Called the Columbia Caliber Collision location around 8:00 AM on Friday, March 13 to drop my vehicle off for repairs. Andrew told me his manager instructed staff not to allow USAA customers to drop vehicles off on Fridays because USAA won't cover the rental car and that it was a new policy from "higher up." Knowing my policy, I told him I'd simply pay for the rental myself. He immediately changed the story and said they were actually booked for the day. I later confirmed with USAA that no such policy exists. If the shop was booked, that should have been the honest answer from the start instead of giving false information about insurance coverage. Misleading customers to avoid service is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the professionalism of this location. read more

Absolutely incompetent. I got an estimate last week and dropped off my car today for repairs. After dropping my car off and returning home I got a call saying oops we don't have the right tools to do the repairs. No apologies, just a big FU. Had to Uber back to pick up my car and go through the whole process with the insurance company to find a competent shop. Huge waste of time, use them at your peril. read more

2 stars were given due to the circumstances I've endured. On 1/8, I dropped off my vehicle for repairs due to a rear-end collision I was in. I was told it'll be ready the same friday on the 10th, it ended up being extended until Friday the 17th, supposedly. So, I went ahead and scheduled appointments for the week of the 13th. On tuesday morning 1/14 at 9am, I received a text saying the car was still being worked on and it'll be ready the 17th. 2 hours later, I received a call stating the car is ready, I let them know that due to not being updated, the car would not be able to picked up until the 17th as promised, which I also spoke with the insurance company who didn't seem to be happy that I needed the extension. Fast forward to the 17th, I pick up the vehicle where they tell me they kept my vehicle running because they had to jump start it. On Sat 1/18, My steering wheel magically stops working, which was fine when I gave them the vehicle. On sunday 1/19, all 4 tires were intentionally emptied which was full when I gave them the vehicle. The 2 stars were for the fixed bumper, but they deserve no more after the trouble my vehicle is happening after leaving their shop. I will be calling on Tuesday to complain. read more

Then, half a year later I noticed a blemish in the center of my hood that was making me nutso! it was totally unrelated to anything prior. I could not buff it out, so I took it back to Shah and he took care of the blemish, charged me nothing! I feel very comfortable as a "mouthpiece" for Caliber in Columbia, MD! Caliber Collision came highly recommend to me from my insurance company. Usually, I'm a little skeptical when it comes to partnerships like that, and prefer to go with someone of my own choice, but I was pleasantly surprised with Caliber! The staff are so friendly and helpful, and their office is surprisingly nice, complete with a coffee bar and old fashioned popcorn cart. The seating area is roomy and comfortable, and more importantly, clean. I had used Caliber once before for an insurance claim with an originally good experience. I recently returned to them for a repair on another car. My more recent experience was horrible. I had called early in the day to let them know I was going to drop my car the day prior to my scheduled service. After having to park several lots away, I informed their person at the front desk that I was dropping my car for service the next day. She asked me if I saw any parking space out front as though I should not even attempt a drop off the day before. I had previously informed the individual developing my estimate of the primary repairs I wanted performed. As it turned out, they completely failed to perform the entire repair, and made no attempt at following up. This was a terrible experience overall. read more

Excellent service! I had an accident a few weeks ago. My car had to be towed to Caliber Collision on 31 March 2023. Shah, my service provider, called me on the following Monday to let me know that they would be taking care of my car. He kept in constant contact, keeping me abreast of the status of my car. He was also very attentive in listening to me about things that were a problem with the car after the accident. He stayed in touch with the insurance company in a timely manner to not delay the returning of my car. I was able to get my car back in two weeks! We don't plan to have accidents, but it is certainly nice to have such pleasant and professional people to deal with to address all your concerns in an empathetic manner. No one plans an accident, but it is certainly wonderful to get someone who cares about your car and you. Highly recommend them. Shah was very good and competent to deal with! read more

At first they seemed very confident in their work and made it convincing that they will take care of you. When I finally pick up my vehicle there were multiple issues that were brought to my attention especially issues that were not there in the first place likely from carelessness. The attention to detail is nowhere near professional as the website claims to be and things like this should be quality checked to the highest of standard and not just "ok". Created a list to hopefully have these issues that I brought up fixed and looked over. Brought the vehicle back for them to do so and they failed to attend to all the issues and got to the point were I didn't want to deal with them anymore. Overall my experience was poor due to the lack of quality and craftsmanship such as overspray, paint drip, pure laziness (i.e. didn't even take off the handles to repaint them and it was rough textured; brought it back and all they did was sand it/buff/polish probably while it's still on the car) Hopefully your experience won't be as difficult as mine was. read more

Took my car here after an accident involving my car where insurance paid for the repairs. When I picked my car up, the seat, door and carpet were soaking wet because some special person left my windows open. I had to take my car back to this place 4 different times due to faulty repairs. The first time, my headlight was out. I contacted the manager to notify him of this issue and he was very dismissive stating it had nothing to do with the accident because nothing was repaired in that area. Every time I spoke with the manager he was condescending and threatened to charge me a diagnostic fee if the things wrong with my car were not their fault. And of course it was their fault. Someone forgot to put the bulb back in. Some one ripped my drivers seat. There were still marks from the impact on the car. Fenders came half way off and were placed on my red tape. After having my car damaged beyond what was created by the accident, I contacted corporate and had to take my car to a different location. They ripped my seat beyond repair and after suggesting I obtain legal representation, all of a sudden they were able to get me a new seat. I took my car in on August 3. I was in a rental until November. I was treated horribly by the front desk girl at this location( black female with tattoos and facial piercings) and the manager. I will never use this company again. I wasted time I cannot get back on this entire ordeal. read more

Honest place! My bumper cover wasn't flush with the car & getting worse as time went on. I wasn't in an accident and couldn't figure out what was going on. My mechanic recommended Caliber so I went there. The manager looked at my car, took the time to explain how it happened (the year/model low to the ground & I was unknowingly parking too close to the curb, pushing the car up just a little & over time dislodging the bumper cover). Not only did he fix it he showed me how to fix it if it happens again (it was a nothing fix-he just pushed the bumper cover back in place). The cost to me was absolutely nothing. He could have charged for his time, I know nothing about auto body repair & was ready to pay & when I asked why no charge, he said they're not in the auto business, they're in the customer service business. After that experience I believe him and if I need a body shop they have me as a customer! read more
