BUG problem. I have complained and tried many solutions like bug sticky traps and at home mixtures to catch these nats. the trash is left in a room to collect nats and flies and probably not taken out nearly enough. a couple days ago the nats got into my english muffins (unopened and purchased from target DAY OF). and now my drink. not to mention a nat died IN my drink. this is disgusting and i have only lived here a couple weeks. what is going on? not to mention my fridge is leaking and maintenance visited and "fixed it" but had just turned the ice machine off. it is leaking again. there was also black mold on the window sill prior to moving in, which I had to remove personally. I have run into many issues, and for the price do not feel i am receiving what i pay for. read more

Callaway is safe and nice. however they outsource electrical which makes living here very annoying sometimes. OGNE is the company they use. They have incompetent customer service reps and are very hard to deal with. Just note you will have an issue dealing with these useless people at OGNE read more

This will be my 2nd year living at Callaway. Really no complaints when it comes to management or Callaway itself. Just be prepared to deal with your stereotypical college students (loud at night), but that's expected at any close campus apartment complex. I've had a really good experience living here and resigned my lease for this reason. I love how close it is on campus and the parking garage is a plus. Management and maintenance people are super nice and helpful. I've heard some complaints from my friends but those are individual issues. read more

I have lived at Callaway House Apartments since 2021. You will not find an apartment complex that as safe* to live in as this, nor this close to campus. The amenities are clean and well cared for. The gym is very well equipped, and the study lounge is well stocked. Maintenance is typically very prompt in responding to complaints, and you will frequently see the custodial staff maintaining the hallways and common areas. They are very kind and helpful. *My main issues with the complex is with upper management at American Campus. The lease is written in such a way that they are not liable to protect the garage or the apartments students are renting. While this is hardly a problem in the main building and apartments themselves, this has been heavily exploited within the garage between 2023 and 2024. There have been numerous break-ins, vandalisms, and one car was even stolen out of the garage. There are no cameras, nor does there seem to be any plans to install them. That is my one big issue with this complex, however that will be an issue anywhere near a college campus. Be diligent about locking your car, park backwards facing the wall, and get a dash cam. read more

Just this week, the power went out on Monday, people robbed three cars in the parking garage on Tuesday, the ethernet went out, and the office is closed for zero reason on Friday. We pay a premium to live at Callaway House Apartments and are treated like we pay a discount. I would not recommend to anyone if they are looking to live here. You can also hear every step when someone is walking in the floor above you. The only upside is the location. Not worth the new price at all (my rent went up 25% in the 2 years I lived here). read more

The callaway management is without a doubt the worst experience with customer service I have ever had.The unit above mine regularly threw their dogs feces off the balcony and caged their barking and clawing dog all hours through the day. The callaway office could not care less about this, as their manager Molly Parish laughed when I mentioned the problem. At no point were they willing to resolve the issues, and every opportunity they have to take responsibility they will try to convince you that you are the problem. 0/10 experience, avoid at all costs read more

I live here right now & overall, i love the space & the property. There are just minor inconveniences that don't affect my living space necessarily. Just annoying things that management can fix. The door that a lot of people go to their apartment through has been broken for over 2 weeks now, so people prop the door open. This is a huge safety issue. The door being broken also is an inconvenience because then everyone has to walk around to the front then find their apartment(mine is on the opposite side). Other things such as the elevator breaking every now & then is a hazard for people with disabilities and injuries who can not use the stairs. Other than that, I've had a few staff members be straight up rude to me. Besides those few things that don't affect my apartment directly, i love the space i have here & all the amenities. read more

People working here are very friendly and helpful. Service requests are taken care of quick. Great price considering you get a pool and gym. they also have a roommate matching system which worked great. not sure why reviews are so bad but they must have put effort into making it better! unfortunately garage parking is limited tho read more

My daughter has lived at Callaway for two years and is generally really happy. The big problem lately has been theft. Her bike was stolen while locked up right in front of the building and her GPS was stolen out of her locked car in the parking garage. Now this morning the seat was stolen off of her brand new bike. All of this has happened this semester and we are just at midterm. While I know Callaway is not technically liable, it would be nice for the management team to take the issue more seriously and consider installing cameras or having security in the building. Since we have continued to pay rent and parking even during the six months of COVID she wasn't able to stay there, I just wish I felt like there was more consideration for us sticking with it and renewing her lease for her senior year. This was a decent apartment the first year I moved in (I was one of the first residents to live there when it opened). That being said all positive aspects of this apartment went down the drain with recent events that has been happening. Both me and my boyfriend live in this apartment. On Thursday night, his A/C stopped working and he submitted a ticket to fix it. It is Monday and he has had no A/C with hot 100+ degrees summer weather outside over the last 4 days. This is a health hazard and is simply unacceptable. He called Callaway to see when they will fix it and their response is simply to 'wait it out'???? None of the key scanners work either so expect to wait outside until someone to let you in. Absolutely horrible. I don't understand how they expect you to just 'live' in no A/C, how about they shut down the A/C in the front office and learn to 'live with it' for 4+ days? (I bet that's the first thing they're going to fix, but if a resident WHO IS PAYING RENT has with no A/C then it's fine for them to just 'wait it out' for days). We are just lucky that my room still has A/C but it's ridiculous that he can't even be in his own room because it's just way too hot. So be warned. In my boyfriend's case, you'll pay $1000+ per month to live in a room with no A/C in 100+ degree weather and be told to 'wait it out' until god knows when they decide to fix it. I'm from a third world country and I've seen far better accommodations for less. Do better Callaway. EDIT: The maintenance staff finally came and fixed the A/C (took two tries though). He was very kind and accommodating, tried his best, and was very thorough and even double checked to make sure the A/C was fixed once and for all. The problem isn't the maintenance staff - it's management (American Campus is horrible). read more

This place sucks. I've lived here for 2 years and will never recommend it to anyone. The wifi is trash. I can't even use my phone in my own room. I have to go on the balcony because it doesn't even work in the living room. The hot water (that residents pay for, it's not included) only lasts 10 minutes, if that. The elevators never work and the door to get in by the elevators also does not work. For this being a new building, there sure are TONS of issues. My balcony got egged a few months ago and nobody ever came to clean it up so there's mold all over it. Oh and don't forget about the parking garage. There is rarely parking available on my floor. My car got towed because I parked over yellow lines because there was not a SINGLE spot open (this is not an exaggeration) during a hail storm. All in all, this place sucks and the management sucks even more. Literally would rather live anywhere other than this crappy apartment complex. If you have the option, DO NOT LIVE HERE!! read more

Overall I really enjoy living here! There are only a few things that I have gripes about. Some minor things include when packages arrive and you were tracking where you ordered them from you can tell when they arrive. Callaway then takes all day to send out the notice that you can pick it up and when they do send it, it is 5 minutes before their office closes so you can't pick it up until the next day even if you need it right then. A few bigger gripes and issues I have is that the parking garage would be better with parking spots assigned per floor, it is very difficult to find parking on your floor which makes parking a hassle. Also trucks and bigger vehicles park wherever they want making parking and driving more difficult. Lastly and what I think is most important is the elevators. The elevators are fine when they work, but every once in a while the elevators will stop working which means you have to take the stairs. For everyone else I'm sure this is fine, but I have a knee ailment that gets SUPER agitated when I use stairs. When this happens in a day when I have classes I can't go to class. And it is not just one elevator, it is all of them. read more

The day I arrived the apartment was filthy, they'll try to fine you for any little thing. You most likely will not be able to receive a parking pass unless you sign a lease a year in advance. The staff is actually really nice, but the higher ups are stubborn and don't work with any situation. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Very clean, modern, apartment complex. Easy walk to school and maintenance issues are fixed quickly. Staff is great.

I have many problems. I just recently moved in and I wish I can move out immediately. First of all, the parking sucks. They need to make designated parking spots so it correlates with your floor. Second, the trucks need to be given a specific parking space because they park in the worst possible areas and I constantly almost get hit when I'm going 2 mph up the ramp because I can't see anything and neither can the on coming traffic see me. Another problem I have is that I can hear literally everything around me. Parties are happening so often and callaway does nothing about it. The halls smell like smoke and weed all the time. People keep slamming doors and you can hear people walking above you. The trash cans get full so fast and stays that way for a while, gets backed up and you end up having to leave it on the floor in front of the chute. Another thing is that they kicked out my friends and family for having guests over that they had gotten permission previously to have. And then they fined them. If you love crappy parking, weed and parties then come on over. read more

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. The first day I moved in I told them the fan in the bathroom and the dishwasher weren't working...two weeks later maintenance came up and fixed it. If you are thinking about staying here, you need to stay in the 5th (top) floor because every time someone above you walks, you can hear it clear as day. The first three weeks I stayed there, I had to call the "worker on call" between 12-4am to shut down the music and partying upstairs. Not only that, but last night, one of the two people above me got wasted while having a party in their studio apartment and threw up outside of their window. Not the toilet, but outside the window where that throw up landed straight on my window. I called twice today, and no one can help me "at the moment". The puke is dry and is going to stain and they can't do anything to help right now. Also very overpriced for the size. There are parties almost every night, trash everywhere from the elevators, to the street, to the halls. People smoke weed in their apartments and don't realize that they can open a window, so the entire floor reeks of it. This place is awful and I would move out today if I could....good luck to the next person to move into these apartments. read more
