The California Flower Mall is not the same as the Original Los Angeles Flower Market. This one is open seven days a week, and I do like that there is a small private lot. A lot of the vendors have small stalls and offer similar selections of flowers and plants. One of my favourites to visit is Moon Atelier, which is its own standalone location and offers a variety of orchids and house plants for very good prices. The staff there are also very friendly. Depending on when you go throughout the year, I would imagine other flowers might have seasonal availability. Overall, it is a nice visit if you are in the Flower District. read more

The owner and her staff have shown a complete lack of professionalism and customer service. I placed a pre-paid order for funeral flower arrangements well in advance for my loved one's service. However, on the day of the funeral, the flowers were never delivered. She was supposed to arrive at 9:30 AM, but by 9:50 AM, she still had not shown up. Not once did she contact us to inform us of any delay or issue. We had to call her, and when we did, she seemed completely unaware of the situation and was vague and evasive in her responses. Despite claiming she was on her way at 9:35 AM to her shop, the funeral service had already begun, and I was on the phone with her while trying to say my final goodbyes to my loved one. I paid for a service that was never provided. She made no effort to resolve the issue, and even when I requested a refund, she couldn't locate my order details. Her lack of accountability and professionalism was astounding. Furthermore, she never once apologized for the immense inconvenience she caused my family during such an emotional time. Instead, it was clear that her priority was profit, not providing any real customer care. In the end, we had to rush to a local store to buy last-minute flowers, which took valuable time away from grieving and being with our family. I strongly advise against doing business with her. She clearly does not understand how to run a business, nor does she care about her customers' needs. read more

Went to the flower mall on a Sunday. Free parking and less people. There's a lot of choices and vendors but not as big as the flower district. No entrance fee so it's a win win. Rating it 3 since the place I got my peonies has good selection and pricing but the owner is just straight RUDE and MEAN. Store name: Liz MA (M&A) flowers. I asked if I can extra discount since I'm getting 6 bundles and more. But she said no with a sassy tone and smirking face. She took the flowers from my hand and said "you can leave them". Wow! 10/10 rude. Good thing I have thick skin and I'm used to people like this and I brought my "A GAME FACE" since it's a wholesale place and I came head to haggle and get the best price. I grabbed it back and smiled to her unflattering face and said "aaaww bummer! I thought I could get them less than $8 per bundle. Tried. But I'll take it". Wow! This was our first time visiting.... For our 36th anniversary. Flowers are fresh, beautifully arranged, and inexpensively priced. We bought two little orchids for $2 a piece and picked up 4 stems of mini pumpkins on a stem for only $5! Great places to purchase flowers for any occasion. We were there on Tuesday from 10 am to 2pm, so parking wasn't difficult and shops weren't crowded. read more

Stopped by this market just to see if they have any cheap indoor plants. The first store I came upon, is located on the left at the entrance. There is a sweet Korean lady (probably the owner). She was helping me pick indoor plants at 5 in the morning. She was very helpful and kind. There were also good prices on her plants. I found the California Flower Mall on Yelp after realizing the Flower District was closed Sundays. Luckily scored street parking (meter free on Sundays!!). There were several other small shops open in the surrounding area. Flowers were a little different at all stores I passed by which is nice to have a variety! In the actual California Flower Mall were about 6-8 shops selling all different types of flowers. I had two pictures off Yelp of similar flowers from the flower district I wanted. When i asked a few shops inside, they wanted to charge me $40 when someone at the flower district got theirs for under $30! I ended up buying a pre-made set of flowers which included 8 roses for $10, a vase for $7 and a ribbon tied around the vase for $2 from the first vendor on the right. A young girl was helping me and I had asked to buy a vase with the ribbon and fabric to cover the vase. She said the price would go up from $17 to $40 to do so? Not sure where she is getting these absurd prices from. She also wouldn't sell me the ribbon alone but when I asked an older lady working there, she let me purchase it. Word of advice: Seek help from the older folks! Overall, the flower mall is small compared to the flower district but if you need flowers on a Sunday, this is the spot to come to. read more

Earlier this week marked my second visit to California Flower Mall; technically the mall doesn't open until later in the day (I was there around 5am) so many of the businesses were not open yet. Thankfully Andrews Wholesale Flowers (right by the front) were. I needed an arrangement for a funeral that I was going to be attending later that day. The workers at the stall were both incredibly helpful. They had absolutely beautiful bouquets that they were selling for $5. I told them I was looking for something bigger (an actual arrangement) and they sold me a lovely arrangement with roses, carnations, and a beautiful lily for $25. Service was fantastic and the flowers were absolutely beautiful (the family really appreciated them), plus from a florist (store) this arrangement would have easily been three times the price. From now on I am recommending California Flower Mall - and more specifically Andrews Wholesale flowers - to anyone that needs flowers. read more

My friend had a last minute wedding, and I offered to do her flowers...before I realized she had 15 tables that needed centerpieces! I had 2 days to get it together...and it was on a Sunday. Panic set in, since the Flower Mart everyone knows about and uses is closed on Sundays...enter the CALIFORNIA FLOWER MALL. There were only two reviews for this place, one of which was several years old...and that review said there were only a couple of open booths on Sundays. I asked the other reviewer (Thank you Mel H) in a private Yelp message if she knew if there were more, and she said YES! Off we went, and we were joyfully surprised. At least 35 vendors, all with gorgeous fresh flowers, all at unbeatable prices. AND, all along the streets around this place are other stores with supplies and already made creations...ON SUNDAY! BOOM. Our flowers turned out amazing, and my friend loved her centerpieces. This cost me at least 1/3 if not less than if I went to a local 'wholesale' florist in the valley. Open on Sunday vs other marts. Smaller but still great! Best time to come if you're not too picky and just need something -- Sunday at 11:15am. You get a higher possibility of parking, absolutely no crowd, and many vendors willing to negotiate and sell at better bargains. CASH is king. Unsure if some vendors take credit card, or maybe there is a higher fee. Roses come in 2 dozens = $12-$16. Fillers like baby breath or eucalyptus = $3+ Come later, and they are willing to bargain even batches into halves = half prices too! There are $5 parking lots around but Sundays = free meters, and if you're quick then you can take the 30min loading zone. read more

Definitely nowhere as big as the LA Flower District but at least they stay open later on Saturdays and doesn't require an entrance fee. Fewer stalls means fewer varieties and selection but at least it's not crowded, and street parking here is less stressful. There seems to be a bunch of open stalls for would-be vendors so if you're thinking about leasing, here might be a good spot to start selling some flowers. read more

Great price + Beautiful flowers = HAPPY recipient!!! I found a bouquet with 8 red roses & 2 white lilies = only $10!!! boo yeah~ That's right. They are open bright and early 7 days a week. Just parking on the street right in front, and you have lots of great priced, beautiful bouquets that are ready to make someone's day. :) I drove up right to the entrance of the warehouse. It's a GIANT warehouse with tons of varieties. Since it's right in the middle of the "flower" district, next to the "garment" district, in Downtown LA, it was very easy to find. I saw the BIG GREEN & ORANGE letters out front. Across the street, there is another pretty large warehouse selling similar flowers and bouquets. To be honest, you can't go wrong with this location. If you find the exact assortment of flowers, that's awesome. Otherwise, you could walk around and browse other locations within walking distance. I asked for the same arrangement and they even said I should go to a wholesale vendor in the same mall and buy a bundle of baby breaths and they will arrange it for me for $5 each. overall I spent $150 on all 12 BOUQUETS. I can't believe I have been in LA so long without going! It's great!!!!We walked around all the flower shops in the area, not just this one, and even had fun in the various beads and material shops around it, though man, there is a lot of crap! The flowers and plants were great. Most of the vendors have the same stuff but you hunt for prices, colour and freshest quality. We even walked over to the Bronzed Aussie for a delicious Aussie pie which is on South Los Angeles Street, (the one after Maple) a few minutes away. Huge Selection of various flowers and the bargains are fantastic! The pricing that really blew me away were the orchids - whether potted or in stems. You can find a nice sized potted orchid for $10-$12 (something you would pay double or more anywhere else) and a bunch of orchid stems from $8 - $9 per bunch (of 10 stems). Yes, you pay admission: $2 weekdays and $1 Saturdays but you know what, at least you have a clean environment to shop. read more

Never go to Sonia's Flowers in stalls 105 and 107. The owner was insulting, threatening, and unreliable! I pre-ordered two arrangements for a graduation from her. The flowers were not ready and they only started making them when I got there. When I got upset because I would be late to work, the owner got in my face threateningly and told me that I was a nobody. She tried to intimidate me, a paying customer, with her body and her words. She went on to order her workers to stop making the arrangements leaving me with no decorations for the kids' graduation the morning of!!! This woman game me the most insulting, untrustworthy, and personally threatening business transaction I have ever had. I recommend you never give her your money or do any business with her. Sonia's Flower shop stall 104-105, NO longer in business. Sonia Molina took my hard earned deposit for a wedding package for a wedding 11/5/2016. I went in on 10/8/2016 to make a final payment and to order corsages. Only to find her sign gone and 2 new stalls where she had her business. I last saw her in August to leave a payment, I was informed by the neighbor shop that she left in August. I was shocked and in total disbelief! She never called me or my daughter or the wedding planner. Her phone # is no longer in service. I had to reorder and pay extra for a rush job, I have used Sonia in the past, for over 5 years and have recommended her to several brides and for school functions. Sonia if you read this I will find you to recover my hard earned money. One more thing your floral neighbor said to me "she charged so cheaply and was forced to close". I never asked for a discount and no she was not cheap!!!! read more
