The thing is, with a wet sump oil system, I can't take my car to any Joe Shmo oil change place and I've even been advised to avoid dealerships; these guys don't know what they are doing. The car has to be running for so long, the temperature has to be just right, all of these variables have to be met before changing the oil. I decided to take a chance on Mangol's because the reviews were incredible. We took our daughter's car in because her air conditioning stopped working. They said it need a new…read morecompressor and it cost $1200 to repair. The car was running fine and no warning lights were on. After they repaired the air conditioner, two miles from the shop, the check engine light started flashing. They said it was safe to drive, and to bring it back in. It isn't ok to drive a car that is misfiring, so I had it towed to the shop. They then said it needed a new knock sensor $90 and replaced that. Then all sorts of warning lights started flashing and they said it needed a new ABS Pump & Module $1289. At this point we were hamstrung and reluctantly agreed. Roughly $3500 later, on the way home again the airbag light went on and the fasten seat belt light started flashing. At this point I wouldn't trust them to open the car door, let alone attempt to fix anything ever again. Lesson learned, don't take your car to Mangols.

It was always me calling the crash champions to track down information. When I asked why this is happening their excuse was "sometimes things fall threw the cracks and we look like idiots." Well, at least they are idiots. Once I received my car back, a part of my car on the side that they fixed flew off! This happened the same day I picked up my car from them and have driven less than 10 miles. They claim they are not at fault and refuse to fix it. Also, their final price was also 5.5 times the initial estimate from the insurance company. I would take my car anywhere else in the world than this company. It's been a miserable experience by dealing with incompetent people, piss poor communication and terrible service.

I decided to wait on the repair as I considered how to pay for it. After a couple of days spent pondering what to do, I decided to get some other repair quotes for comparison. My first stop was at Rick Yusi Automotive, who was referred to me by a friend plus their reviews were impressive. Not only was the repair quote less than half the cost of the original quote, but they did an amazing job replacing these critical safety parts. Additionally, while researching a check engine light warning, they discovered my gas cap was defective. Rocky called to tell me it might be the reason for the warning and asked if I wanted him to replace it. I told him to replace the gas cap and sure enough, no more check engine light. I expected that it would be an overnight turn around for the repair, given how busy they were, but imagine my surprise after dropping my car off in the morning to receive a call that it was finished by early afternoon. It's very hard to find service like this at such a great price. This will definitely be my new auto repair shop. I highly recommend Rick Yusi Automative for any and all repairs! They Rock!!
