I hate to negatively review a small business publicly, but Callas negligence has been beyond frustrating. I ordered a Deluxe arrangement from Callas and what was delivered to my mother was extremely disappointing. It does not equate to the value we paid for ($150) and nothing we ever would've picked out to gift to our mom. I've reached out multiple times now in attempt to make this right but in 10 days have heard nothing from Callas. Yet, they're sending me marketing emails on the regular now. The day before the wedding we had to change our outdoor wedding ceremony to an indoor ceremony due to weather. Not a single thing was done as we talked about in our two hour long meeting where notes were taken - it was SO WRONG, it seemed as though he mixed our flowers up with somebody else's wedding. Bout's for the men were so wrong but called to tell him before the wedding, said they would be fixed & brought back then came with two twigs tied together that looked HORRIBLE. TERRIBLE. Worst customer experience ever. I flew in to attend a baby shower and called Andrew at Callas a little over a month in advance to order a large quantity of flowers for the entire event. I was told I would receive a call-back a few weeks before the event, which never happened. When I arrived the day before the shower to pick up the flowers, the woman there had no idea what I was talking about and when she finally found my order in the computer (which was never placed) she tried to sell me a handful of random flowers I didn't order for $200! She was incredibly rude and stand-offish, with no apologies and no suggestions on how to make it right. The whole experience was so appalling it was almost laughable. I ordered 2 baskets of Gerber Daisys for Easter. I picked them up on Saturday ( no one to help me find them in the cooler and 1 person working the day before Easter). My fiance and I went to the florist less then a week before our wedding to order a specific bouquet we found a picture of online and a matching boutineer. The staff was very accommodating and made us feel confident they could complete our order on time as requested. I paid $50. For a bundle of daisies then charged 15 for tax and delivery. I asked my granddaughter to send me a picture. I was floored. Broken flowers and several wilted flowers, a small bundle. I did not have them designed in a vase because my granddaughter is very creative and had a vase. I did not ask her to send me a picture of the second bunch because I was so disappointed already. These flowers were not as pretty as the $19.00 bunches at cosco. The lady said they must have gotten damaged when they were delivered. I am a local so I do not know what they were thinking. I realize it is difficult to restock inventory during this pandemic, but I should have been informed if they did not have pretty flowers in stock. My granddaughter just got out of the hospital so these had to be extra nice and fresh and they were not, the greenery didn't even look good. good. read more

I've been using Callas In the Inlet to deliver flowers to my mom and aunt going on 7 years now. Have always had the friendliest, most efficient service until this past Mother's Day. The person who took my order messed up in several ways, including day of delivery. Andrew the owner took my call and could not have been kinder and more professional. He got another bouquet prepared for my mom and had it delivered to her and let her keep the wrong item (an outside plant that needed to be planted). If I could issue a half star I would. In December 2013 I ordered an online flower arrangement for $45 that looked absolutely beautiful with rich reds and bright whites. What they delivered was a single stalk amaryllis that did not open until after Xmas. I know this because they could not find the delivery location and instead dropped it off at my house. In March I tried to use this florist again for a Murrell's Inlet delivery. I called and asked a question before a placing an order. They said they would get back to me, but they did not call. Attempts to call them resulted in finding only a full VM service. Odd company, at best. read more

I recently ordered a Teleflora bouquet directly from Calla's Florist. The POSITIVES: the people I spoke with are friendly. The bouquet was large and fresh (very minimal browning on the edges of some of the roses...not happy for the price I paid, but could've been worse). The colors used, were close to the colors in the picture (though they were brighter). It arrived on time. The NEGATIVES: The arrangement that was pictured online: was full with very little spaces between the individual flowers...mostly roses, gerber daisies, and hydrangea, with very little filler flowers of peruvian lilies?, tiny mum-like flowers, and carnation. had no greenery to speak of (no green leaves used as fillers). The hydrangea was a full mophead variety, offwhite/green, with a slight blush. Its presence was a major player in the romance and fullness of the bouquet. had a wide green ribbon wrapped neatly around the vase, with two thin pink ribbons tied in little bows, on top of the green ribbon. The overall look of the bouquet was full and romantic. The actual arrangement from Calla's: the hydrangea was green, not full, and not a big presence. The colors of the flowers were brighter, not soft and romantic. Used a lot of greenery, leaves, etc., as fillers. Used more "other" flowers, like carnations and mums?, rather than using mainly the three major players in the online picture: roses, gerbers, hydrangeas. Used a wide green ribbon slapped happenstance around the vase, with strings of raffia slapped on top of it. The recipient commented that it looked like it had been tipped over enroute. imo, I could have purchased two full, nice bouquets from Bi-Lo, and put them in a vase and achieved the same look that I paid $100 for (with delivery and tax). Bottom Line: I would not recommend this florist. The two stars are for the friendly staff, and the freshness and size (I ordered the premium) of the arrangement. read more

I ordered flowers via FTD for my mother's birthday and this is the florist FTD used to fill the order. On arrival the arrangement looked lovely - just like in the FTD photo. However, within 4 days, the flowers began to droop and turn brown. Not acceptable. FTD refunded my money. I had a previous experience with this florist. A friend sent me flowers. When they came, they looked like Callas had stopped at the local Kroger's and jammed the flowers in the vase. If FTD will only use this florist, I will not order flowers for local delivery from them again. read more
