We got pho to go since they were about to close in half an hour, thought it would be pointless to even sit and eat in a rush. My husband loves the pho in here and I do too. The Asian options around Peabody are limited so we decided to give this place a try. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall next to a gas station. It's an old appearing Vietnamese restaurant with minimum decorations inside. They have a big menu with 157 items on it. We ordered the Bún bò Huế which is a classic Vietnamese dish, but it was not good at all. The meat inside the dish was so inedible, they gave lots of beef tendon and a piece of pork bone that didn't have any meat on it. Moreover, the dish wasn't even a bit spicy like it's supposed to be. Only complaint I have is take a picture of the receipt or make sure to ask for one to have record. I made the mistake of not taking mine. I left over 20% in cash for tip and paid the meal with credit card. they over charged my credit card an extra 20% after i specifically asked them if they charged tip into the meal and they told me no. so even at the nicest restaurant you could be scammed out of your money if not careful. The Bánh Xèo appetizer is a classic and a must try. Definitely a great starter for people new to Vietnamese cuisine. It is a crispy "pancake" filled with bean sprouts, pork and shrimp but their shrimp was so small and shriveled up it was kind of sad. How to eat it is you take a piece of the pancake, wrap it in the fresh lettuce, and dip it in fish sauce. It was flavorful but had a little bit too much excess oil. The pork chop plate was the best, big pieces of juicy grilled pork and its a great option for anyone. The Pho Tai was good, nice pieces of sliced beef that is not too fatty and was very lean for the most part. Broth was good. Unfortunately, I ordered the Avocado smoothie with Boba. I drink Boba regularly so I know what it is supposed to taste like... their boba was definitely gone bad as in it tasted inedible and expired. Boba that isn't expired or gone bad taste like nothing without putting it in sugar or syrup but they were arguing with us that the boba was cooked in the morning so it was good. Nevertheless, I tried multiple times to make sure that what I am tasting is just not right. I just couldn't keep drinking it so we told the server what happened. However, to our surprise she literally opened up the smoothie and scooped out the boba. She handed the smoothie back to me with like 1/4 of the cup empty and there was STILL boba in the drink? We told her the boba tasted inedible and she unsuccessfully scooped out the boba and gave us 3/4 of the drink back with the lid sticky and all. Pho Paris is awesome. It totally hit the spot, and I can't believe I hadn't tried it sooner! They have an extensive menu with options for everyone - including many vegetarian-friendly items. I love that they offer different sizing options for their soups as well - some restaurant pho servings are simply too huge for the normal person. Here, you can choose! They offer plenty of sauces and sides to make your soup perfect to your taste. Service was great, our food came out very quick, and the prices were reasonable! Food was okay at best and my partner felt the atmosphere was a bit "off". All we needed was a decent lunch to get us through our errands which this did. I've recently just returned from Europe and while sitting in the car with my partner (on the phone with her sister), the waiter comes outside to tell us we didn't tip him and asked why. It was an honest mistake as we don't typically tip in Europe. We spent nearly $90 and because they chased us for maybe $15 more, they've lost out on getting any further business from us. I understand service jobs can be gruelling but chasing someone out to the parking lot while they're already in their vehicle is just entirely in bad taste and I hope that's not usual of them as that kind of action can be dangerous. Tips aren't required and it's unfortunate this waiter felt the need to chase us down for one; either a clear sign of entitlement or the owner needs to pay their employees more so they're not putting their time/safety on the line for $15. read more

My go-to pho spot! As a Vietnamese-American, I've ate at a lot of Vietnamese restaurantes after moving out of my parents and found Pho Paris to have the best tasting broth. Although I am vegetarian and have lower standards for pho, my partner loves a classic beef pho. We've tried all around the Malden/Medford area and they don't hit as much as this place does. Service is insanely fast and everything is good. We always order spring rolls as an appetizer and the sauce is made perfectly. To pair everything together, a refreshing Thai iced tea and Vietnamese iced coffee are also made to perfection. 10/10 recommend. Menu is easy to read and very clean place. read more

When I arrived to pick up my order, I was charged $16.95 for vegetarian fried rice. This felt dishonest and like I was being overcharged. Furthermore, when I initially called to place my order, I was told you do not offer delivery. When I call back with a question, I was hung up on while I understand there may have been phone line issues, this added to my frustration. Finally, the staff member who processed my payment was unfriendly and appeared cocky. I am extremely disappointed with this experience. We visited here on day after Thanksgiving on a cold rainy afternoon. I was feeling a little under the weather so thought a nice bowl of hot pho might make me feel better. Very happy they have my favorite Bun Bo Hue and it tasted pretty good, tasty broth and good ingredients. The service was pretty good too once we ordered although its a pretty casual place just sit where you like and order when ready. Good pho place in the area for sure and glad we had a chance to try it out. I had seen Pho Paris several times, but hadn't had the opportunity to visit until recently. I went at exactly 11 on a Saturday, but believe they open at 10:30, which is even better. Staff is super friendly. There are plenty of tables; parking is a bit tough though. Due to my timing, I did not have a problem parking. Believe it or not, this was my first time having beef pho. I'm more of pho ga girl, ya feel me? But this was great. The flank was flavorful and the bowl was huge. I was a bit disappointed in the aromatics, as the menu listed sawtooth (culantro) which is hard to find. So I had hope, because I'm a huge sawtooth fan, but they just offered the usual. Goi cuon was fine. I might try the cha gio next time, but there will definitely be a next time. read more

Wow the food was delicious! Great service ordering take out. The bun bo hue wasn't as spicy as it is at most places which I didn't mind. Full flavored. Extremely good fried tofu with onions and sub the beef for shrimp. The noodles were yummy. This is my favorite Vietnamese soup. Never, in my whole entire life did a server chase after me (while pulling out of the parking lot) to ask "what went wrong with the service" and suggested for a bigger tip because "they deserve it". To which I confirmed that "yes" there was an issue; we didn't even ask for hot tea but it was already at our table? Water was never served to us until we asked for it plus only one napkin was given to one member of the group? Myself and the other person didn't receive any napkins until we asked for it. She stated that they usually "wait" to hear "what it is" that the customer wants before doing anything. Which I find quite funny, because most places would ask, "Can I start you off with some water or...?" But the waitress said that she does "not" have to bring it to us unless we "ask" for it. I honestly wanted to snap at her but didn't want to cause a scene because we're from out of state. My girlfriend just asked for the receipt back and crossed off the original amount paid and tipped $15 to resolve the issue (she's a sweet heart and feel for small businesses). If you do decide to go here- do assume that you will automatically have to tip 15% off the bat OR be chased down like us too. read more
