After pricing out a hitch plus installation from the dealer and U-Haul, I decided to give Truck'n America in Laurel, Maryland a try. I went in and spoke to a very knowledgeable and friendly fellow who didn't try to sell me the most expensive thing. He assessed my needs and told me the difference between the products that would work for my vehicle. I scheduled an appointment and went in a few days later to get the hitch installed. They did a fantastic job! Not as cheap as U-Haul but a lot cheaper than the dealer. I would definitely do business with them again. read more

Decided to get a cap for our 2016 F150. As you can see in the photos, it looks great. Very good quality. It came in sooner than expected and got installed quickly. Very satisfied with the product. That being said, there are a couple of things I didn't care for. The dome light was connected to the headlights. You had to turn on the lights to turn on the dome light in the cap. I requested that they change it to the cargo light, which would make more sense. Instead they connected it straight to the battery. Also, we were supposed to get a touch up paint pen and didn't get it. Would have been nice if they took our tonneau cover as trade in. For the price they could have done better. read more

I had an issue with my Truck Bed Cap that needed repair. I went to the Laurel location this morning, explained my issue and was asked if i could bring it back at 1:30. I came back at 1:30 and was met outside by 2 of the technicians. Immediately they removed my bed cap and started working on the repair. Within 30 minutes the repair was done, my cap was replaced all while sitting in the comfort of my vehicle. The team there is top notch and I will return if I ever need any work done in the future or in need of any of their hundreds of truck and trailer supplies that they have in their showroom. Amazing service - professional staff. I'm traveling back to Florida with a hitch and trailer , the manager pointed out concerns about my tires while my car was on the lift . Terrible experience with an employee. I called the number given to me by another employee and when the male person picked up, he kept talking over me and repeating..."what is the about" using my name several times as I was trying to explain why I called. He used the F-word several times as he bullied me and asked who gave me his number as he was going to F-word fire that F-word person. They know not to give out his number he said, as he doesn't "talk" to people. Not sure why he even answered the phone. Then he hung up on me. My customer wanted to purchase from this company in bulk (3 to 5 units) and I had to set the company up for payment via wire. I was trying to explain. I will advise my customer to go somewhere elsewhere with a more professional and less threatening environment. I did not tell him who the employee was that gave me the number as I felt this man might have some issues. Who knows what that temper might bring. read more

U-Haul left us with nothing(even tried to get $ under the table!!!)...even after having an appointment, then they sent us with the wrong parts. If i could give 10 stars I would everything is 10 stars from the moment you call to schedule an appointment to the moment you drive off the parking lot. I had fitment issues with with rims and tires I ordered offline and the clearance with lift kit but truckn America went above and beyond to modify the truck making a miracle out of the disaster I took in there. The tech Jason is awesome he was in touch with me every step of the way and did A+ work. Made an appointment to get my hand controls looked at because of an acceleration problem; the dealership had already checked to make sure it wasn't in the software or the engine. I arrived at the appointed time, the specialist took my truck out for a test drive -- the problem fortunately occurred during the test drive. The service manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. Recently purchased step boards for my truck. Within 15 minutes after departing, returned because I noticed the step boards, especially on the driver side, were not sturdy, nor supported with brackets. The service manager escalated his voice and proceeded to demean me for conveying concerns. This is not the first time he has been rude and condescending. He disrespects customers. I won't spend another dime there as long as he is sitting behind the counter and interacting with customers. read more

We called this firm to have our Meyers snow plow repaired and Mark, who answered the phone assured us that they could perform this service. We scheduled an appointment and took our truck in at the appointed time. After two days we call to check on the progress and Mark was very nasty with his tone and became indignant when questioned about the progress of our requested service. He claimed that the mounting pins were not with the truck when, in reality, the pins were in the glove compartment as we explained. He went on to saw that they would get to it "whenever". I asked why we had to scheduled an appointment if they were going to get to it "whenever". He said I don't know. What a jerk...One day later Mark called and said that he "decided that he didn't want to touch this truck", with no explanation..."It's ready for pick up". Wow!!! What kind of amateur operation are they running there?? I have never seen anything like these guys. We picked up our truck and took it to a real truck plow repair company. Do yourself a favor, stay as far away from these guys as you can. read more

Unfortunately for the installers this install took longer than anticipated and was also a little more challenging than also anticipated, but everyone was friendly.
