Dr Canchola and his staff are amazing! I'm not one to write reviews, but everyone there is so caring, got to get the word out for anyone looking for a dentist. The Dr. is efficient and precise, yet very caring. The front office with Bree whom I dealt with is very customer service oriented, she aims to please. DO NOT GO HERE! "Doctor" Canchola was the most heavy handed and unprofessional dentist I've ever met in my life. I went to see them after calling a bunch of different Dentist they are the ones that took my insurance. I wish I took time to read reviews. Every horrible thing that anybody has written I definitely experienced. Let's start off with getting the x-rays done. One of the dental assistants took about 20 minutes to take photos of my teeth. After the initials 20 minutes, a different assistant had came and redone all of the photos because the first ones came out too blurry. When I'm at the doctor he had told me that he could see a few cavities that I needed and we could start them today. When I asked any follow-up questions about sensitivity, he told me that he can only fix what he could see. His answers did not make any sense and honestly I should've made this my second red flag. we ended up doing the same day. I was the only patient in the entire office. Getting the filling was so excruciatingly painful. He pinched and cut my lip With these silver metal tooth clamps that look like they were from a dental history museum. Even after I had told him that I was in pain he did not stop. The assistant , who was also the receptionist at the time, kept suctioning my tongue and lip. Numerous times I was concerned that I was going to choke on my own saliva, or the water that she was pouring down my throat. as I was getting my filling done, another office assistant started mopping the floors LITERALLY by my feet AS I WAS GETTING THE FILLING! I do not understand how that could even be sanitary. Upon leaving I was in so much pain, the dentist gave me zero aftercare instructions, and I did not get a copy of a single piece of paperwork. I had asked the assistant if porcelain white fillings were covered by my insurance and she assured me that it was. However, after I had to go down in personally request copies of my treatment plan, and whatever they did. The insanely rude and disrespectful receptionist (in the photo I posted along with the review) had printed a single paper (not what I asked for) and essentially tossed it to me over the counter. Come to find out they used a resin composite and not the porcelain. The material actually does not last as long as the porcelain and has cancer causing products in it. Fast forward to two weeks later I had gone to a different dentist. The new Dentist was absolutely phenomenal. He squeeze me in between patients and was able to see that Doctor Canchola had seriously damaged my tooth. He drilled so deeply into my tooth that it hit the nerve, and the nerve was actively rotting. I now have to get a root canal and a crown to try and hopefully save my tooth. Looking at his yelp and Google reviews after the fact, there are plenty of negative reviews about how negligent his practice is. The positive reviews are quite short, do not provide a lot of information, and many of them actually have the same last name so I wouldn't be suprise that they are fake reviews done by family and friends. Unless you want to put up with poor dental work, disrespectful employees, and an incredible amount of pain, misery, and waste of money .... I'd go somewhere else . He should be reported for malpractice. read more

I think there's a lack of professionalism by Dr. Canchola to say the least. I was never presented with an official plan telling me the entirety of the work that I needed done. He asked me if I wanted to get some of it done the same day. I asked him what exactly do I need done, which he said "a lot". I asked how much it would be. He proceeded by yelling across the room to the receptionist, "if I was covered by my medical insurance?" In front of everyone. It was embarrassing. Isn't this a HIPPA violation? That's my personal information. And proves my point about his unprofessionalism. Since he said I was covered, I agreed for him to work on the three fillings. He didn't wait long enough for me to be fully numb so I felt the pain right off the bat. And boy does he have a heavy hand. He gave me another shot and had me wait cus he was working on another patient. He then continued to work on me and started putting these clamps on my teeth and he use so much force my jaw was starting to hurt. At the time he was removing them, he used so much force to take it out that he hit my tooth and nose. And I was so mad but all I was able to do was sit through it because he had another one in my mouth. And he blamed it on my crooked teeth. And keep in mind, he's having a personal conversation with his assistant the entire time. When he was done they both acted like nothing happened. And I said that I'm going to leave worse than I came in. And he said, "all I can say is sorry". This was a traumatizing event and most of all humiliating. I have neeeeeever had a horrible experience as I did with Dr. Canchola. I didn't know whether to make an appointment again or not. The receptionist was the one who told me I needed 3 root canals, 1 crown, 6+ fillings.... it sounds like they want to milk the insurance. I saw the cut on my nose when I got in my car. I also had some bruising on my gums from the clamps. UNBELIEVABLE! I understand we all have bad days but this one was one for the books. Never going back. read more

I went in for a check up and they told me I had 8 cavaties and that I could only do 2 at a time. I decided to go to Western dental for a second opinion(I had just gotten cavaties filled 6 months prior) and they told me that I had no cavaties. I mentioned what this dentist told me and they said they were probably just going to change my metal cavaties for tooth-colored cavaties with my insurance money. I've been a patient here for years after not having a Dentist for some time and I highly recommend this place. Doctor is kind and professional. My teeth are in great shape under his care, he even helped me safely following protocols during my pregnancies. My husband also received alot of dental work here and is in great shape now. Don't go here. The Dentist messed up my teeth badly. The front girl has a bad attitude. I went in to get my teeth cleaned while pregnant. One lady took x-rays kept leaning on me the whole time. Get off me! She also kept taking blurry pictures and didn't know what she was doing so wasted a lot of my time and was putting me in pain. When I got my teeth cleaned the dentist only did half my mouth. Wtf. And this was without seeing a dentist for 2 years and they knew that. The main dentist the Hispanic man will lean on you the whole time he's working on you. He has no compassion and doesn't care about your pain sensitivity or if he's hurting you, he just keeps going. Even when you're clearly in pain. He also speaks Spanish the whole time and pays more attention to his assistants than you the client. I had to get a few fillings and he jacked up my teeth so bad it hurt to eat or feel temperatures for many months. I still haven't been to a dentist since then because of it. The girl receptionist is on a power trip and rolled her eyes at me with a rotten attitude because I guess the rehab I was at at the time was supposed to give me a paper to bring in or something. God knows what but completely unacceptable. She would also further implement this power trip by not letting us bring our phones in because one person (whom is not ME) from the rehab was obnoxious. And clearly she was hiding this power trip and implementing her own rules from the Dentist because when I asked her about it she tried to shut me up when he walked in the room. I had to have a phone with me being pregnant and in a vulnerable situation yet she chose to strip away my safety and basic human rights. Power tripping and evil people who want to cause harm. If you value your teeth and your body and life don't come here. Oh yea and the main dentist pulled out so many teeth from clients at rehab. That was his first go to no matter what. Went back to get treatment done after a year.Worst service ever! I do not recommend this office. Dr is nice but office is to over crowded and appointments are never on time. Rude and disrespectful assistant in back. What happened to all the nice assistants that used to be there? Young ladies in the front do not make you feel welcome. Right away when you enter the office you start feeling a bad vibe. When female from the front went to speak to the doctor while he was going to do my treatment he was staring at her like if he was undressing her with his eyes. Not a good feeling to be there. Female in front is to provocative. I noticed the doctor didn't really focus on his work after seeing her.
