I came in needing to fix a flat tire but ended up having to replace both of my front tires. My service tech was super helpful in finding me tires that are good tires but also fit my budget. He also offered to replace both of my windshield wipers for me which was a service I didn't even know they offered. We are driving from Phoenix to Missouri, as I was driving to our hotel in Albuquerque I hit something in the road that punctured the sidewalk of one of my tires. It was 5:45 pm and there was no way I could get to Discount Tires before their 6:00 closing time. I put my spare on and was at Discount this morning when they opened. A young man named Alexander took care of me , and even though I had no appointment, got me out the door within 30 minutes with 2 new tires. I don't write good reviews often. I'm hard to please. Vince at DT did a very helpful "audit" of my car's tires so I would know exactly how much tread life was left in each tire. I realize they do this for every customer, but I found it particularly helpful because I had just bought the car -- a 2023 Audi. I hadn't yet taken the time to fully inspect the tires. I came into DT because I got a nail or screw in one tire just days after driving it off the lot. Also, I hadn't noticed that the car had three tires of one brand and the last tire of a different brand. Anyway, these guys have a process and it's efficient. They told me what they were going to do and exactly how long it would take, so I waited comfortably in their waiting room. In less than an hour, although they were very busy, they removed the screw from the tire, patched it for free, turned off the "flat tire" indicator on my dash and adjusted the tire pressure on all four tires to factory standards. This is such a contrast from other tire dealers I've dealt with. I will be back! read more

I am a loyal Discount Tire customer. I have never had anything but positive service from any of their locations, and I travel a lot! My tire pressure light came on when I came into NM and I immediately went to the nearest store. The associate was very friendly and he got my air checked as soon as I was the next customer. The only reason for the 4 stars is the location. This is not even close to being an ideal spot! Perhaps I'm used to the massive 8 bay stores that don't look like they were a previous oil change place. The parking lot is very small and is a hot mess when there are more than 4 cars. The entrance and air check signs are there, however, if you came in from the wrong direction, you have to find somewhere to turn around, as the parking lot is not an option. Also, due to COVID and this being a smaller store, people were waiting for their vehicles all over the place, which is not preferable. read more

Had an appointment scheduled; I checked in and waited (I was told to sit in my car and someone will come check on me). I waited for 45 minutes with NOTHING. I then see 3 vehicles get "checked on" and pulled into the bay that just pulled in after I've been sitting there waiting. I get out to ensure they didn't forget about me and 3 BOYS in Discount Tire uniforms walk by me, not even a look. The one person who finally acknowledged my existence told me to remain in my car and "someone will be with you shortly"... I waited an additional 15 minutes and still no help. Disgusting customer service. If you can't comprehend on how to run efficiently while under construction, then just close instead of wasting everyone's time. I made another appointment for a different location who I know actually gives af about their customers. Everyone at the Menaul location is lazy, dismissive and rude. read more

I have been taking my car to Discount tires for years. Mainly the same location on Menual. Thou I live closer to the JT and Candelaria I prefer the great service and honesty I have gotten from Conner and crew on Menual. Just recently I had my tires checked for air at Juan TAbo location and was sitting in the Air Check point for 10 minutes. No one came by to acknowledge me. While I was waiting I called the store and pointed out I had been sitting there for 10 minutes. The person I talked to said he would send someone right out. After another 5 minutes, a crew member fills my tires. I asked him about the wear on my tires. He marked down that I needed 2 new tires. I took that info and went to the Menual store. I had Conner take a look at my tires and he measured the numbers were different then what the JT location had given me. Conner said my tires are still pretty good for almost another year. He said he didn't want to sell me something I didn't need right now. The Menual store has always been fair with me. Never a complaint from me and I'm picky. Besides the lack of Customer Service at JT, someone should at least acknowledge me. The crew person took the wrong numbers down and said I needed 2 new tires. I couldn't believe he would try to sell new things I didn't need. Conner was right on and said he couldn't believe where the other location got his numbers on my tires to sell me new ones. I have used this Discount Tire location twice and have been happy each time. My first experience was with tired I'd bought on eBay from Discount Tire Direct. This local store was happy to work with the online tires I brought in and the price was very fair. I was extremely happy with the mount and balance. Vince helped me on this visit. My next experience was when company was in town and had a blowout. We rolled in on a donut and ended up needing to buy all 4 tires. They could have taken advantage of the obvious helpless situation we were in, but their price was extremely good for the tires and again we rolled out and were happy with the labor provided. Have been a customer for many years. I recently replaced my brakes and rotors, therefore I could not afford to change two tires for another couple of months. Stopped in to have one tire repaired because it kept leaking. When my truck was returned to me the cup holder was smashed into the dashboard and the repaired tire was over 40 PSI, which is very dangerous. Neither of these things accidental; they were intentional and malicious, another reminder of how Albuquerque earned its reputation. I was told, by the Discount employee, that my car would be ready in two hours. The given time was 12:15. I specifically asked the employee if the time frame was an estimate or a "no later than 12:15pm". He explicitly told me it may be done sooner but not later. At 12:15pm, the car was still waiting to be serviced. I made my way back to the shop and was speaking with the employee; expressing my concerns about the wait time. He was completely nonchalant and dismissive. The employee told me by car still had another 45 minutes! So this is a total wait time of three hours to fix a nail in a tire!! Don't come here if you have something to do later, you'll be here all day. And good luck talking to the employees, they are useless. read more

Apparently even if someone is outside doing air checks you have to go inside and check in for the air check still and all other check in for any job tire rotation fix a flat new rims anything comes first even though there's someone doing air checks. I took my car to get my tire that keeps going flat fixed. They said they take a look at it and fix it. I go back and they told me they fixed another tired instead which was the wrong tire. Next day my tire gets flat again so I take it in AGAIN, and they didn't even fix my flat tire. Now I still have a flat tire after taking it to them 2 different times. Every Discount Tire I have ever been to is the same. They are constantly trying to sell you tires before you need them and pushing extras that you don't want. It's slimy and shady. Makes you feel like you are on a used car lot. Plus they charge more for everything than any competitor. read more

I usually visit the west side location off of 528 and Ellison. Mainly because that was the side of town I used to live. Now that I'm on the northeast side of town this was my closest location. I will admit I went ahead and set an appointment ahead of time because I know weekends are usually very busy. Luckily, I was in and out! As soon as I walked in the door I was well taken care of. They came out with me to pre-inspect the tires on my vehicle and the milage. We then proceeded to the lobby where I handed them my keys and they did the rest. My car was in the vehicle bay within 5 minutes after they wrapped up with the vehicle previously in it. It took them about 10 to 13 minutes from there to balance and rotate my tires. All in all I was there for about 20 minutes total. I expected to be there at least an hour as that's my usual amount of wait time even with an appointment at the other location I usually go to. So I have to say being in and out of there in 20 minutes really impressed me and I was very pleased with them. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They just earned my business! I will be returning to this location not only just because of the convenience of the location but because of the great service and excellent knowledgeable staff. read more
