Cannot say enough good things about Scott and Blue Marlin. We moved into a home that already had a pond in place and with young kids did not have the bandwidth to keep it going. We love animals and felt stuck maintaining to avoid the fish dying. Eventually we had a few companies come out and give estimates but ultimately came down to getting the best read off Scott. He really was sincere about rehoming the fish; he had to divide the job into two days in order to get them in their new environment as soon he could. He spent tons of timing pressuring washing every last crevice the next day. Lastly I appreciated him walking me through handling the empty basin during the rainy months to avoid an unforseen issue. I would almost consider refilling this pond just to have Scott come back out! read more

Scott has been extremely helpful,informative and efficient when working with my company and I . Our fish tank was in need of some love and most places wanted to charge us a ridiclous/unfair amount. Now, That's not to say that I didn't expect the price to be the same as another persons fish tank that has had regular care and maintenance , but i also didnt want to get ripped off. Was really impressed with Scott to begin with - he gave me suggestions over the phone. Then, I hired him and he seemed very responsible and savvy. However, he did not fix the leak in my waterfall and has disappeared. I have sent numerous text messages and left numerous phone messages and have received no response at all. I've been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt because his step-father was/is seriously ill. BUT... this has gone on for months and I have paid him for repairs that are not working without receiving any date when he will solve the problem. I hope everything is ok with him, but I would like him to follow through and fix my waterfall leak. read more

I hired Scott to clear out and rebuild our backyard waterfall/pond. He did most of the work himself, clearing out the overgrowth and sniffing out the potential problems around the area. He both reused our existing stones as well as matched and added many new stones to fill in the newly enlarged pond. I initially hired Scott to give me some feedback on a DIY pond project I was planning for my backyard. The insights he provided based on many years of experience assisted greatly in my planning process, and gave me a crash-course in the basics of pond maintenance and management. After I finished the project, I managed the whole thing on my own for some time thanks to Scott's suggestions. After a while, though, I ran into some issues with the whole thing, including the nitrogen cycle and filtration system, so I had to ask Scott to come back and do a basic maintenance for me. His work was clean and efficient, and he gave me further insights into why things had gotten to where they were. He gave my pond a thorough cleaning and run-through, and it's never looked better. I moved into a place that has an urn water fountain in the front patio. The previous owners left no instructions on how to maintain it, so I didn't know what to do with it and basically broke it.
