I was referred to Bradley Allen by Cello, (a service advisor) from Hoehn Honda's service department. My Honda Accord had been in an accident, it was t-boned and my insurance company was told by Fix Auto that it was fixable. After going to Hoehn Honda- the service advisor pointed out several "issues" on my vehicle(paint peeling, doors not aligned, a 1/4 inch gap--yes, I had seen some of them!) I told him the car had been in an accident in July but I just recently had gotten it back in October(2 months and 6 days from the initial accident) and wanted a referral to another body shop, he said "Bradley Allen Autobody, that's who we refer all Hoehn vehicles too & Hoehn has a Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Acura, Range Rover, Porsche dealerships-so, they are the best!. He gave me their card, I called, spoke with Cliff who told me to bring it in the next day. My next contact was with Julie (nicest and most helpful!!) and then Louis looked over my vehicle and went for a test drive with me (I kept hearing air!) He said the vehicle had some small but repairable issues he could visibly see and the air I was hearing was probably due to the "new-used(ie: CRAP) doors not being "sound-proofed" and a wax applied to them(it gets rid of "road noise!") I had to get my insurance company out to look at the vehicle with Bradley Allen and get them to authorize any work to be done. They came out, looked at it and gave permission. I brought the vehicle back the following Monday and was told it would be done by Thursday or Friday-depending on what they found when they were able to open up the vehicle. I received a phone call from them on Tuesday, informing me that they ordered the soundproofing material for the doors and were going to put a camera up and in the vehicle to look for any other damage. I then received a call on Thursday asking me to come in on Friday morning to meet with Louis and the insurance adjuster. I went in the next morning, my vehicle was apart and they showed me where the previous body shop had marked in "blue marker" the damage, it was throughout my vehicle-the backseat was buckled, the frame was bent from front to all the way back, I could see the ground from the inside backseat where the cracks in the frame were. They put the vehicle up and let me see the damage underneath. I was then told that my vehicle was not structurally safe nor could it be fixed. The damage was too extensive. The previous bodyshop who "worked" on it--actually, just covered up the damage(my words not them!) with a new outer pieces and a half ass paint job!! I thanked Louis and Cliff- when I brought the vehicle in for a second opinion and to look at the stuff that I saw wrong--they didn't blow me off as a crazy lady or an unhappy consumer with an attitude, they listened and they had their guys go over my vehicle to see if there were any other issues with it and they were honest and upfront about not being able to fix it !! I am so thankful that they are "The Good Guys" --they also called my insurance adjuster, who came out, took pictures and proceeded to "total out" my vehicle that day. They are a HONEST body shop and very professional and Awesome!! If I am ever in an accident or need autobody repair done on my vehicle, I am so going there!! I live in Bonita and it is 36 miles from me but that is the only place I will go to now. I so, trust them!! I used Bradley Allen Auto Body on the recommendation of Hoehn Honda in Carlsbad for a hit and run my car was involved in. They did not clean my car thoroughly before painting it and this has left permanent "fish scales" in the paint. On a more serious note they left a bolt off the axle and this has been huge safety issue that has endangered my life and any of my passengers lives. They do sloppy work obviously that result in poor quality and more importantly this sloppy work results in safety issues that endanger lives. read more

Bradley Allen is right down the street from my Chiro Clinic, Leucadia Chiropractic. ( Can you say "plug"? ) Just got my Tundra back from them, and it is perfect. It was hit once before, they replaced the bed, did a bunch of stuff, and it came back perfect then. My previous truck, a Tacoma, was hit pretty hard, and that came back perfect. My backround as a vehicle owner is that I have an eye for imperfections. When you get your car back, there will not be overspray, color differences, it will be just as God and the car manufacturer intended. What about the bad? If you are paying cash, there are other cheaper places in town to get it fixed. NO ONE will fix it better, however. They are consistently wonderful. Oh- they also will estimate a time of completion, and so far, they have always been within time frame. What are you waiting for! Give them a call, get a quote. The quality of their work is okay, but their service is terrible. Someone ran into my husband at a stop sign and he needed to have the bumper replaced on his SUV. Very easy, no brainer job. We took his vehicle in at the appointed time and it took them over 20 minutes to write up the paper work so we could leave...making me late for a Dr's appointment. So unorganized. They said it would only take an hour or so to do the work and the vehicle would be ready later in the day. By 3 o'clock nobody had called us so my husband called and they said they would get back to him. They never did. So, he called the next day and got the same story. We were finally able to pick up the car late in the day. I sure wouldn't go here again. Rancho Auto Body is the best...I've been there twice and their service is stellar and their work is amazing. read more

All work has been stellar, service superb, follow up in returning calls is always good as well. I would highly recommend this shop. Note: one of my clients owns a 10 yr old MBenz and the paint was fading in some spots on her hood. She took it to the dealer who told her the car would require a new paint job, over $3000. We just had our Volvo fixed (after I was rear-ended a few weeks ago) at Caliber Collision Encinitas and they were absolutely AMAZING. I love Bradley Allen Auto Body. I know absolutely NOTHING about cars, and I hit a post in my parking complex a while back (women drivers ahahaha) and completely shattered my front headlight. They even let me schedule my service work to be done over the holiday break so I wouldn't need my car! Having one's car damaged in a front end collision is not normally thought of as a pleasant event, but Caliber Collision at 204 North Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas certainly made the fixing of that damage a very pleasant experience. I took my 2004 Honda Accord in on a Tuesday morning. The damage was repaired, the bumper replaced and all painting completed in time for me to pick the car up by late Thursday afternoon. This place is AMAZING! Just moved here from Colorado so I have no regular shop I go to. I read some good reviews on yelp so decided to give it a try. The handle in my back door of my Juke was loose and looks like it needed a screw. The gentleman at the front with blonde hair came out to look at it. He went back inside and got a screw and fixed it less than ten minutes! Did not even charge me a dime! I know this sounds small but being taken advantage of in the auto industry for a woman is very common. He could have told me I needed a whole new piece and there was nothing he could do but he fixed it and sent me on my way! After the day I had today this was a total victory! Took my wife's new-used car in for front bumper work. The bumper looked better than brand-new afterwords with a perfect color match even though they had to custom mix the paint (not available off shelf). Very pleased with the workmanship and they also took care of some hidden damage to the bumper at no additional cost to us. Also, took it in a second time to remove scratches in the color coat from the trunk lid. They color-sanded and buffed the trunk to a high luster and smoothness for only $55 which I think is a remarkable value considering the althernative cost of repainting, which would have been much more expensive. In fact, I would recommend the color sanding-buffing routine for anybody who just wants to give their car finish a much better than just- waxed look. The color sanding removes all the surface roughness from normal oxidation and leaves the finish with a high gloss and smoothness that is unbelieveable! They also glued back on a chrome trim piece at no charge, saving me over $100 for a new part! Highly recommend this facility. They have been around for over 25 years and have a well established reputation with many insurance companies and many local car dealers. read more
