If the accident didn't lower your car's value, taking it to Caliber Collision will make sure of it. - I wouldn't trust Caliber Park Hill to repair a rental car. The quality control at Caliber is horrible to non-existent. Nobody seems to check anyone else's work and all they do is deny and deflect when you point out an error. After 3+ weeks at Caliber the vehicle was returned with the bumper installed incorrectly. It was lopsided-hanging an inch lower on one side and skewed to the left so bad that it stuck out about an inch beyond the fender on one side while being recessed on the other. It was very clear that no one had even bothered to check the vehicle after it was reassembled. When the mistakes were pointed out, both the Estimator and General Manager (ParkHill, CO Location) tried to claim that that was the way the truck is. They kept talking about how old the truck is "It is 25 years old." After refusing to accept the vehicle as is was, they were eventually able to get the bumper set properly. So maybe, it wasn't the truck's age after all. After the accident, there was no visible damage to the body paint of the 4Runner. The only visible damage was to the front bumper with no damage to driver side fender or door. Yet Caliber decided to paint the fender. After that I was told they needed to paint / clear coat the door so that it matched / blended correctly. - Never mind the fact that we were chared extra for a specific paint match that obviously didn't. No one bothered to prep the door properly and now the paint on the door has pits in it. They also removed the driver's side mirror to paint the door and when they reinstalled the mirror, it no longer adjusts correctly. The mirror worked fine before Caliber ever laid hands on it. When asked to correct the mirror the General Manager, Jared Mossner stated that they won't fix it because the motor inside is old. If you break it, you fix it. My mistake was ever bringing this vehicle to them in the first place. I had always been told by neighbors that Caliber Collision was way overpriced. What I didn't know is that the expense doesn't seem to pay for quality control. If you bring a vehicle here to be repaired, especially if it's more than 15 years old, you will only have yourself to blame. read more

Wasted my time! I submitted 3 estimate requests for repairs outside of insurance and wasn't told until after the 3 submissions when I called to schedule the repairs that they aren't taking vehicle repairs not through insurance. You should not accept estimate requests from people who are choosing not to use insurance if you aren't going to follow through with non-insurance repairs. You've now wasted my time and prolonged the time I will have my car in disrepair. read more

I am not going to speak to the quality of their work at Caliber, but more how they do business. When Caliber quoted work to fix scratches on a car, part of the quote included the cost of replacing parts that they expected would break when they removed them to repaint. Comparing to another quote that was significantly less from another body shop in Denver (that has been around for 38 years) that I used in the past, they did not quote this extra cost. When I asked why, they told me "we don't break those parts". If you are taking your car here, understand exactly what is quoted and why and get a second quote to compare. When I pressed Caliber on why they quoted breaking pieces during the process, they said the following -"98% of the time we break these when removing them". When pressed on the experience of their mechanics and this comment, they said "70% of the time a good mechanic removes this part it doesn't break". Which leads me to believe cost is added to Caliber quotes cost because they may not have enough skilled staff. The cost difference between the quotes was close to $1K, so not minor. I don't know of another business where you quote based on the fact the work is subpar. Astonishing. read more

A huge shout out to Marley and Pamela at Caliber Collision Denver at 5050 Smith St. I take great pleasure in writing this review for the service I received from them. Short story long, while on a family vacation from SoCal, I had a minor incident where debris fell off a moving truck on Interstate 70 and hit me. The damage wasn't substantial and I was still able to drive my vehicle. However substantial enough to make it unsafe to drive back to Orange County, CA. The incident happened 2 days before Christmas, I was expecting to stay (stuck) in Denver past the New Year while flying my family home. I was hoping for a miracle on Christmas Eve and it came through in the form of Pamela J. and Marley L. Right from the beginning they were concerned about my welfare along with my family's. Knowing it was the holidays and vehicles were in high demand, instantly Marley checked with the rental car agency my insurance provider had set up. Fortunately I didn't have to go the car rental route, Pamela's quick wit came up with the idea to allow her autobody men to repair my car enough to make it interstate worthy and safe to get me back home to California. Doing this she knew her Caliber Collision branch would not get the revenue from my insurance provider. Although the thought entered my mind, I don't think it crossed hers. She was more focused on helping me and my family! She assured me once I returned to California I can check in with the nearest Caliber Collision in my area and they will be able to provide me with the same level of professionalism. It was Christmas Eve and both Marley and Pamela took GREAT pleasure in helping a stranded stranger demonstrating the true meaning of Christmas!! read more

Great customer service is expected. But it's when things don't go as planned is when the true colors of a company are revealed. I went with caliber because it was a guaranteed lifetime repair of my vehicle through State Farm. I wanted that security of a no fuss repairs. I WAS WRONG. I had two separate claims out on it. When I picked up my car I noticed all the annunciators on my dash dashing strangely, my AC didn't work, the heater didn't work, the cruise control didn't work. I have photos and video. Then i called the shop back and they said bring it back. Upon my return I was quickly shrugged off and sent on my way saying those issues could fix itself. Low and behold, a few miles in my Car over heated and was left disabled in a busy intersection. A few days later back at their shop, they could no locate the issues or i have no idea what happened then, but caliber struck a deal with the Subaru dealer because CALIBER has originally made a major error in the repairs. They didn't bleed the cooling line and caused the engine to overheat which In turn caused major engine damage. Subaru agreed to fix the engine under warranty (though it was Calibers error) and Caliber agreed to pay for my rental car. HOWEVER I was left with a $260 bill from Enterprise because subaru and caliber had a breakdown of communication. THIS CAUSE CAUSED ME EXTREME FRUSTRATION AND when I tried to resolve this with Caliber, I Got so much ATTITUDE and DEFENSIVENESS from Travis. First off, NONE of this would have been an issue if the repair was done correctly the first time or if anyone could just own up to their errors, which Caliber NEVER apologized for. Subaru eventually took ownership of the breakdown in communication and reimbursed me my rental overages. Caliber on the other hand.... proceed with caution. read more

Brought my car in per my insurance. Was rear ended on the highway by a car moving about 40mph. Rear bumper and fender damaged. Caliber purposely wrote a small, half-assed preliminary estimate so I wouldn't cash out. Told the guy the bumper needs to be replaced and not just painted over as it's severely warped. He agreed, but said it didn't matter because he'll add that to the claim when I bring it in to get fixed. I told him I'd probably fix it myself. He refused to write the full claim. Insurance said they'd pay for the deeper inspection. Caliber refused and manager was arguing and raising her voice over me refusing to add the bumper to the estimate. Took my car to 3 other shops and all said the bumper needs to be replaced and said the estimate is 2-2.5 times higher than calibers. All said caliber was the Walmart of collision repair and that they have multiple cars they're redoing caliber's work in their shop. read more

Terrible experience from top to bottom. Car was delayed months, I had to go back twice, and the paint match was just terrible. Stay away.

I had the pleasure of working with the caliber collision team at 5050 E smith rd. The team made sure to update me multiple times a week with how my car was being fixed and what step of the process we were in. My car looked amazing after the process! The only problem I had was my car battery not working well after I picked up my car. About a week after I picked my car up from caliber collision, I went in again to see if they could help me with my battery. The manager absorbed the cost of my battery and labor to put it in. I can not stress enough how great this team is. They put their customers first and help out wherever they can in these hard times! read more

Long story, short - the team at this location was fantastic! They had great and timely communication and that was even for my car that ended up being totaled out by insurance. I was able to get a jumpstart on searching for a new car even because Travis gave me his professional opinion regarding the value of the car versus the cost of the damage from the accident I was in. Not only that, but when I went back to get my belonging from my old vehicle, he took off my ski rack for me since I had forgotten to being any tools to get that job done. Moreover, once I bought a new car, he had his team remove the wheels from my old vehicle with just a 30 minute heads up so that I could have them placed on my new vehicle. He went above and beyond in so many ways to make the process easier! I also should mention Christina, who runs their front desk. She was always kind on the phone and in person. Kept me busy chatting anytime I had to wait a few minutes for someone to come out and help me. I really was so grateful to have the expertise and kindness from this team. Thanks again! read more
