Now in another effort to downsize I sold my second car and was told my premiums would go down yet instead they went up! After more than an hour on the phone and 3 agents was quoted and given a " quote number " to make today and the person I spoke to said "oh oh" the quote was in your sons yet they already have all my information and he dosent have insurance with them in another state! So the quote and promised quote number went out the window and adding insult to injury they said they planned to raise me again since I have no bundle policy!

This is a scam company (literally - all insurance companies are pretty much scammers). What…read moreProgressive is now trying to do is have you "opt into" their data collection program called Snapshot, which supposedly gives them clues or evidence to infer your driving habits (usually highlighting negative things like hard stops and other minor issues). They use this to gather more "evidence" and gain leverage to raise your rates later. Even if you have never filed a single claim, these scammers can still rob you legally by citing all kinds of reasons--such as "inflation," "police tickets," or "records from Snapshot"--to make sure your premium increases every single year. What infuriates me is that when I blocked them from endlessly charging my credit card for adding a driver without my permission, they even disabled the online payment portal and forced me to pay with a debit card, check, or direct bank transfer. At this point, the last resort is to file a claim with the Attorney General and call them out for abusive billing practices. At the very least, I won't let them get away with this easily. This is outright a scam, and yet they are "legally" allowed to scam people.

We meticulously compared my coverage for both auto and home policies, ensuring an apples-to-apples comparison of coverages and deductibles. Ultimately, State Farm was able to reduce my 6-month auto insurance policy by $800 and my annual homeowner's policy by $300... Please note that most of State Farm's coverages were BETTER than what Progr****** had offered me. Ashley quickly and easily helped me input my data for various policy coverages and arranged for my homeowner's policy to go through my mortgage escrow. She even helped identify that my homeowner's policy was FOR THE WRONG FLOOR PLAN of house. We got everything fixed, all discounts applied, and all coverages purchased in a short 30 minute phone call (I expected 45 minutes or longer). Thank you so much for being polite and helpful. --- IN CONTRAST... what's below is about my OLD Progr****** agent who works with "Principle Insurance Services" who has taken hasn't yet replied in over a week to my email calling out their false quote - backstory - I had them quote a new rate for selling one an M2 and buying an M4. That quote was supposedly a $400 reduction in my premium. In reality, changing cars raised the price by $1000. I cited this misquote, offered to find insurance elsewhere if they couldn't fix it, and they've ghosted me. Do not trust Elizabeth Clark or Principle Insurance Services. ----- Definitely DO TRUST Ashley Person from Michael Robson's Agency. Thanks!

I'll preface this by saying that I've made multiple attempts to resolve this with Jimmy Boling's…read moreoffice. I don't think I've ever made a post like this, but I was told that "there is no recourse" and that "Jimmy is on vacation for quite some time". I asked to speak to corporate or the regional office and was told that the decision had already been made. I asked to have my current bill paused until I could speak to Jimmy when he gets back and was told that if I don't pay the full amount due in the mean time I could have my insurance cancelled. The short version: Since January 2024, my insurance has gone from $79.51 per month to $193.80 per month. I have had zero collisions, tickets, or other issues since 2021. In fact, during that time, I also trusted them with my homeowners insurance and joined their "safe driving monitor" discount program. The long version: In February my premium went up to $112 per month with no explanation. I called the office and spoke to Tracy (very professional). I learned that this increase was from my multicar discount being lost as well as some sort of "rate hike across the board" (I know other State Farm customers whose bills didnt go up...). I didn't like this but I was prepared to absorb that increase just to avoid the hassle of shopping for insurance. However, my March bill just came and my premium is now $193.80 per month.. more than double my initial monthly cost. I called the office and was ultimately told that it was due to a crash in 2021 (I hit a deer that jumped into the road). This incident was resulted in a claim (bumper and radiator) and my rates never went up from it until now. I was never cited or found at fault. Just a simple deer jumping onto the road. I was told that the office "just noticed that I was still getting the safe driver discount". It should be noted that by their own admission, their "safe driver discount" recycles every 3 years anyways. I was also told that I "came out on top" by getting a discount when I shouldn't have been.....but in reality I wouldn't have lost the discount for a no fault accident anyways. Regardless, I'm not sure that paying an extra $114 per month counts as winning in anyones book. I can think of no better way to lose a customer than to double a monthly bill without explanation and basically tell them to deal with it. Losing my business might not matter but maybe a few people reading this review will steer clear and save themselves similar problems. Basically this isn't the State Farm we grew up with.. Steer clear.
