Please save yourself the money, time, and pain. I had a cavity filling done here on a tooth that had never caused me any pain before. Unfortunately, I ended up dealing with pain for 2 and a half years afterward. I was very scared of dentists, so I kept putting off going back and just lived with the pain. When I finally went to another dentist for a professional check up's, I was told that the cavity had not been properly treated and that I now needed a root canal because the decay had reached the nerve. I'm extremely disappointed that something that could have been treated with a filling ended up becoming a much bigger and more painful issue. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend finding another dental and carefully considering your options before getting treatment here. Please save yourself the money and the pain. read more

While inside an abusive nursing home her teeth disappeared and her health and nutrition were suffering evenly. I needed a broken tooth pulled ASAP. I found them via Google in the morning and they got me in that afternoon. Office is nice and clean while still being welcoming and cozy. Every staff member was very kind, compassionate and not once did I feel I was being judged or looked down on. I get anxious for extractions and tend to need A LOT of numbing, but they were very understanding and helped me through it (plus the actual extraction took about 45 seconds, if that it was AMAZING). A really nice part about this office is that they don't do high pressure sales for dental debt or make it seem impossible to get work done but rather they work with you to get the work done (and they don't just focus on the most expensive procedures either which was a relief!). I will absolutely be back here and I am happy to make them my new primary dentist. read more

I usually do not write reviews but since my experience getting treated at Cleopatra Dental's Riverside office by Dr. Engy Halim was hostile and unprofessional during my last two visits, I feel sharing this review and my experience there is warranted. During my second to last visit with Dr. Engy Halim, she made a snap judgement on my character and assumed I was accusing Cleopatra Dental of scamming. During that visit I initially returned to have a new temporary crown placed as the previous one had fallen off. I followed up with the assistants up front to schedule a filling that the assistants previously advised they would check with the dentist to see if it was on my plan before scheduling as they didn't see it show up on their system. They went back and forth with me that they didn't see a filling needed and it wasn't until I showed them the treatment plan, they provided me previously, that showed a filling on the plan that they looked deeper into it then said they saw a filling needed for a different # tooth, which wasn't the case. After I expressed confusion, the Dr. came out, inquired and offered to take an x-ray to show me that the filling on my treatment plan had already been done the appt I had my crown preps done. I took her up on the offer as it wasn't out of the ordinary for my other dentists unprompted to walk me through and show me the work they had done right after the treatment, in fact it was procedure at my previous dentist's office to show me the x-rays and check in with me after the work was done each appt. During the x-ray process, one of the assistants pointed out the wrong tooth again and I just grew more confused. I spoke with Dr. Engy Halim and cleared it up then I thanked her for the reassurance as it was not mentioned to me that a filling was done that visit and was grateful. At the end of it she expressed hostile and unprofessional behavior and told me in an upset tone "We are not scamming anybody here!". After that visit, she dropped me as a patient during my last appointment for the final crown delivery and referred me to a list of other dentists to resume her remaining recommended treatments. She was defensive and not receptive to hearing my side of the story and said that in the future I need to speak with the dentists and not just the assistants even though I was in direct communication with her too. To clarify, I never at any point said they were scamming anyone or accused them of any fraud or wrongdoing, I was always polite, understanding, and kind throughout every single visit and question so this entire experience has left me shocked as this has never happened to me at any medical or dental establishment before. I even gave them the benefit of the doubt and said maybe I just didn't hear them mention the filling was being done that day to be polite. The only reason I had to change dentists was because I moved and needed local dental treatment, my previous dentist can attest that I am a respectful, polite, and loyal patient and again if it wasn't for my moving to a different city, I would have still been a patient with them. I understand others probably have a great experience and maybe the Dr. was just having a bad day and just made a snap judgement then decided to drop me as a patient after, but here is my review from my own experience at Cleopatra Dental Riverside Office and in my opinion from the experience I had if you are the type of person to even just ask about the work that was done on you to at any moment you should ever become confused about work being done TO YOUR OWN MOUTH and ask the dentist about it, I hope Dr. Engy Halim can treat you with respect and professional behavior as that was not my experience the last two visits. EDIT TO RESPOND TO BUSINESS REPLY: I wanted to make it clear, again, I never accused Dr. Engy Halim or anyone at Cleopatra Dental of scamming and I never made any threats or used any foul language so I'm not sure why they included that language in their responses. I was nothing but kind and polite throughout each of my visits which is why Dr. Engy Halim's unprofessional behavior was so shocking. My review is honest and true to my experience during my treatments at Cleopatra Dental Riverside Office with Dr. Engy Halim. The defensive response seen here by the business as they ignore the fact that I never made any accusations and never made any threats in person during my visits is the same behavior I experienced during my last two visits with Dr. Engy Halim, unwarranted hostility for just wanting to politely clear up my confusion about work they did to my mouth. I wrote the same review here and on google as they are my true experience so I'm not sure why they wrote "every platform", btw these are platforms to review, my reviews are allowed wherever I am allowed to review. read more

I can't even express how thankful my family and I are for all the staff at Cleopatra Dental. We are visiting from Hawaii and my dad's dentures broke in half the night before. They were quick to respond to make an appointment for us the next day. They saw us in the morning and were very friendly the moment we walked through the door. They took my dad in right away. Dr George Mirsal explained everything and was great and patient with explaining to my dad his choices (Dad is hard of hearing and ESL). They were quick and were even able to get it done sooner so we can be on our way to oogie boogie nights at Disney to meet family who flew down from the Bay Area. Love this dentist! The fact that I don't have to look for babysitter for my other kids when I come here is amazing in itself. So much stuff to entertain the kids with while the other gets treatment. I'm a disabled senior -- not that Cleopatra knew that when I made an appointment. Because something made a big claim on my attention on the day of the appointment, I completely forgot about it. This was no doubt irritating to the office, but I'm sure such lapses have occurred scores of times before. I left a message apologizing, then, a couple of days later, called to reschedule. A friendly voice said she would look for a suitable appointment and went off to do so. I waited. And waited. It was obvious that she wouldn't be coming back. I ended the call and dialed in again. Busy signal. Second attempt. Busy signal. One more time: ditto. This was odd, since any professional practice responds with a message when the line is busy. The reality of the situation had become obvious: I had been a no-show on a single occasion and had been declared persona non grata, to be banished to the outer reaches of purgatory. I sent in an email speculating that this was office policy: one strike and you're out. But just in case it wasn't, I renewed my request for an appointment. Surprise, no response! Clearly, I'd hit a bullseye in my conclusion. So, whoever you are and whatever your circumstances, you'd better be sure you make that appointment. An immediate assumption will be made about your character, and the door will be locked against you. Whether one can infer anything about the spirit of the place from this behavior, I'll leave others to judge. read more

My first Visit was very pleasant from the moment I checked in. Staff very warm and welcoming. Dr. George did my exam and while I was mentally prepared to be told I was going to need a full mouth of unnecessary treatment, Dr. George was very conservative. He told me I what I needed (one filling and a cleaning) and even took some time to smooth out some rough edges I had from grinding. I've been to other dental offices where they want to propose full mouth reconstruction for thousands of dollars which is fine for those seeking that kind of treatment. However, for me I was only interested in receiving routine/basic care which I received. I felt great walking out after my first appointment. read more

Dr. Kwon is the best. She always remembers me and my wife. The staff also! AMAZING!! Very professional and I'm so glad we found them. I had a terrible doctor before and Dr. Kwon is great. The best thing about Dr. Kwon is that she doesn't do "guess" work. I told her my tooth is hurting and I thought it was a cavity. She said it could be a couple of things but didn't want to just start drilling and to wait two to three days. After the fourth day, I went back with no pain. I guess it was nothing and just in my head. She didn't charge me to check and double check. Update: I've been with Dr. Kwon for about 4 years now and still very satisfied with her and her staff. I have had a number of issues over that time, largely due to my age, old dental work done by my previous dentist, and a genetic propensity for dental problems, and Dr. Kwon has done everything possible to minimize my issues. She watches my dental condition over time and recommends the best path for me to take to prevent problems down the road. Horrible and unprofessional. Starts off when I called to schedule new patient appointment for the family and they stated that they accept my insurance. Reception said that first appointments are for X-rays only. Told them that I can't take off work to schedule another appointment for cleaning. Receptionist said that it was fine and she would let dentist know. Once we came into office, Dr Kwon already had this sour face on her because she was informed that we came in for a second opinion since we had a bad experience from another dentist in Corona. She was upset about the insurance, the X-rays, the whole family being seen at once. She straight out told me that she doesn't typically allow appointments with the whole family cause it takes up too much of her time!!! Is she serious?? I'm sure she's great at her job but she was super quick at cleaning and checking our teeth which I'm not so sure was very thorough. She was surprise to see that we all had good teeth which made me believe that she thought we were going to have horrible hygiene or something. Anyhow, I was just happy that we found a place to take my insurance cause it was hard to even find one that was decent and honest. Last dentist we went to was dishonest and was lying to us to get more money. So, this time I made an appointment for the family on a Monday during spring break since my son is out of school. My husband and I had to take off work to make it on time to the appointment since they aren't open on weekends. Reception calls me on Friday to confirm my appointment. I confirm. On Monday, half an hour before the appointment she calls to tell me that they no longer accept my insurance. Are you kidding me???!!! She says to me that I'm more than welcome to come see the Dr and pay private without using my insurance. Why would I do that? I pay for insurance so I can use it. Are these people serious? What kind of business are they running here? Why is it so hard to find a decent and honest dentist to take HMO insurance? read more

My family and I have been going here for a couple of years. We have always been satisfied. Dr. Kwon is a straight forward honest dentist. She doesn't try to up sell you on all these procedures you don't need. No she isn't the friendliest dentist but I rather have that than a super friendly dentist that makes up stuff that isn't there to get your money. We've had one so I know that they are out there. The hygienist is just awesome. I love her and she cleans my teeth as painlessly as possible. The office staff is always friendly and polite and have always fit us in when we had a dental emergency. I relocated from Northern CA in 2014 and had a difficult time finding a female dentist that accepted Kaiser Medicare Dental. I am happy to have finally found Dr. Kwon and her team. Cancer treatment has caused long term side effects including intolerance for anything hot or spicy on my tongue.
