We were asked for payment prior to receiving the service. This should have been the first red flag. If we received 25 hours of her time that would be a generous estimation. She was always busy and took on way to many jobs at one time. Communization was awful. We ended up making 80% of the decisions ourselves because the contractors needed answers and she was unavailable. She never came to see the finished product.

The designer never followed through after her visit and nothing was ever done to actually start my project. I received nothing for my deposit. As the party date approached and they were unresponsive I realized I could not count on them to help so I had to go in a different direction completely on my own to get work done. Once my date came and went I called the owner to explain the situatuon. The owner actually blamed me for not being more forceful in making them do their job. I could not believe she was actually blaming me for their lack of effort and professionalism. I asked for my deposit back since nothing was done and she refused. After much arguing she agreed to pay half back. Months later I still have NOT received even the half. I own a buisness...I would never treat a customer like I was treated. Mistakes might happen.. but not refunding once a mistake happens shows horrible buisness practice. I learned a lesson..never give a check for a deposit. Once cashed they are gone.
