KUDOS to a super Fantastic Fence team-- Mario and Jesus. They just finished a 2.5 hr "fix-it" job (12/11/25) and deserve this POSITIVE review which will also caution readers against doing business with Superior Fence & Rail (SF&R)-- the company that left me with a "fix-it" list. SF&R came on 11/14/25 to replace an old privacy fence, extend its height and length, remove and replace a locking gate. (drawing attached). I became aware of a few structural and workmanship shortfalls then sent email and text to Uday Kodoly, CEO/General Manager/Owner of SF&R - C-13 License 1129331, asking him to please come to the job site to review missed concerns. I was very disappointed by the dismissive nature of this SF&R franchise owner; he refused to come to the site to see for himself if I was correct in my concerns. The following information reflects notes taken on what had to be done by my second Contractor, Fantastic Fence. After Action Review notes with Fantastic Fence Team Member, Mario, December 11, 2025: 1. Reversed one full panel to gain the opening depth needed for the neighbor's chain-link gate fully swing and latch to a metal post. 2. Reverse additional panels (about 14 feet of length) in order to follow the property line. 3. Realign metal hinges on the neighbor's chain-link gate, which SF&R's team banged with a hammer to swivel them in an effort to gain the 1.5 inch needed after they infringed on their property line. Did they even test the gate before they left? Perhaps they were hoping that no one would notice or care? This left the neighbor with a gate that only swung into their driveway and not out the other way. *** Fantastic Fence totally fixed it so that it now swings both backward and forward. Perhaps this is because they had right tools AND talent with them. 4. Attached a metal post to accept the chain-link fence latch allowing the neighbor to lock their gate as it was before SF&R came. 5. After digging around the base of the fourth panel support post in order to assess why it was shaking with very little pressure applied, we found structural shortcuts (see videos). ***** Fantastic Fence Team found that SF&R had cut the inner support post too short. This reduced its structural integrity and strength. Fantastic Fence Team Member, Mario, had to solder on an extension piece of post while Jesus continue to work on the original post hole to gain more depth and circumference for a proper amount of QuikCrete. With the support post welded, they were able to reset it back in the same hole. Now it's properly set at 2 feet deep not 4 inches which is where Superior Fence & Rail set it. 6. Three fence pickets were cut at the dog-eared tops in order to accommodate a tree branch. This modification, along with flipping that panel like you would when making a back-and-forth panel "good neighbor design", is all it took to maintain the property line and to have the room needed in order to secure the neighbor's chain-link gate. It is now working perfectly! I highly recommend Fantastic Fence I will now prepare a filing with small claims court to recoup the additional. $625.00 I had to pay to fix the errors left by SF&R read more

Jesus and Jose did a Fantastic job, truly above and beyond. Fantastic Fence scheduled us right away, they communicated every step during the estimate process (check your spam folders, folks!) and the rest could not have been easier for us. Everyone we talked to both on the phone and met with were absolutely delightful to work with. This project had a fair amount of potential challenges between river rock, utility lines, and the clown next door. The material they use is high-quality and the cost is extremely reasonable. I feel so much safer having this fence now. We have a neighbor who sucks, absolutely the worst. Wouldn't stop trespassing, stomping on or decorating around our water meter, reaching over the fence that was there, and constantly being at property line despite having a 15 ft criminal stay away order. She even called the company to try and stop us from putting a fence on our property because she thinks our water meter belongs on her property, it doesn't. The entire team was on it immediately and we got the whole thing sorted in record time. Helpful fun fact: If you want to change a property line 10 years after your own landscaper set it up and suddenly decide to steal 5 feet of your neighbor's property, the burden of proof is on you to get a survey and a clue. read more

Their attention to the matter was professional, quick and we are pleased with the end result. update 1 11/22/25: We appreciate that the company has now responded. Will update the review once the issue is resolved. original post 11/22/25: We hired Superior to build a retaining wall at the same time another company was pouring concrete for a walkway. We asked them beforehand whether the fence or the concrete should go in first. They advised and proceeded with the retaining wall first. Two major problems came up: The new wall wasn't aligned with the old one, and we had to ask them to come back and fix it. The bigger issue: the concrete used to set the posts now sits about a foot above our new walkway. It's an eyesore and a real safety hazard -- our kids ride their bikes on that path, and if one were to fall and hit the exposed concrete, it could be very dangerous. We've made multiple attempts to contact the company, but they've ignored our calls. We are still waiting for them to make good on their service and resolve this issue. Based on our experience -- poor workmanship, lack of accountability, and no follow-up -- I would not recommend this company. read more
