I was sent to another representative who showed me the faucet recommended by the contractor. I chose one in one color and he said they only had it in another color. I said thank you and proceeded to leave when another man scolded the second man and told him he had one in my color. The second man picked it up and wrote me a slip. The third man said he was giving me a 30% discount. Well, upon installation the faucet didn't work and the shop wouldn't give a refund. In addition, the amount he charged me with a 30% discount was more than I would have paid at Menards. Luckily the contractor got the piece to fix it. Horrible experience.

They rushed us to get in and meet with the Construction manager on July 9th to confirm and sign our for our finishesand upgrades so they could start building. We were supposed to break ground 2 weeks after that. That did not happen. On August 31, they finally begin excavating for our basement. On October 8, the beams were placed for the basement. On October 27, all of the wood was dropped for the framing. The wood sat outside in the rain and under snow until the framers finally began construction on December 4! The excuse we were given was that the framers had other jobs they were working on and Providence couldn't get them out there. Of course, Providence also tried to blame it on the weather, but if one goes back to look at the weather reports, most of the weather for those two months was amazing! As of writing this post on May 2, 2019, Providence is still not done with our home. This is not a custom home, it is a cookie cutter home. There is no excuse that this house is not completed as of yet. When walking through the home, there were red tags from the Crown Point inspector. This is a home that Providence builds over and over and over again, yet they are still getting red tags from the inspector?! I am so frustrated and wish I had never gone with Providence. I have been living with my mother, with my two teenage kids since September of last year because we were told the home would be completed by January, possibly December. My daughter's senior year has been completely ruined by being displaced for so long. DO NOT USE Providence to build your home!

So, I am a loan officer with a brokerage firm and I have pre-approved customers that want to…read morepurchase from this builder in Indiana. The builder will not even consider anything without making my customer get pre-approved through their lender. This is a highly illegal practice and a RESPA violation. The builder also offers buyer incentives, but won't even say what the incentives are unless the buyer is using their in house lender. It is also illegal and a RESPA violation for a builder to offer an incentive, but take that incentive away if you refuse to use their in house lender. I found all this out before I looked at any reviews on here, so I didn't know how bad this builder is with their actual qualify of construction. I probably would have recommended the borrower move on to other homes if I had realized just how shady and truly awful this builder appears to be. I will definitely not be including this builder with any recommendations to customers in the future. I also hold Home Buyer Seminars in NW Indiana and I will be making sure to tell attendees specifically to avoid this builder in the future!

This cost me over $3k to take out a load bearing wall to account for this mistake and pushed my project back. We have been missing some items such as toe kicks and the skin for our fridge. Now this is the last straw. This is how they sent our cabinets and insist it's not drawn on with marker. They refuse to allow any returns to get our money back. DON'T SHOP HERE! The employees were all very skilled and professional. The Porter county inspector was so impressed with the plumbing done by Jerry and the electric done by Tom he asked for their names. The work done by Ruben was incredible, he did the cabinets, bathroom, closets and flooring. His was such a nice man and did the most detailed work Ive ever had done. When he finished for the day he cleaned the area and took any garbage with him. At the end of the job he even vacuumed and moped the floor. The project managers Mike and Phil had one goal, making me happy. Never once did they try charging me for anything extra or up selling outside of our contract. These guys are the real deal and if you need a project done I would call them last.
