I spoke to Amado about replacing her walkway and could it be done in 2 days so it would be a surprise for when she got back. We decided to move forward, and we left it up to him to provide and plant what was needed to create a perfect space that was both functional for entertainment and really pleasant to just relax and enjoy. Gio and his team did not disappoint. He met (and exceeded) our expectations, and stuck to the schedule and budget. And he didn't just create planter areas and new lawn, he also installed a paver walkway to match our existing patio stones. When he was finished with the original scope, he offered to maintain the rear yard to make sure our investment (and his hard work) would continue to look as good as the day he finished. He is not a typical "mow-blow-& go" gardening service. When he and his team arrive, they look around, see whatever needs care and attention, make everything right, and leave every inch of the yard neatly trimmed and clean. He requested a large sum for the initial clean up, feeding of plants and more, I agreed. The Initial clean up was done very poorly and when I messaged him the day after he was full of excuses. So I cleaned it all up myself. Keep in mind I agreed to the large sum for the initial service as a part of the promise that he will come to service our property. He never showed up. If I could give less than one star on the review trust me I would. He is not accountable or reliable in my opinion.

Luis wants guaranteed business by charging a monthly fee to show up 2x/month year round. However, for simple lawn/hedge trimming and leaf clean-up, the amount he charges does not make sense. We struck a deal with him for ad hoc service, because nothing grows in the dry months of summer. However, we had a "no-call, no-show" during the rainy season when he had told us multiple weeks in a row that he would come by. When he finally showed up weeks later, he decided to charge us TWICE for overgrowth. Had he shown up the first time he said he would, that would not have happened. It seems he decided our business was no longer worth his time, so he decided to extract the most cash he could from us before we moved on. Needless to say, I cannot recommend Lona's to anyone after this experience.

As a person, he is very polite, attentive to any concerns you may have, and overall seems like a very kind hearted individual.
