I brought my 2001 Tacoma that had a check engine light on due to an emissions problem. They performed the basic scan that gave them the P0441 code which I already knew based on my scanner. They performed a smoke test and replaced my gas cap, reset the check engine light and had me pick the truck up. I drove it a few days and my light came back on, when I talked to my service advisor, I questioned whether the mechanic had thoroughly checked each evaporator sensor, never got an answer. Personally, if you have an emissions issue take it to the dealership as this place doesn't have the knowledge to fix your problems. I replaced the 3 sensor dealing with the evaporator and that seemed to have solved my problem. read more

UPDATE: The manager called me and expressed his regret at the service I received and offered a partial refund along with a free oil change. I appreciate that they recognized where they were weak and stepped up. Disappointed with the service I was met. I came in with two concerns, my main concern that I was mostly worried about was noise coming from one of my wheels (turned out to be a wheel bearing issue) and the second was that I felt my emergency brake had too much slack. I came in on day 1 communicating this and they said they would have to do a diagnostic which was $115, I asked if I wanted only my wheel to be checked would the price go down and they responded saying no they need to do a full diagnostic checking all aspects of the vehicle which I agreed to. After the end of the day when they were going to close they said they didn't get around to it and to pick up my car, i'm fine with that but they should've been able to tell how much work they can handle in a day. I come in on day 2, reconfirm the job and they stated it would take about three hours. Five hours later they called and said they found the issue was from a wheel bearing and that they did not complete a full diagnostic but I could come in for my car and complete the diagnostic another day. I come in on day 3 to complete the full diagnostic service and they said it wasn't necessary since they discovered the main issue. When I asked about the emergency brake they said I would have to pay for another service. This is not what I was originally told. Either they were dishonest, didn't understand their policies, or had poor communication skills. Whatever the reason, due to this and their slow turnaround time I will not be coming back to this location. read more

Wow, what a breath of fresh air. Due to my travels many of our cars just sit and stagnate...granted, they are on float chargers but there is more to taking care of a car than keeping the battery charged. While home for the holidays I decided to give several of our iron steeds some much needed attention and just saying attention is putting it mildly. I had heard nothing but good reports from many associates regarding Service First, so I gave them a call as we are/were in the market to find a new home garage for our toys. Collin Chebret said they were up for the challenge and I thanked him for his adventurous spirit. First up was my wife's 2001 Boxster that due to the fact that it sits has not had an oil change in many, many years. (I have tried to explain that it is not just a function of mileage but also time that matters in the equation) Anyway it needed a whole lot more than just the oil changed as due to simple age many of the suspension components had rotted with time and Collin walked us through it every step of the way. He called and updated us as he and is team uncovered more issues as they dug into the little yellow car's innards. If that was not enough, I decided to up the ante by throwing my 2004 Mercury Marauder into the mix for an oil change at the same time and of course, more automotive drama would ensue as it needed about every kind of service imaginable. I was game, lets get it done right and start from ground zero and do the job correctly and true to form, Collin was kind, considerate and very professional. I am glad to say that both four wheeled children are back home in their appropriate garage stalls and we could not be more pleased with the quality of service and professionalism shown to us by Collin and his crew at Service First. From filling the diesel exhaust fluid to oil changes even inflating my tires after a temperature change, they happily help me keep me safely running the roads. Today I am here getting new tires and an alignment. If you are looking for top notch service, ask for Stewart. He always greats me with a smile, and takes extra good care of me. He gets me a shuttle home if the service is going to take some time, even transferring the grand baby's car seat over for the ride home. On shorter visits, he gets me set up in the play area and offers refreshments. When needing tires he showed me three options and pointed out the ones he would recommend if it was his own mom driving with a grand baby. It may seem small but, I really feel like Caliber/Stewart genuinely care and I have great trust in their services and and all the little extras they do at no charge to (tire air pressures, adding exhaust fluid that I provided) Great work and top of the line customer service! read more

Ok this place is a hidden gem as I have never experienced this kind of excellent customer service at any type of automotive shop in my lifetime. Soon as you walk in you are greeted and they go over every single detail and charge with you before they start any work. I took in my Honda for a check engine light and left it there so they can inspect it. I got lucky to meet Kyle who kept me informed via text and phone calls with progress of the repair and updates. They even took pictures of their full inspection of recommended repairs and what they found. This is really impressive for any type of service business yet alone an auto repair shop. I'm cool with the environment and prices, but I recommend NOT waiting. An oil change took 2/12 hours..I felt they were not transparent about the wait time and I left feeling my time was not valued. Fast forward a few weeks later when I had to return for my tires which they ordered...only to wait 3+ hours in the lobby for tires and an alignment. A++ expert service and hassle-free warranty! Caliber Auto replaced our 2016 Explorer shocks and struts. 18 months later, the front passenger side developed a terrible noise and rough ride. Caliber Auto not only fixed our front suspension problem, but also checked the rear and replaced our struts, ALL under warranty ($0 charge). Better, yet, my warranty was renewed so I get another 3yrs! I was amazed by the hassle-free warranty process: just bring the car, no questions, no excuses, no hassle! Sure, every business claims to honor their warranty, until you bring the car back... In my experience, 1/2 the time is a fight or some excuse to get me to cover the replacement, but not with Caliber. Have taken our car for repairs many times. I took my car in to check the brakes at 8:00 am. Told them I needed it by 4:30. They said absolutely no problem. At 2:00 I had not heard from them and called them, said they'd call in 5 minutes. After 20 minutes we called, no answer. Went in to pick up the car since I needed it by 4:30. I waited 30 minutes with 3 different guys giving me the run around about my car. Obviously, no one is in charge cause didn't seem like anyone could find my car. Seems that they do not have same quality work or leadership needed to accomodate customers. They could have just told me when I took it in that they would not be able to get to it and I would have understood, but this is not acceptable read more

My first time having my oil changed here and it was literally the best experience I've had at a car shop. They are incredibly thorough and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The price was lower than I've paid in a long time and I had no issues afterward. They didn't try to upsell a bunch of extras but they were super clear on the condition of filters, fluids, etc. The waiting room looks very comfy and the kids play area is a really nice addition. Took my 2012 F-250 into have some front end work and a alignment done. F-250 can develop what's called the death wobble. The guys in the shop worked with me to add a aftermarket kit from PMF Suspension out of Arizona. They where very patient allowing me to order the parts for my truck while they did the labor. It was a extensive undertaking, but not a expensive undertaking due to the shop keeping their rates reasonable. After driving the truck 1200 miles it feels like a new truck and I'm very happy with their work. I recommend this shop for your F-250 front suspension issues. Thomas read more

I was so relieved and excited to see a location for Service First open up near my home. I have used Service First on Louetta for many years and was sad when I moved too far away to be able to continue using them for my varying automotive repair needs. This organization has always provided me with proficient, professional, and reasonably priced services. They have always they have always diagnosed and completed repairs on the first visit, which is not the experience I have had in working with dealerships. There shops are kid friendly, and immaculate. There is a ball play area for the children as well as iPads comfortable seating and water and coffee for the adults. For those who's repair may take an extended period of time, they provide transportation back to your residence or office, and will pick you up when repairs are completed. I went in for alignment, had an appointment but it didn't matter because they did everyone else's cars before mine anyway. Very annoying, don't care about reserved times. I was there almost 2 hours waiting anyway. When the guy brought car around, supposed to be completed alignment. I drove to end of driveway, heard very loud engine and unusual engine hesitation. Backed up and told desk clerk. I was upset because I go in for alignment and come out with check engine light on and engine troubles. I opened hood with guy, saw at least a very large wide open and disconnected. He said he'd check all that have been pulled off and bring to fix whatever tubs had been disconnected. Waited another 20 minutes, brought it out. Got in it, engine light still on and engine still hesitating. Backed back to front door, again. Same story, guy said bring it in back again, I showed my frustrations with obvious unskilled labor there. Brought out third time, guy was sitting in it revving engine. I got in and drive again to end of driveway, check engine light came back on, they said they had plugged computer in to get fail codes and fixed them. I talked to manager, he was new and listened well but I was too mad to give them anymore chances. I brought to another shop, got list of codes, 8 of them all related to disconnected tubes. I definitely don't recommend caliber repair for obvious! Go in for alignment, come out with intentional engine damage. There is no need to pulled tubes off engine when doing alignment. Stay away from this company if you care about your car or your wasted time!!! read more

No matter what issue you have the price always seems to be upward of 1000 to 2000 dollars, seems to be more expensive since they changed their name. The place used to be packed and now empty. Friday the 13th struck hard this year. The cv axle on my Honda Pilot was making lots of noise for my wife in the morning. I had asked her to go here first, but she was in a different part of town. She decided to take it to a different shop due to the noise. She called and gave me that shops quote. I asked her to go to Service First for a second opinion. My wife dealt with Kyle and Cody at different parts of the day throughout the process. They gave their opinion and the quote. The actual quote was $100 cheaper than the other shop with a better warranty. My wife was not completely comfortable with what she was hearing, so she called me to speak with Cody. Cody was the utmost professional. He was willing to email the quote and send pictures if needed. He was honest about the assessment and to what level things should be prioritized. My wife and i were impressed with the appearance of the shop, cleanliness and overall professionalism of all the staff. My husband and I are totally impressed with how they explain everything to you ....and there are no surprises on the cost because they tell you right up front how much everything will be. Their show room is clean and you can sit there and have a Cup of coffee while you wait or you can choose to get a ride back home and they will pick you up when your car is ready. They check out everything thoroughly and give you the option if you choose to repair or replace. We also have taken our car there for the state inspection. They took my information quickly and got my car back promptly. They sent me a diagnostic report (with actual pictures of MY car) while I was waiting.
