In retrospect, this was a cautionary experience and a reminder to read business reviews rather than simply going with an insurance company's preferred vendor or the closest shop. My experience was extremely unpleasant and dragged on for months. Caliber Collision appeared capable of handling visible body repairs, but they repeatedly failed to address more complex and critical mechanical and safety issues. On multiple occasions, my car was returned to me even though it was unsafe to drive. I had to bring it back several times due to dashboard warning lights and improperly completed wiring work. Eventually, my insurance company allowed the vehicle to be evaluated by a dealership. The dealership stated they had no idea why the steering column had not been replaced and told me I should not have been driving the car at all. That diagnosis prompted my insurance company to reassess the claim and ultimately total the vehicle, since repair costs had exceeded 75% of the car's value. After months of frustration, wasted time, safety concerns for my children, and over $16,000 in repairs, the vehicle was scrapped anyway. It's hard to fully express how upsetting it was to go through all of this only to have the car deemed a total loss long after it was supposedly "repaired." If you have a very simple, straightforward repair, this shop may be fine. However, in my experience they were not upfront about their limitations. They seem to operate as a large nationwide operation focused on volume, with little real quality control for more complex repairs. read more

Caliber Collision placed my family and myself in an unsafe vehicle. They are not friendly nor professional. At times their front office administrator that answers the phone was very rude. The project manager helped as best she could  and was able to get additional rental car days but seemed to not know the status of my vehicle or why it sat for days/weeks without movement. In October of 2023 we were in an accident that was not our fault. We chose to go through our insurance company and let them deal with the at fault driver's insurance. We trusted our insurance company's recommended/preferred body shop which was Caliber Collision located in Stevensville MD. Caliber kept our vehicle for almost three months. We kept calling on the status and found they were transporting my vehicle from one location to another to get mechanics to work on it because they did not have the right people on location. They seem to have no sense of urgency to complete the work which I consistently told them and my insurance company. My vehicle was returned to me in early-January of 2024. In September 2024 we visited a local garage because our vehicle was riding rough and the alignment seemed to be off. The garage told us our tires were cupping and balanced the alignment but it was still not riding correctly.  We then realized the front bumper was starting to detach. It was recommended that we find a body shop to see if they could re-attach. Based on a family recommendation, we took our vehicle to a different autobody shop in Chester, MD. This shop conducted an initial review and called with significant concerns as to the safety of continuing to drive the vehicle. I was invited into the garage to discuss in-person. I took the paperwork from the previous garage with me to the meeting. The team walked us through what they could see with just the bumper removed which included exposed wiring wrapped in painter's tape, suspension welding coming apart, bent metal not correctly straightened/replaced, after-market parts used instead of OEM, used axle, parts billed but not actually replaced, and significant overspray. With the documentation provided, our insurance company had to conduct a new review and asked this shop to continue digging into our problem When the technician took the measurements it was determined my vehicle was twisted almost 20 millimeters (.789 inches) off center which is why it was not riding correctly. After riding around in our vehicle for almost a year our insurance company determined our vehicle was a total loss. Per our insurance company, Caliber did not even meet their basic guidelines. I've learned quite a bit from this process and one of those lessons centers around how insurance companies recommend body shops that do subpar work to keep their costs down. The alternative would be to work with a professional shop of your own choosing to ensure a vehicle is repaired correctly. Our family was placed back in a vehicle whose integrity was significantly compromised. Stay away from Caliber Collision. They are taking shortcuts and not following even the basic guideline required by insurance companies. Picture proof provided. read more

WARNING THESE PEOPLE WILL FUCK YOUR VEHICLE UP!!!!! I dropped my car off to caliber on March 18th for a repair that was only supposed to take a week. It is now the 11th of April and I am still without my vehicle. With no updates being provided I took it upon myself to call them to see what is going on seeing as I only have one vehicle and travel 100 miles a day for work. When I finally got some answers I was told they ordered the "wrong" headlight 3 times and that the correct one was on its way. Well almost a week after that I get a message saying the headlight came in and they just had to install it and I would be good to go... not the case at all. After another 2 days of no communication I called back and was informed that they sent my vehicle to Volvo because they couldn't figure out what was wrong. I call Volvo and the tech informs me that caliber installed some components wrong which intern blew a fuse in the car as well as fried some components. Non of which I would have known if I didn't call to find out myself. I say all that to say if you need car repairs run as far away from caliber collision as possible. read more

Hit in run wasnt happy when this happen but i took it there N the young lady casey myers was so friendly and very professional and caring she took good care of me while i was there kerp ne up to date on everything i picked my car up today amd was very pleased with outcome the vechile looks amazing wanted to also recognize the workers who did the body work as well as.who did the paintimg awesome job thank you erica kozee will be using you guys in the future read more

One because you have to give it something. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. The manager and girl at the front desk are both very rude. Only one person who was beyond helpful, knowledgeable and did what she could to help me was the service advisor, Casey. I wish she never left the company. I gave it a shot after she left and never again! The repair work was okay still have some issues but anything else was just awful. I have to take my Hyundai to another shop to have things fixed as when I called back to have corrections made the girl who answered the phone, Maya was ignorant. Said the manager would call me and here I wait.... Days later and still no call. The girl probably didn't even take a message she was too much in a hurry to get off the phone. There is literally too much to type of what has gone wrong. Total crap work, TONS of overspray.......EVERYWHERE. Nothing in a timely manner, buffing things out they burned an imprint of the buffing wheel in back Fender...WHICH SHOULD have NEVER been touched. Literally SO pissed because Duty's Body Shop was amazing, then Caliber took over. The people are nice, yet their work is $hit. I am so mad, I support local & let's see if the 4th time we pick up our truck it's done RIGHT! read more

I took my car to have my rear bumper repainted after getting it fixed at a different body shop. The paint didn't match so I needed it repainted. I brought it into Jeff's Auto body, but was told that was as good as the paint could be. Caliber told me they would be happy to repaint the bumper and they did! They not only did an amazing job, but also returned a clean car to me. Excellent staff, great work. read more
