Envisioned Concepts Construction LLC was provided by Home Depot. It took only pics of the damage and full structure texted; the bid received in 1 day was in the range a retired contractor estimated. I agreed to Envisioned Concepts Construction LLC's bid when the owner, Alex Nelson visited the project & confirmed it was a one-day project; penciled the day 3 weeks out, in HOA time frame. Alex Nelson was easy to communicate with, texts facilitated communication as he has new and ongoing projects. As I communicate to the HOA lawyer, Alex provided me the documents quickly. Fortunately Feb 14 had fine weather to complete the project. The 2-person crew that was to remove the rotted beam, build the temporary support and then add the new beam and remove the temporary support arrive about 8:15...as they were having a phone conversation with Alex to get the supplies Alex ordered @ the local Menards -- the Door Specialist arrived. The Door Specialist completed taking the door down as the 'Beam Crew' returned with all supplies. By 3PM the 'Beam Crew' nearly completed their work, also sawing the rotted beam and clearing all materials into their truck. I phoned the Door Specialist and he returned to put the garage door back in place and fully functioning by the time the 'Beam Crew' were ready to leave. This coordination by Alex throughout the project was First Class and the Garage Specialist finished before 5PM. As the rotted beam was likely due to the HOA not providing flashing or maintained caulking standard -- Alex with his Construction professional expertise joined me to write a letter on these matters to the HOA lawyer. We await to receive a response. In Sum: I fully recommend Envisioned Concepts Construction LLC for you projects! I was getting several estimates and wasn't able to meet Jake for our initial consult because of traffic, so he did the consult by phone. He even jumped onto the roof and placed temporary patches up so we wouldn't get any more damage if it rained. This was before we had even hired him. After reviewing the packet he left and speaking to Jake on the phone it was a no brainer to choose Gold Star. Our insurance put up many barriers to discourage our claim for weather damage, and Jake carefully explained the process of submitting (and re-submitting) our claim, what questions to ask, and how to follow-up to get the settlement we were entitled to. It took some time, but the insurance eventually paid for replacing the roof. As soon as it was approved, Gold Star ordered the shingles and had it installed within about 10 days. The Gold Star crew arrived at the crack of dawn, worked all day in the hot sun, and did a beautiful job. The crew was incredibly professional and considerate. They did an amazing job of cleaning up before they left, and I never found a single nail or piece of debris in the yard. I was really worried about this because we have kids and pets that could get hurt stepping on nails. I appreciate their attention to detail and the care they took in protecting my home during the construction process. My new roof looks fantastic, and I have received numerous compliments from my neighbors on the craftsmanship. I highly recommend Gold Star Construction to anyone in need of roofing services. Thanks to Jake, Allstate approved the work.Jake's guys did a beautiful job on the roof, which wasn't easy because my roof is steep and has dormers. You could tell the way they worked together that they were very experienced and skilled. There were about 10 of them and they finished the whole roof in a day plus a few hours more the next day.Jake had them put on extra of the waterproof under-layer to prevent ice dam problems in the winter. I received a voicemail from their VP one morning asking if they would be able to store some construction trusses on my commercial lot. When I called back, he stated he already placed them there. I waited, letting him speak to see if he would apologize and tell me he'd have them off asap, but no dice. Any construction professional knows where their materials should go ahead of time, within their own workspace, when things are being delivered, and how to move them. I asked him if he would supply me with an email so I could send him a letter. That letter requested a rental rate to store the massive construction materials, or I would move them off. I wanted no issues with the city for materials that weren't mine, didn't have a permit for, and I never asked for involvement in their construction project. The CEO and VP tried to say 'there was a misunderstanding', but there can't be when you don't have permission on someone else's property in the first place, trespassing. They did sign the agreement at the 11th hour, did pay the rent albeit late, tried to correct the sod damage but continued to run over it with heavy trucks at the corner, but these issues others might not want to be involved with. I didn't.
