First time here, as my favorite Mediterranean restaurant is closed on Sundays. (Armani's). Called it in for pick up. I've tried Olives, which is very good and House of Kabob which is decent. My opinion- The food here falls in 4th place from the above mentioned restaurants. The flavor was OK but in my opinion, I have enjoyed other places more. I ordered the 2 skewer steak at $17.99 and the 3 skewer steak for $22.99. The service was good and the place was clean and quaint. The 3 stars are for A- flavor, salad had brown (wilted spots) but mainly for the pricing. The total was $40.98 plus taxes of $4.25. No receipt was given and she charged $48.75 That's $4.61 more than advertised on their Yelp menus which seems shady. Unfortunately I drove a little over 11 miles one way just to give them a try and by the time I got back home (22.8 miles) I noticed the discrepancy. Unfortunately, this will be a one and done for me.

The ground beef Lula kabobs that i had last year was tender and juicy. This time it was a little dry, but overall great home cooked meal. The chicken was very juicy and a 13-15 minute wait. This time they're selling a pistachio yogurt looking dessert and toffee pudding with Biscoff cookies in their Monster refrigerator near the front counter. They're also selling baklava and another pastry that looks like knafeh. The 3 mixed kabob meal was $24.46. I'll try the desserts next time.

First time customer. Hidden away on Avenue S, this family-owned place makes a delicious gyro. Fresh ingredients and just...superior to all the fast food offerings. I feel energized and nourished! The food here is always amazing, and I truly enjoy coming with my family--it's one of our go-to spots. However, during my recent visit to pick up a to-go order I had placed over the phone, I had an unfortunate experience with the staff member working the front counter. When I walked in, I was speaking with my boyfriend and didn't immediately hear the employee ask if I was there for a pickup. As I approached the counter, she repeated herself, but in a noticeably rude and impatient tone. The interaction continued to feel unnecessarily tense--after we paid, she told me to sign the receipt in a dismissive way. When I didn't see a designated signature line and asked where to sign, she said, "anywhere," again with an unwelcoming attitude. While the food and atmosphere are consistently great, customer service is also an important part of the dining experience, and I hope this feedback helps improve future interactions.

It's not so easy to find good Mediterranean food in the AV. I had first come to love House if Kabob, and still do. However, Cali's Kabob grill is now also my favorite. Good food. Tastes home cooked and with good ingredients. Horrible customer service from the ladies who work there. It is like the food order is an inconvenience to them. Their attitude toward customers means I won't be back anytime soon. Unless it changes ownership or they hire better staff. I am not alone in my review. I got the 3 skewer 3 different meat meal and it was incredible. The chicken and beef were juicy and flavorful, the hummus tasted delicious, the salad was fresh, and the biggest surprise the rice was plump and had flavor. We always order Cali's 6 skewer chicken kabob family meal to go. Here's what we like and dislike. Likes: Delicious chicken, rice, and condiments. Good portions. Well packaged for take-out. Good value for the price. Dislikes: They spoil the beautiful salad by putting dressing ON the whole salad. Some of us want a different dressing, and some of us want to save it for the next day and don't want it wilted! The hummus needs cumin, which I always add. There is not enough garlic sauce for a meal that is supposed to serve "4-6 people". Summary (To Cali's): Please keep salad dressing on the side, add more garlic sauce to the family size order, add cumin to your hummus. read more

This little restaurant has really great food. The chicken kabobs were super moist, the kafta was really good as well. a lot of middle eastern restaurants Kafta has way too much garlic but Cali Kabobs was nicely balanced. Overall very satisfied with meal and would definitely return. read more

Very delicious authentic Mediterranean food! Ordered family mixed kabob meal, delicious and a good price for the amount and quality of food. I also ordered a gyro wrap...also delicious. I will absolutely be going back, and yes they have an accent...that's fine by me, it just means they are cooking authentic food! Finally tried a Mediterranean place nearby. Can I say it's sooooo tasty?! The kabobs are well marinated and juicy. The rice so fluffy a flavorful. The hummus and garlic paste are bomb! They did get my order wrong because of the miscommunication, so make sure to check your to go boxes before you leave. The to go menu prices are old as they raised the prices. They do deliver within 2 miles and will charge extra going past it. Order ahead! I'll be coming back! read more

This Mediterranean place is an absolute treat. Inside it is clean, organized and has great…read moredecoration on the walls. The interior has a great aroma that was fresh and mouth watering. Outside is the complete opposite. It kind of reminds me of Nevada, there were tumbleweeds, unsafe territory and although it appears uncomfortable to walk around, there were no crimes nearby. However, at night it can be extra dangerous and scary. The food ordered was the chicken kabob combo, 6 pieces of chicken, which also included jasmine and yellow rice. The sauces ordered were baba ganoush and tzatziki. Another small side was spicy potato. Luckily this was complimentary and was not bad at all. The owner and his wife greeted me and my accomplice as we sat down. Fortunately we were the only customers which meant the wait for our food was shorter than it could be. The customer service was great and I felt safe inside. A large portrait of the Declaration of Independence was shown in front of me. A statue of snoop dogg was inside and two chairs that should be in a hair saloon were in a small corner. An interesting decor that I would otherwise not be able to see in other places. The personality of the man was unique, he was friendly but comedic at times. The negative only included getting our own food at the counter and probably portion to price ratio was off. The price was 22$ and elsewhere Mediterranean food was cheaper but not a lot cheaper. The value was okay. The best part of my meal was the texture of the chicken kabob as it was dipped in a white garlic cheese sauce and a jalapeño green one. The baba ganoush was alright, the tzatziki was fresh tasting. The experience here was outstanding. The only other negative although it was not our concern, was an elderly woman came in and was crying, begging for money because she had a disease and couldn't afford to pay for the medication at a nearby Walgreens. It was scary, but she didn't interact with us, just the owner. It was about 3 minutes and she left with some change. The owner is nice, if he was the Egyptian man as he claimed. The service was good quality and the time to get our order was fairly decent although it could have been faster. It was about a 30 minute wait more or less. I would recommend this place over the house of kebab in terms of flavor, but the price over at house of Kebob has a better value price per quantity. The taste was better here in my opinion, but the Shawarma definitely wins at house of kebob. Overall solid 5/5 experience despite the minor negatives: old woman crying, walk up for food instead of served, price per quantity/value and unsafe environment.

Even after changing jobs, I still make the trip because the food is just that good. In my opinion, this is hands down the best Middle Eastern restaurant in the entire Antelope Valley. Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The meats are tender and perfectly seasoned, the rice is amazing, the hummus is some of the best I've ever had, and the portions are generous. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming, and they make you feel like a valued customer every time you walk in. It's one of those places you can't stop thinking about after you leave. If you've never been here, you're seriously missing out. Whether it's your first visit or your hundredth, you'll leave full and happy. I came in the afternoon and luckily for me it was very chill outside. Today I decided to try the shrimp meal. It comes with shrimp, rice, salad, hummus, and lavash (the bread like tortilla). I placed my order and it was ready in about 15 minutes. Everything, was delicious and I can't wait to come back in the near future.

The dishes tasted under-seasoned and seemed to be missing the attention and care that make a meal memorable. Everyone's taste is different, but for me, the food lacked the flavor and quality I was expecting based on the reviews and reputation. Good customer service can sometimes make up for an average meal, and great food can sometimes make up for average service. Unfortunately, in my experience, neither delivered. I hope the restaurant takes customer feedback seriously and makes improvements.

I didn't finish it I just ended up drinking lunch along with the tzatziki dip. I did like the rice that came with my mother's meal too. It was flavorful and made perfectly (unlike my rice!) So for me this was a one and done type a place I'm glad I experienced it, but I won't be back.

Gee, where do I start. This place is by far THE BEST Mediterranean food place I have ever been to in my life! The restaurant is clean and spacious, with multiple tables for comfortable seating. The food is fresh, prepared to order, and delicious. Their chicken and lamb are tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. We've been to this place twice already and tried three combos so far; the chicken and lamb kabob, as well as the shawarma combo. All tasted amazing, and the portions are so generous (see pictures), they leave you full and satisfied! For dessert, we tried their Kenafe and Baklava, absolutely delicious! What I really loved about this place, aside from the perfect food, is that it's family owned and the owners greet you with big smiles and gracious hospitality.
