Trust me when I say Claudia will exceed any expectations you have for any project. I found Claudia from googling "San Diego calligrapher" and I am SO blessed that I found her. Claudia answered the phone right away and she invited me to her cute shop in Old Town and that is when I saw she does so much more than just wedding invites. I immediately asked if she could help me with more projects for my wedding. Claudia helped me with my wedding invitations, designed and created the most beautiful day of stationary; church programs, table seating chart, menus, table numbers, place cards, bar menu, and signs. Claudia can truly do anything and if you don't know what you want she has so much experience and knowledge to create what is true to you and your partner. She created things I've never seen done and she does it in such a calm and peacefully manner. Her husband, Eric is such a great graphic designer as well and they make the perfect team. I loved coming into the shop and working with Claudia, it truly was a highlight in our wedding planning journey that I will never forget. Thank you Claudia and Eric for providing San Diego and beyond with your beautiful talents! I can't wait to work with Claudia for other life events in the future.

Over the last two years, I've had the pleasure of attending a few local events where Signs of Our Lives was present, and they always manage to bring something special to the occasion. From custom dog tags to etched wine glasses, their ability to create unique and personalized items for each event is truly impressive. This year, I unfortunately couldn't make it to Scoops, but got the biggest dose of FOMO when I saw Signs of our Lives had a pop-up in the VIP booth featuring engraved ice cream spoons. It was such a cute and creative touch that made me consider getting a VIP ticket for next year. I absolutely love seeing Alex at the events I attend, and I'm looking forward to their next activation.

She came up with several design options that included fonts that fit with our wedding theme, and she was flexible and accommodating when we had to change our wedding date because of Covid. In the end, she delivered show-stopping final products that we just loved. Alexis was super organized, stayed on top of everything, and collaborated with us all along the way. Her designs truly helped to elevate our curated design aesthetic for our wedding, and we could not have been happier with the results. When I first met Taryn to talk about different ideas and options for our invitation, we talked about having a clean, tropical feel for our invitations. I also asked her to created a tropical monogram which we incorporated throughout the entire wedding. She was amazing with working with me on different ideas, any changes that I needed, and also helped out with making sure I was watching the budget as well. My husband makes surfboards, and we wanted to use a board he made as our "guest book." Taryn helped us make the monogram and worked with my husband on a special design items he needed to make the board as well. We made two different boards, and Taryn helped place the white vinyl monogram on one of the boards and it turned out amazing. We loved every piece that she created for our wedding suite invitation and all of her day of items (menus, seating chart, table numbers, napkins, signs, etc.) Taryn is an AMAZING artist and is so creative. Above all, she is the sweetest person, who is honest and truly went above and beyond for us. We are so sad our wedding is over and that we won't be able to keep creating new items together. Taryn takes on every task with a smile and is willing to try writing on pretty much anything. For our wedding we used confetti crackers as escort cards and Taryn's calligraphy took them up a notch! Our guests couldn't help but swoon over how pretty their names looked in her writing - so much so they a lot of them refused to pop the crackers and tucked them away in their purses as if they were the favors! (can you blame them though?). I still have the one she did for my husband and I proudly displayed on a bookshelf in our home! I've also attended one of her courses and she is an excellent instructor. She's kind, patient, and very thorough. She takes the time to explain the art of modern calligraphy, share information about what products she uses, and answer any questions you might have. Her workshops are adorable with beautiful flowers, amazing food, and tasty treats! My friend and I were having so much fun practicing the alphabet and asking her questions - before we knew it the 3 hours were up and it was time to go home! I can't stress enough how talented and passionate Taryn is about what she does. It not only shows in her work, but with the fact that she's willing to share that talent by teaching others the art of modern calligraphy. Moreover, the crystal was scratched and I wanted it replaced. Mo, the honest and meticulous business owner he is didn't recomend the latter because it would interfere with the aesthetics of the watch. I went through with inspection and repair and declined replacing the crystal based on his recomendation. The watch came back in perfect functional capacity. Ironically, I bought my grail shortly thereafter so I don't even wear the Tag anymore, but I will have it serviced with Mo and not at Rolex in the future.

After a brief consultation at the shop, I went with their 3M Ceramic IR film - 15% for all sides, rear windows & sunroof and 35% front windshield. At first, I wanted to black out my front windshield. However, I occasionally have to place a handicap placard on my rear view mirror when transporting certain family members. Danny strongly recommended that I go with a light enough film to be still able to see the placard when displayed, obviously for legal reasons. Thanks Danny for the recommendation! Danny initially mentioned that it would take about 4 hrs but they got me out very quickly in just a couple. Lastly, at the completion, he made sure to let me know about little details like to not open my windows for the next 2 days to let the film settle and also that I may notice some streaking/air bubble-like appearances on the films which will ultimately disappear. (Putting my trust in Danny since these were quite noticeable as I left the shop. ) Great pricing with Lifetime warranty, too! Overall, I had a great experience from beginning to end.
