Their admin person is very responsive and got back to me right away to schedule an estimate for our project, which consisted of a lot of smaller stuff on a new home. The estimator was scheduled to come out between 12 and 1 on Monday, August 24. We hurried back from a camping trip to make it on time. When he didn't arrive by 1:13, I followed up. I got a call right away saying he couldn't make it until around 3. 3:00 rolled around and I get another call saying he couldn't make it until 4:30. Third time's the charm, I guess - he did finally show up at the end of the day, walked the project, and said they would love to handle it for us. He promised an itemized bid by Thursday. Thursday rolled around. Crickets. Friday. Nothing. I emailed again on Sunday to check on the status of the quote, and got an email back Monday morning saying, "The proposal is still in progress on our end. However, I just reached out to the estimator for an update on when it is expected to be completed. Our proposals typically take 3-5 business days, so you should receive it sometime this week." Fast forward to the end of Friday and still nothing. 9 business days, no quote, no updates, after completely blowing the initial appointment. Very disappointing.

Our Hardie Board…read moresiding contractor referred Eugene to us when we needed major deck work, which involved our existing waterproof membrane on a large section of our upper deck over a downstairs room, as well as repairing our deck boards and railing. Eugene was patient and thoughtful as we discussed various options to maintain and protect the waterproof membrane and strengthen the structural integrity of our expansive decks on a hillside. He was mindful of our budget and, as a general contractor, identified and repaired another area in our crawlspace. He came up with creative solutions, and he has a great sense of design and style. We ended up replacing our upper deck with Trex composite boards. On the lower deck, his crew replaced most of the redwood boards and repainted the deck, even the wooden joists of the upper deck, for both wood preservation and aesthetic purposes.
