California Diversion Programs, Inc. is hands-down the most disorganized, unprofessional, and downright incompetent company I've ever dealt with. From day one, it's been nothing but lies, confusion, and careless mistakes that have dragged out what should've been a simple process into over a year-long disaster. I enrolled in May 2024 for a 6-month program while 4 months pregnant. I specifically asked Amanda what would happen if I gave birth before finishing. She told me, "You'll be done by September." That should've been my first clue this place didn't know what it was doing -- but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Come September 2024, I have my last face-to-face with Amanda. She tells me I'm finished, submits my completion to the DMV, and gives me instructions for paperwork. Two weeks later, I get a letter from the DMV saying I completed a 3-month program instead of a 6-month one. I had confirmed countless times with Amanda that I was in a 6-month program. When I called to ask what happened, her response was literally "Oops." That's it. No apology, no accountability, nothing -- just an "oops." At this point, I'm weeks away from giving birth. They tell me I can go on a leave of absence as long as I need and I specifically ask, "Do I need to provide documentation?" They tell me no. Every single time I extended my leave (January, April, July 2025), I confirmed again -- and every single time I was told no paperwork needed. I even have the emails from Amanda confirming this. Then out of nowhere, in July 2025, I get an email saying I'm being terminated unless I provide a doctor's note. The same Amanda who told me repeatedly that I didn't need one suddenly acts like I'm in the wrong. I had to go back and forth with her for weeks -- and let me tell you, her attitude is beyond unprofessional. Condescending, dismissive, and rude every single time. After all that, she finally "allows" me to re-enroll to complete the 6-month program -- which would've never even been necessary if she had enrolled me in the correct program in the first place. I finished my program at the beginning of September 2025. It's now the end of October, and I still don't have my completion paperwork. Every time I call, I get a different answer: * Gabriel says I owe $120 * Maria says I owe nothing * Amanda says "It's being sent today" -- which is a lie, because it never is. Now they claim I owe $160 even though I've paid $940 of the $1000 total. Gabriel insists I owe "no-show" fees -- fees I already paid, and I have proof. I even sent him the receipts, and his response was, "I don't need proof." Excuse me? That's not how business works. Here's the kicker: when they mistakenly closed me out as "complete" in the 3-month program, they wouldn't have submitted my completion if I actually owed money. So his logic makes zero sense. This entire place is a joke. No one communicates, no one takes responsibility, and they all seem allergic to doing their jobs correctly. Emails go unanswered, calls are brushed off with "we're busy," and every single person gives you different information. I want my money refunded so I can restart somewhere else, because clearly this place is being run by people who shouldn't even be trusted with paperclips. Avoid this place like your life depends on it. I'm not exaggerating when I say jail would've been a smoother, more respectful experience. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Gabriel has got to be the worst, most incompetent worker I've ever encountered. I told him over the phone I work on certain days and can only attend group classes Thursday or Saturdays. He ensured me he'd have me in those classes. I was put in Tuesday classes (a day I work). I have tried to call him nonstop daily for 3 weeks. Now all my calls are forwarded to voicemail. I have emailed and texted the hotlines. I was told he monitors all communications (SADLY). Not only was a being charged per absences, I am being set back weeks on finishing this program. This is an excuse that the courts WILL NOT understand or care about. I have been professional at every turn and tried to keep a level head but to have ONLY ONE point of contact for this portion of things, and for that ONE person to never answer calls, texts, emails or anything is just unacceptable. He is unorganized, non responsive and sadly the only person who can fix any scheduling, billing or completion errors. I attached an email that I sent the first week and of course was never responded to. PLEASE RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. It's the cheapest and easiest to get into (take your money) for a reason. They are counting on you being desperate enough to ignore these reviews and go with them anyway for time sake. The absolute worst place to go! Absolutely moronic people work the front offices. They are incapable of being decent human beings, belittle you and have generally no idea what they are doing! They sent me on a wild goose chase for 2 months about a document, Insistently telling me I needed to go do something that was unattainable and turns out, I did not need apparently! It took a lovely woman somewhere else 2 minutes to tell me the correct information and boom! Im enrolled elsewhere, immediately! The female who answered was a condescending twatwaffle ! And if any of these people are in recovery of any kind, as some say here, it does NOT show! What they lack in knowledge, they do NOT make up with professionalism or kindness. This place is atrocious they host the groups via zoom and are looking for any reason to kick you out of the group so you have to pay penalty for the missed group. They state you can't have anyone in the room with you while you are taking the group because of anonymity and I understand that but I was kicked from one for having my 2 month old son. Seriously?? Because he's going straight to the gossip mill with everyone's info and socials right? Second time I was booted for smoking.... Now that would be all fine and dandy if I was made aware of this rule. No warning, no advisement regarding rules nothing at all. I strongly urge against going here I literally have never seen a place so blatantly immoral in all my time. This is the WORST DUI program I have ever heard of. The instructor Ray is extremely racist towards Hispanics. He will purposely kick you out of classes so you pay penalties, he will purposely not let you into classes even with proof of being on time, and he kicks you out even for yawning. Cool program. The ladies are sweethearts and Ray is cool. Take it seriously and you will have a great time.

If you fall upon this program... RUN!!! To start off, their main instructor, Ray, is abusive, racist, and prejudiced. He will find anyway to make this program harder for you and to hold back your hours. He quote on quote told students to "get as f*cked up as they want but do not drive." If you do not agree with him or report him, he forces you to apologize to him in front of the whole class or he will threaten to drop you. After sitting on zoom for the same spot for weeks, he decided to start bullying me and harassing me about it during the program. I have begged Amanda and Yvette to send me over my contracts that I have a legal right to but they will either say they cannot do it because the email would be too large or they will hang up on you. I believe this is a bootleg, fake program and is illegal. They now tell me that my original enrollment fee of $70 is not the real enrollment fee because I want to transfer to a different program even though the full program payment plan is listed on the website which I have posed as well. Beware, THEY LIE ON REPORTS AND ABOUT MONEY. Do not give these people a dime, let alone enroll with them from the start. Biggest mistake of my life. The first time I came here for a short amount of time and didn't mind the classes because I messed up and was ready to take the consequences. I had let my drinking get the best of me. I had to take a longer 18 month course (for a second DUI) which they do not offer but they enrolled me for anyways. I paid around 600 for enrollment. About 6 weeks into the program the director and main lady in charge told me I can no longer attend classes and had to transfer to another center that offered the 18month program I needed. She told me I would only get a 47$ refund and I find that much of the time and money I spent would NOT transfer over like they claimed it would. After having to pay an additional 100 dollars just to transfer. I waited months for my refund to come in and nothing. I called asking about the refund and the assistant told me I had to speak with her manager. The manager called me later and asked with an attitude what I wanted. I called her out for not sending my refund and she blamed it on her assistant who had not been apart of our relocation conversation. I called her a theif and told her I would be coming in to speak with her the next day. When I arrived the next morning I had to get a POLICE ESCORT to get a receipt. They kept threatening to call the police so I did it for them. So if this happens to you get a hold of the California DMV mandatory actions unit.
