definitely be back.

I was a little under the weather, and was really looking forward to some nice hot soup. For some reason I started looking up Vietnamese restaurants on yelp because I really wanted good pho. This place popped up as having good reviews. I went there today and I can tell you this place is pretty remarkable. It is in a strip mall, but the restaurant is nice and clean with plenty of sitting areas. There are multiple choices for food including banh mi, pho, vermicelli, rice and noodles with different proteins and fresh veggies. I can tell you that all the vegetarian options are excellent. The broth for the vegetarian pho is very flavorful, and the fried tofu and fried egg banh mi really hits the spot. There are lots of fun sauces to eat with your food including sambal oelek, sriracha, hoisin sauces. The staff is very friendly and answer any questions you have about the food. You can watch them make the food which is fun for the kids and adults. And, you can take the food to go. The pho was perfectly delicious as takeout. They separate the broth from the vegetable so you can mix it yourself when you get home. I'm really glad there is a good Vietnamese restaurant here on the North Shore that is casual and family-friendly and healthy and tasty.

Tofu banh mi, made vegan by omitting eggs ($8). Nicely savory with great bread.

Good food! Loved the spring rolls and smoothies! We did take out so our pho was a little cold but overall great.

Food is good but every single time I order a pickup order it's late and when you arrive the staff won't even acknowledge you for 10+ min

I was given a bag with one container of noodles and broth and meat all together/ there was no sides of typical Thai basil and other Vietnamese accompaniments that come with pho... The broth is flavorless. The noodles as another reviewer pointed out were very very little for the price of the soup and for pho in general. I usually don't go back and change reviews but I can't express how dissatisfied this is. I'm glad I actually checked the bag! I had to ask for another to go container to separate the noddles from the broth ( pho should never be served this way) I had to ask for Thai basil and everything else pho is served with. Unfortunately they are closing this location today and I can see why. This isn't how pho should be and even changing a for here order to a to go doesn't make a difference for the broth, packaging, noodle ration etc

Soall is located on Rantoul Street and metered parking is available out front. The customer service is great and the bistro itself is brand spanking new. It has bar seating area and table dining as well. The restaurant is one of the more modern decorated Vietnamese restaurants compared to traditional mom and pop's Vietnamese restaurants that I am used to. I appreciate the vietbamese street scene mural that they have going and I appreciate their effort and attention to detail. For appetizer, we ordered the Vietnamese fish sauce fried chicken wings. It was very good! This is a must! Sadly, they didn't have the betel leaves beef/pork skewer. I will have to come back another time. For entree, I ordered pho while my husband ordered the bun cha Ha Noi, and my kids shared the rice plate with pork chop and fried egg. My pho broth was very clear, and very light in flavor. It was very reminiscent of how my mother would make her pho, very subtle flavors and with wide pho rice noodles. Long's pho I would say is more akin to Northern Vietnamese pho so if you're looking for more salty and fragrant pho, this might not be for you. I love additional pickled vinegar garlic slices that are available at each table as well. I have never seen this at any Vietnamese restaurant in MA. The bun cha Ha Noi, the was good, but I would try something other next time. The rice plate we ordered had pork chops, fried eggs, and what was supposed to be pork skin, however, the pork skin was not up to standard so the owner replaced it with grilled chicken for us. Pork chops were a little over cooked. They are still very new. I think playing some music will help with the kitchen banter. Service was friendly and fast. Food came out at a very good pace. I feel like their drinks and appetizers menu might be the place to start if you're not adventurous. I will definitely be back to try more of their dishes. See my pictures!

Staff are friendly here and despite a small storefront, there is so much to choose from! Not only are you getting banh mi sandwiches, they also have rice rolls, rice plates and baked goods! There are other things too. Banh mi - We like the special cold cut combo, and they were $7.50 each. These were excellent! Bread was perfectly crisp and filling was good proportions. Flavor was good and it satisfies! Egg rolls - $1.25 each. They are small but pack great crisp and the filling is tasty. Get 4 or 5. Rice roll plate - Not sure of the price but appears to be good portions and comes with one egg roll and it has some cold cut style meats. Includes fish sauce and you can ask for it to be spicy and they give you the spiciest (but so good) red chilies! 4 banh mi's, 5 egg rolls and the rice roll plate was $45.xx. This place is take out only but there are some tables in the middle area. This is not a place to go for a date...just for good eats.

I wish I could grant it 5 stars but my husband And I agree it is a 3 star rating. The flavors were powerful on each dish - the overwhelming taste however was much TOO SALTY. This was the case for the egg noodles, the kale, the bahn mi, scallops even the chocolate mousse at the end. We also feel the portion sizes were just too small. Literally one bite for the majority. Some were 3 or 4 bites (salads). I know it's not the same type of restaurant but I can't help but to compare it to the Zuma experience at the Four Seasons in Boston. THAT was amazing. And the portions were 5 times bigger. Steak. Lobster. of course sushi and a magnificent dessert boat of highest quality gelato and fruit. An experience memorable for life. Nightshade won so many awards. We had to try it. But it didn't meet our exoectations. Portions need to be bigger. Flavors need to be more subtle on the salt. It is a beautiful and casual at the same time environment - people very friendly. And we appreciated the Anniversary card!
