Writing this review as I am currently waiting to get my deposit back. We put our deposit down on 03/28 and have been ghosted by the company. I have called numerous times and sent numerous emails. I did get ahold of them once to which I was told" we'll be out shortly" I understand online further out, but if that was an issue it should have been discussed prior to accepting our deposit. I requested cancellation and still have not received our deposit back despite daily emails and phone calls. Use at your own risk read more

California custom iron transformed my stairs by creating a beautiful modern wrought iron stair railing to replace my outdated wood one. The quality and craftsmanship is outstanding. They were the only stair company in my area that could create what I wanted. I would use them again and recommend them without any hesitation. They are extremely professional, friendly and provide customer service that goes above and beyond. For example, when I attempted to stain the walnut handrail as a dyi, they came out, free of charge, to clean up some of the residue that I dripped on some of the rails. read more

Here is it, thanks for the amazing work! We are absolutely thrilled by the spiral stairs that California Custom Iron made for us! It has become a feature piece of our home and we get so many compliments from guests. California Custom Iron was the only provider who suggested are sending them our floorboards, so they could use them as treads to match our floors. This has made the biggest difference in helping us tie in the divide between our downstairs and upstairs. The quality is fantastic, feels very sturdy going up and down, and I could not recommend them more! California Custom Iron even sent me a face plate to make it look more attractive for where the stairs connect to the upper floor, these guys are just awesome and I'm so glad we chose them to make our stairs! We were extremely pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of a custom railing that California Custom Iron created for our tri-level backyard. David and Allen were particularly great to work with and they took the time to provide us with samples of finishes, styles of handrails, etc. The installation crew was professional and took particular attention to cleaning up after core drilling the main posts. There were unique characteristics they had to address, but after speaking with Allen, we had confidence enough to give him creative latitude. He didn't disappoint! My home photo studio/office needed an upgrade and California Custom Iron did our spiral stairs. I travelled to Sheridan, which is just outside Sacramento to check out the designs and make the final choice. It is a family own business and immediately you get the feel they are all about hard work and very, very precise craftsmanship. Our brushed metal stairs turned out stunning. We also got a deal on powder coating. If you are contemplating getting one of those online prefab metal stairs I have one advise for you: foret about it. Guys at Custom Iron di a fabulous custom job and they drove down to Southern California to install it. They do large projects in Bay area all the time, but I am sure they will not turn a small residential project. Strongly recommended! read more

No other local iron fabricators wanted to take this on but David, Allen, and the crew did a fabulous job for us. The results are better than we imagined. They deserve five stars and more. read more

I'm owner of a B&B in Calistoga, and I want to tell the world how California Custom Iron in Sheridan gave me hope and solutions!!! Our 2012 winter remodeling was turning into a nightmare due to unscrupulous and incompetent contractors. Considerable delay, No stairs, impossible to terminate the upper floor, reopening date postponed several time. We had to take decisions and look for competent and professional guys. California Custom Iron family were the first to answer to my SOS, were on site the day after, at night, and due to my pressure on them accepted to deliver and install a complete stair 3 weeks later. what was my surprise one day when I saw Allen coming to the INN, about 10 days before the deadline. what are you doing? coming to take some more measurements? NO! we are coming to install the whole stair! he answered me. I couldn't believe what was happening. It was the more happy day of the last 3 months. In less than 6 hours the whole stair was installed, we were reoppening the INN some days after ... Janice and Allen manage a great team and they are wonderful, effective, helpful, honest. We were desesperate and now I'm proud to tell and tell again this story to my guests completely amazed at this magnificent staircase!!! read more
