We also ordered from the canteen and it was the slowest service I have ever experienced. The employees seemed completely lost and not sure how to run it. For the amount of money we spent, we expected a little more. Probably won't return and will go To camp Fimfo.

Mixed Experience at Jellystone Park in Tyler, TX - Won't Be Returning…read more We visited Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Tyler over the 4th of July weekend, renting multiple cabins to celebrate with family. The water park was definitely the highlight -- our 2- and 4-year-old had an absolute blast. The main pool was also a hit with the kids. The fireworks show on the 4th was fantastic, and the overall list of amenities is impressive on paper. However, the rest of the experience didn't live up to expectations. Cabin Conditions: * The A/C worked well in the living room, but bedrooms didn't cool properly when doors were closed. * Every cabin we rented was noticeably dirty -- floors hadn't been swept and one even had old hot dogs left in the microwave. * A power outlet in one unit was missing a cover. When we reported it, we were told it wasn't a concern since it was behind a couch, and that no replacement was available. * Shower water pressure was barely a dribble. Booking & Check-in Issues: * Reservation originally showed 2 adults and 1 child -- we corrected this twice (via email and phone), but still arrived to find the wrong number listed and missing wristbands. * After addressing it at the office, an employee from the back (who hadn't been part of our conversation) loudly accused us of lying across the lobby. Extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. Thankfully, the staff member at the front counter resolved the issue. Canteen Inconsistencies: * Friday's ice cream experience was a pleasant surprise: generous portions and great value. * Saturday was a different story -- disorganized line, over 30 minutes of waiting, and significantly smaller portions for the same order. Other Observations: * Some activities were fun, but it felt like we were being nickeled and dimed: expensive gem mining bags, having to pay for mini golf balls, and constant unexpected upcharges. In summary, while the water attractions were great for our young kids, poor customer service, cleanliness issues, and lack of consistency made this stay more stressful than relaxing. We won't be returning. Anything else I need to add?

Maeghan brought a calm, organized, and reassuring presence that made a big difference for us. She helped keep everything moving smoothly and allowed us to truly relax and enjoy each moment. We had our Catholic nuptial mass which she was able to help keep us on timeline and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Then the second day, we had our Nigerian traditional. This can be intimidating for some but she handled big personalities and a big event with such grace. Ivory & Sage was also able to provide a beautiful charcuterie and basic florals for us, it was so nice to get things with one vendor. I believe she also offers decor. We're very thankful for her support and would happily recommend Ivory & Sage Weddings to couples looking for a thoughtful and dependable coordinator. 10/10!!!

One of the primary reasons we selected her company was because our venue required all vendors to be properly insured. Her scope of work included installing disco globes above the dance floor, hanging greenery vines on pillars and beams, and assisting with the setup of florals and candles for the reception tables, ceremony aisle, and cocktail area. Unfortunately, the setup process did not go as expected. Upon arrival, Meaghan was not present and instead sent members of her team, who did not bring a ladder capable of completing the installations. As a result, they were unable to begin work and stood idle for approximately an hour while a member of their staff went home to retrieve a ladder. Even then, the ladder was not tall enough to safely complete the job. At that point, rather than providing the proper equipment, Meaghan's team had my nephew climb the ladder and assist with hanging six of the thirty disco globes, commenting to him that if he loved his cousin (the groom) he would help. This was extremely concerning, as it violated venue requirements and raised questions regarding compliance with the insurance coverage that was one of the primary reasons we hired a professional decorating company in the first place. It also created an unnecessary safety risk for a family member who was not part of her staff. We expected a professional, insured vendor to arrive fully prepared with the necessary equipment and personnel to complete the contracted work safely and efficiently. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. She did have one member of the team that went above and beyond in helping set up the dining area. Her effort, attention to detail, and willingness to assist wherever needed were appreciated and helped ensure that portion of the event came together beautifully. I believe it is important to acknowledge her hard work, even though the overall experience fell short of our expectations. Instead of accepting that she fell through on what she was contracted for she kept bringing up things to point out that her staff helped load a few things and that it wasn't in the contract. Well it was the least they could do since the ceiling instillation was horrible. And they did it and we did not ask for the help. We ended up doing most of the work to just get something done.

After a second infraction I personally apologized and we shook hands and went on with an understanding from her that all was OK. Only to find out she reports to her board of this serious situation where we didn't obey her authority! Trust me the only situation here is the building in a violation of a state fire code that they don't want advertised. Very small and pedantic minded person to state we had no issue but after we have left and are miles away will in turn admonish you and abolish your reservation without any type of due process or knowledge other than the impersonal email. Absolutely abominable service behavior even if it wasn't towards decades long patrons. This new GM Kimberly is the complete antithesis of a service oriented person! She tells lies, will not resolve dangerous obstacles in patrons way, is not maintaining a good aesthetic to the building or grounds (overgrown vines and accumulating trash) and she does not fully report situations how they occurred. Very unprofessional! And to further show her lack of character, Kimberly invoked other long standing fine employees as part of the lie that she told her board. To the Garden Club: you to need to review the behaviors of your manager instead of revoking reservations. Maybe even ask around what Kimberly's nickname is amongst staff and citizens alike. Sad sad state of affairs at Excelsior. PS I write this in two states: having already spoken with Kimberly this morning trying to resolve this situation amicably and secondly fully knowing my reservation will be revoked too. I will certainly let you all know how this issue is further managed.

Our room is the Hayes Room which overlooks the roof and A/C unit. The real issue is our disappointment not to find all that your website promises. The room rate was quite expensive!

We've seen them at their best and at their worst…read more Two months ago, my husband and I ate here and LOVED it! We recommended to family to come here to celebrate three family birthdays. We had a 6:00 reservation for ten people. It was 7:00 before we received the chips and queso. It was also supposed to come with green sauce. I didn't want to ask for it because it would have taken even longer. Not to mention that we got two different kinds of cheese and chips. All of our meals trickled out over 45 minutes. Our drinks were empty for at half the time we were there. We were not paid out until 8:00. I will say, they comped most of our meals and drinks, for which I was thankful. My husband and I will probably try it again, but we won't bring a large group again.
