I had never gotten to use it before. If your tire light is on, they check all your tires. This time my tire gage showed low. There was only one other person at the air check station. When they left, I pulled up. Within several minutes the attendant came. He checked all tires. The back tire was a pound low. He filled them all. He put new caps on all of them. I remember they told me that before but somehow the caps disappeared. And then the air was free. I was happy because I could stay in the car, even though their waiting room is nice. Time was saved on both sides and I left happy.

The first time I used a Pep Boys I had my wife, dog and a pile of groceries in the car when I suddenly saw my tire pressure dropping quickly. I managed to pull into a nearby Pep Boys as the tire completely went flatand not only did they immediately replace the tire so I could catch a ferry to my home island, they put our groceries in their fridge while we went next door for lunch. Cut to ABQ. I've lived here just about 16 months and I've had 3 leaking tires; all of which turned out to be nails or screws. What is up with that? I also have a new hand me down Subaru which developed an EVAP drain clog so all the water was splashing into the passenger side of the car. For all of these I went to Pep Boys and all 4 times they made the repair within an hour and all three times it was dirt cheap, mostly the standard repair charge. For the evap system I went home and it was ready by the time I got home. These guys are friendly and super fast. And they're so efficient and nice that people waiting in the lobby are friendly with each other. The last time I waited there, some college kids who were waiting were praciticing a Tik Tok dance and it was like a little party. I highly recommend Pep Boys and the Central Ave Location specifically.

I returned the vehicle shortly after the service was completed to inform Pep Boys that the issue was unresolved, but they failed to adequately correct the problem. Pep Boys thought if they removed the entire dash board from my car that they might find a leak somewhere and that that would cost $1,800.00 to perform! I declined. I did not receive the service I paid for, and therefore the charge is unjustified. I disputed with my bank and after 90 days, the dispute fell in favor of TheftBoys. Buyer beware! Take your business elsewhere!
