He has a mental illness and has been abused by the jail/correctioal officers. He told me that they threw balogny sandwhichs at him in the cell, strip searched him, made fun of him and denied him access to visits with grandma and I. The jail staff presents well , and seems decent, but upon looking deeper, you can see the real problems here. Most people, if not all, eventually get released from this pink castle. They go back into the community often worse off then they went in. This place is a drain on tax payers money, and its full of courruption. Just wait, this pink castle will meet the fate of every other bastille. oh, but you think this time is diffrent? let time tell.

Such a joke! Now, I will say personally I've never been incarcerated here or anywhere…read more However, I've known many & my fiance currently for the second time in recent history. Firstly, u can tell they know they're doing a bad job because u cannot find reviews or post any on Google. They've had it TURNED OFF! Secondly, u could tell more money goes in their pockets than to the facility that they get every year for funding because: -Across the board no one will tell u the food is even somewhat palatable there. The clothes are old, stained & smell no matter how much u wash them. -The mattresses for the beds aren't mattresses, they're floor mats. -The facility is disgusting regardless of the "janitor position that keeps it impeccable" like the website says. -It's run down, it's dirty. I'm not sure if any building inspectors have taken a look at it lately but they should. -The only way for inmates to be able to eat is to have money put on their books for commissary- which is only on Sundays to order. I myself have been trying for 3 days to put money on books so he can eat. I just got off the phone with the sheriff's there at the jail and asked if there was some other way besides JailATM to put money on an inmates account. All the different options they put on their website don't work. Sonoma County is not opted in on those things for whatever reason. I did explain to the deputy that even though they list Access Corrections, JPay, TouchPay, etc.. Sonoma County has opted out! Why?! I've had no issues with JailATM before and all the sudden I do now. I need to take a selfie with my ID and send it to them. But nobody's there on the weekends so it doesn't really help me out. Let's not fail to mention the inmates are locked up almost the entire 24 hours in a day. They're pretending like covid is still in full swing like it was 2 years ago. They always use the excuse if they're understaffed for everything they don't want to do whether they're in the jail or out on patrol. It's just they don't want to do their jobs. Cuz they get a lot of funding that is public information you can attain that easily..along with all the lawsuits and charges that have been brought against them. Sonoma County Sheriff has not quite a reputable reputation. They get sued a lot, and it's not surprising.

From Sleepless Nights to Peaceful Mornings -- Thank You, Clearlake PD!…read more Why is this review so hard to write? Because we're in a whole new dimension of quiet here in our little six-block neighborhood, and part of me doesn't want to jinx it. But credit must be given where it's due. For the first time in eight years, we are enjoying full nights of sleep, peaceful evenings, and mornings that feel joyous. The difference is profound -- our quality of life has improved for me, my wife, our neighbors, our children, and even the animals and wild birds (who honestly seem happier too). Two long-running challenges had made life here stressful: A "party house" blasting loud bass and lyrics into the early morning hours, week after week, year after year. A nightly chorus of barking dogs that kept the whole neighborhood awake. Somehow, the Clearlake Police Department -- both day and night personnel -- managed to bring about real, lasting change. The party house still plays music, but now it's at a respectful volume, even during the day. At night, I can put my head on the pillow and hear nothing but natural neighborhood sounds. And the barking dogs? Silent. This is no small gift. Peace and quiet are treasures, and you've given them back to us. The difference is remarkable -- it feels like the wind blew in a "quietude spell" over everything that was once too noisy. Bravo to the extraordinary dispatchers and the finest peace-keeping officers at the Clearlake Police Department. We are eternally grateful for your service. Thanks to you, our neighborhood now feels like Avalon.

Worst fire in CA history and this department is out there risking their lives to keep us safe from…read morethe fire and looters. I cannot express enough love for all emergency crews involved during this dreadful time. I wish all involved whether emergency crew or a regular citizen a safe passage to the end of this horrible time. Yes, this review doesn't exactly talk about the day in and day out activities of this department, but everyone reading this should understand that each employee of this wonderful crew have huge hearts, some leaving their families to protect others they do not even know. That is a true service if you ask me! Keep safe everyone, and again thank you this department and all others involved!

I called the non-emergency line last night driving from San Francisco to Bodega Bay. At the point…read morewe contacted them we were sitting at the corner of Shoreline Hwy (street label) and Valley Ford Rd. It was nice to be answered and the person who answered was pleasant enough, but was 1) condescending, and 2) not helpful. Condescending "Hwy 1 is a long highway, I need more information." (doh!) Not helpful "we can't tell you where the flooding is, really." We tried to explain that one flood detour at Bloomfield had led to this corner where to the left and the right were closures. So people (more than just me, maybe 6 or so cars) were taking the long detour only to have to turn around and go BACK to the original point of detour and figure out on their own that the best route to Bodega Bay was to head up Bloomfield to Sebastopol, then cross over from there back to HWY 1, or Rte 1 as https://roadclosures-sonomacounty.hub.arcgis.com/ labels it on their map. The point is that there was no desire to help. It was clear that something was going on because we did see an emergency vehicle with lights flashing head towards Valley Ford past the closure and towards the flooding. The "detour" led us to a dead end. I think the person was right in saying "we do not have real time information" (I paraphrase) but they could have been more helpful and said, "head to higher ground like Sebastopol, then try that way, depending on flooding you may encounter".
