Went in 3 times this past week because I saw a beautiful prop picture frame with floral decorations on it. The first time I went in, I inquired about the frame prop and was told $850 for the rental, delivery charge included. Obviously it was pricey but i figured it's worth it. I showed pictures of it to my bride and groom and they also loved it. Two days later I went back with my bride so she could see it in person. She loved it. So I asked once again how much for the rental and was told $450 plus delivery which would depend on how far the venue was from their shop but no more than $250. Went back literally the next day again with the bride ready to put down a deposit and book it. Inquired again and was told $850 plus delivery. I let them know I had been quoted $450 literally the day before and that delivery would be no more than $250 depending on the distance of the venue. When I let them know the venue was less than 5 miles/about 15 minutes away the man in charge said oh it's not worth it for us to deliver it and the price is $850 not $450 but we won't deliver because it's not worth it. So I was like ok how about we rent it with no delivery and he said ok $550. Was ready to give a deposit and secure the rental for the date of wedding but then when I asked ok if we give a $150 deposit we have a remaining balance of $400 correct. He changed his mind once again and said no. It's $550 and the day you come pick it up you have to leave a check and an ID for over $1000 (price of frame). Walked out after that. First their quotes are inconsistent, second they don't think some deliveries are "worth it" and thirdly they seem to change their minds on the spot and seem to be making prices and charges as they go. Found an equally beautiful frame a few blocks away for much less and they will gladly deliver it and think the delivery is "worth it" for their business. My review got deleted. What happened? I was the person assigned to receive the flowers when Christy's delivered at a wedding venue (Castaways) back in 2010. The bride went with this florist after extensive research and found that it is the cheapest. When she told me how much, I was very pleasantly surprised at how low the price is! Fast forward to the day of the wedding and I am waiting for this florist to deliver the manzanitas. So they pull up at the gate entrance of the venue.. and proceeded to unload 23 manzanita trees right there. I told them to please pull up the truck more or please move the trees inside and the guys said "Nope. We're not doing that. The agreement is to deliver at this address, so we're delivering at this address. It doesn't say that we have to deliver inside" A friend of mine just called me right now and asked where she could get the cheapest possible manzanitas and I told her here since she's only getting two. "BUT make sure you pick up those trees yourself," I told her. I will never subject a customer/friend/client who is planning a large event to this type of treatment on their big day. Who needs the attitude and the extra stress? It might be worth i to pay the extra $10/tree to avoid dealing with negativity and annoyance on a day that is full of stress enough as it is. read more

As I was walking down the flower district in downtown LA, I just happen to see this store because of the manzanita trees, already in boxed stands, displayed outside of the store. This store by far has the most manzanita trees (I think that is basically all they sell in here, with the expection with crystals, lace material, etc that you can use to decorate your trees). I really love the brown rich color of nature manzanita trees and so I decided that my wedding centerpieces must be that. Christy Flowers has the best price and the most variety. As I ventured all along 8th street, the other stores were selling more than Christy Flowers. I purchased beautiful ones here for only $8 each, where as the other stores were selling it for $15 each. The guy said $8 is the wholesale price. The prices ranges though and I wanted to buy something nice for a cheaper price. After we picked a handful of trees that were in the $8 area, we saw a few nice ones that I believe were priced $10. When we asked the guy for price, he said he would sell those to us for $8 only, and these were just a little bit fuller and a little prettier. We really got a good price on these. I would definitely come back if I need to ever buy more manzanita trees. Don't go looking else where in the flower district because you won't find any cheaper that are this full and pretty (a few doors down there is a place that sells trees in a box for $6 but they are very small and do not look nice at all... just pay the extra $2 and get something even prettier... check out my photos so you can see what they look like) read more

I went to this florist because they were recommended to me by a family member. Well I went to their shop for my wedding flores, and meet with them like 3x's to negogiate price, flores type, and pay. One of the worker there-Freddy, swore to me he would take care of me and deliver on everything that we had discussed. He even made me a sample which I love and we agreed on a price and payed the man. Well the day before my wedding he called me like two times to discuss delivery and address confirmation, which we had already done on three seperate occassions. First of all he had my billing address as the church address....and called me later on to confirm again! As if me going down there and telling the guys three different times, you think he would have gotten it by now...but who knows maybe writting down a address is rocket science! Well come wedding day he totally rip me off! He didn't include the flores I had asked for....and downsize right about everything! Our center pieces WEREN'T WHAT WE ASKED FOR & AGREED ON! I am SO SO happy I found Christy Flowers for my wedding! My wedding was a couple of weeks ago. I ordered bouquets, alter arrangements and centerpieces for the big day. I was pretty vague in what I wanted, kept it simple, white and some calla lilies in my bride bouquet. What I got was the most gorgeous bouquets I have ever seen! The centerpieces were beyond perfect and the alter arrangements were beautiful. I have no idea how they tapped into my imagination when designing these arrangement and bouquets for me but they did and I couldn't have been happier walking into my wedding reception and seeing my vision come to life! This is the 4th time that I have booked Christy's Flowers to do my center pieces and floral decoration & not only was I amazed but all my guests have been too. I have never experienced such great customer service and known an OWNER who has cared so much about his clientele. From the first event to now the 4th event that I recently had this past weekend; his work and dedication to every one of the events have gone beyond my expectations. All the arrangements within this shop are full of creativity and you can see the dedication and pride that all the employees put into their work. It's very obvious once you step into the shop that his originality outshines the surrounding stores and many of the shops around have copied some of this shop's work in a tacky and inadequate way. I was very pleased with the service I received, I went to Roberto and asked him to make my flower arrangements for my wedding. He required a deposit for the sample he made for me for the center pieces and if agreed or liked the sample he credited me the deposit and applied it towards the order given to him. He created beautiful manzanita trees with flowers in the center for 20 table center pieces, center table tree with flowers for the bride/groom table, flowers for everyone including my bouquet and cake flowers, 2 church altar flowers. This is a tiny shop in down town LA. Ladies, if you really want Manzanita centerpieces for your wedding and don't want to pay through the roof for them this is a place for you. I bought a ready made Manzanita tree in a box from them. When I was shopping around, they were the cheapest store in down town plus they have hundreds if not thousands of trees. The girl that worked there was really nice. I only bought one little tree (maybe 30 or so inch tall) from her for only $15. She was really pleasant and helped me to go through maybe 20-30 trees until I saw the one I loved. read more

We went to so many flower decoration stores for our wedding event, and when we ran into this place, we said this is it. Roberto and his staff were friendly and very helpful, we told him what colors we want, and asked if we can see a sample, he said he would make it and we came back in an hr to look at it. It was beautiful so we told him we want the same design made for our special day.. So a week before our wedding we went down there to pay for the balance and i saw a new chandelier piece he actually recommended to use instead of the first design, and i loved it, They didn't have that at the time we went the first time. They are so convenient as well, they deliver and set it all up too. My wedding day came and omg it was so beautiful, he had made it exact and i got so many compliments on my centerpieces, people loved it and they all took one home.
